TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff
Fugazi replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You bring up a good point, there definitely should be a way to identify MOCs for which instructions are available. I'm not so keen on indexing every digital MOC, mainly because I like to know that the methods and part choices have been validated by building a physical counterpart. On the other hand I'm sure that LDD MOCers would appreciate their creations being indexed as well. I need to give this more thought. Opinions are welcome, there's plenty of time to figure out the best way to do this. I don't plan on tackling the MOC index until the Train Techopedia has been fully brought up to date, which will take a while longer.- 563 replies

Those fantastically expensive 1:87 LEGO cars/trucks
Fugazi replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for the interesting read! For some reason I thought that HO scale (1:87) was an American thing and I couldn't figure out why LEGO would invest themselves in that scale, but after a quick visit to Wikipedia I know better! Turns out that HO was actually developed in Germany, so the market for 1:87 cars must have already been good there in the 1950s. -
The 6661 Mobile TV Studio Set - Strange German Variation
Fugazi replied to LEGO Historian's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for the update Gary! It does sound unusual that there would be no record of these official promotional sets, but it has been more than 30 years and perhaps the employees who would know more about it are no longer with LEGO. The sealed WDR sets must be quite valuable now! -

I don't think there are, but feel free to start a new topic for your MOC as they tend to get lost in that Wacky Challenge thread.- 563 replies

Galen was walking towards the marketplace at a brisk pace. The rogue was smiling, despite dark bruises and cuts covering every square inch of his body. Beatrice liked to play rough, but after a while she would always leave that shell of hers and take him straight to paradise. He had helped her settle in the new secret Progg lair, and they thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. But time flies and Galen had to consider his next move. First get some supplies, then hit the Hall to heed the call of duty. He sold Fabian his weathered Leather Armour for 15 gold (30/2) and handed back a Fauxthril Shuriken to Anwil who threw it on a pile of similar items and handed Galen 25 gold (50/2). Galen then asked Anwil to sharpen his old Throwing Dagger (WP:4 ranged, Permanently Crumbling) and restore its lost shine (upgrade to WP:16 for 50+60+70+etc=1260 gold). While Anwyl was working, Galen headed to Portia's shack and replenished his stocks of indispensable consumables. He picked 2x Soma (2x45=90 gold), 7x Nostrum (7x35=245 gold), 7x Mead (7x15=105 gold), 6x Smelling Salts (6x25=150 gold), 9x Grand Potion (9x10=90 gold), 4x Phoenix Essence (4x50=200 gold), 5x Remedy (5x10=50 gold) and 2x Mulled Wine (2x55=110 gold). Total: 2344+15+25-1260-90-245-105-150-90-200-50-110=84 gold. Fully loaded Galen recovered his dagger, still warm from Anwyl's sharpening stones, and made his way towards the Hall.

TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff

The MOC index has been updated to include all your latest. As usual please let me know if I have missed anything. Do take note however that: - MOCs posted before 2012 aren't currently indexed with thumbnails, and there's no plan to go through all of them and create thumbnails. However if there are specific older MOCs that you would like added to the index I can do so on an individual basis if you provide me with a thumbnail (must be precisely 160x120) and a link to the original topic, either in this thread or PM. - WIP threads aren't indexed. If your WIP project gets completed and you post final pictures please give me a shout so that I don't forget to add your MOC to the index (and edit your topic title if need be). - Please provide at least one embedded (deeplinked) picture in your thread, links are boring. If you are linking to your pictures because they're oversized, thanks for following forum rules! However it would make your topic much more appealing if you took the time to resize at least one picture and embed it in your post. It will also make it less likely that I miss your MOC in regards to the indexing. There are tutorials available for resizing and deeplinking images. - Digital MOCs (LDD or otherwise) aren't currently indexed. I am considering creating a new index for LDD MOCs when LXF files are made available by the author. Feel free to share your thoughts on how digital MOCs should be dealt with here. Thanks for your help and carry on!- 563 replies
