  1. Apologies for the delay. It's really tight and I've had to run several recounts. Winners will be announced later today.
  2. LEGOman273, I've moved your post in here because it's more suited to this speculation thread.
  3. This looks amazing! I see they've solved the STickers-Across-Multiple-Pieces problem of the old one. Thanks again, GRogall!
  4. Next LEGO Exclusive Set - 10226 Sopwith Camel revealed! Special thanks once again to GRogall for providing these images. Click the picture, or here, for more information in the Special Themes Forum!
  5. Dear Captain Fortune, Bumping old topics is widely considered to be poor internet 'etiquette' for several reasons. The Eurobricks staff work hard to keep the site readable for the sites many members, and bloggers have to sift through a lot of information to find newsworthy topics. Many members read the site via the 'View New Content' option. Every time you bump an old thread you make navigating the site a little harder for members and staff alike. Please be considerate to others when posting, and try to refrain from indulging yourself at others' expense. If so much as one member complains, then you have done something to upset someone, and we have to take some action. We want every member to have fun, and enjoy Eurobricks. If we ask you not to do something, it is for the benefit of the community as a whole, so please take on board what we say, and don't take it personally. Thanks! Rufus
  6. I'll merge this shortly with the Friends Controversy thread.
  7. VOTING IS NOW CLOSED. Expect the results to be announced in about 24 hours.
  8. Please read the rules! You can only place four votes for any one entry. Only four will count unless you change your votes.
  9. We deliberated over this, but decided on this setup for two main reasons: Having two categories would mean diluting the prize pool (especially with the sets kindly provided by TLG); The distinction between Landmark and Architect series is nominal only, and refers more to the type of building rather than the model. You could have a 2,000 piece MOC of a famous landmark in Landmark Series and a 100 piece MOC of a less well-known building by a renowned architect in Architect Series, making the distinction rather meaningless. Still, were we to run a similar contest in future, we'd definitely consider it.
  10. Just to be slightly pedantic: 'The City of London' refers specifically to the financial district. If referring to London as a whole, it would be okay to say 'the city of London', but most people would just say '... in London.'
  11. Please try to avoid bumping ancient threads without good reason! Thanks.
  12. This entry is in violation of the rules, and therefore ineligible for the contest. Please refer to the Official Statement. Please use this thread to comment on the MOC itself, but no further discussion regarding eligibility will be tolerated. Thanks.
  13. +++ OFFICIAL STATEMENT +++ Entry number 13 - Hagia Sophia by Artizan This entry appears to be a high-quality digital render rather than a real LEGO build, and as such it breaks the rules of the contest. The entrant has been given fair chance to prove otherwise, but appears unable and/or unwilling to do so. Therefore, after much deliberation, it has been decided that this entry will not be eligible for prizes, nor will it count in the final vote tally. It is too late, and would be too complicated, to ask members to change their votes now (though they may do so if they wish until the voting thread closes). Votes for entry number 13 will be ignored. We are disappointed that these events might seem to detract from an otherwise extremely high quality contest, and I personally would like to apologise to the other contestants that this rule infraction was not caught before voting commenced. Above all, Eurobricks will not tolerate dishonesty in any of its contests, and this outcome seems to be the fairest solution for all the other entrants. Rufus
  14. Voting will close at 1600 hrs GMT on 17 April 2012.
  15. Ummm... I really don't think this needs another topic. Didn't you already ask this question in the other topic? Merging.
  16. Was this necessary? If you don't have something constructive to add, don't post.
  17. Thank you everyone! And thanks especially to Pandora and Hinckley for an unforgettable birthday weekend! Awwww.... thank you so much, Rick! We did have a little difficulty. 19. Just before the heroes return to Heroica Hall, Rufindel remembers to hand the Scroll of Sealing back to Atramor. Thanks, Atramor! Great to fight with you again. Take care of McCaffery now Cronk, Nyx, farewell!
  20. Thank you, Acting Captain Patricia. I'll wait for Pandora to divvy the loot before locking this.
  21. Your entry counts. I was just explaining why the pyramid wasn't on the map. It is now.
  22. Thanks for the coverage! 'Friends' is hosted in Town, so I'll move the thread there.
  23. Thanks for an awesome game, Hinck! The story-telling was beautiful, funny, and intriguing, and kept me guessing despite supposedly being on the side 'in the know'. I confess I didn't really have much of a clue what we as demons were supposed to be doing, so I just concentrated on the challenges and tried to keep a low profile in the thread so I didn't accidentally help the good guys. I still don't know what 'actions' the 'town' had, but figured Peppy must be important somehow, and Tammo seemed to know what he was doing from quite early in the game. Scummos - I had great fun with you guys! I'll second my teammates in congratulating Cornelius on being an awesome demon leader, who kept our morale up even when things started to turn against us. Sieggy - you really should play mafia more! You'd be great on a scum team. Well done Townies on figuring us out! Sorry it didn't translate into a win. Good work Tammo - but Hinck is right, you really shouldn't gloat! That had the effect of firing us up, and making us work harder to beat you guys. Still, I think Foog sums it up best for me: I really wouldn't have complained (much ) if the result had gone the other way - it turned out nicely poised in the end!
  24. That one was a late inclusion. As sure as I can be. If you have specific concerns, PM me.
  25. You could always vote. I've moved your post out of the voting thread.
