Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Galen was growing worried. The discussion between Sylph and The Regret didn't sit well with him, even though he couldn't understand most of it. He had never asked Sylph about his past, as it was the kind of conversation one would start around a campfire, mug in hand -- and so far they never had a chance to rest and reflect. But what was Sylph, and how old was his soul? Could he really become angry and hateful over time? Or was The Regret only trying to mess with their minds? "You're not going to make any friends today, Regret, so stop trying." -
As far as I know there is none. I may be wrong though. Yes, but review indices are slowly being migrated to the EB Set Index, and that's possibly why the Historic review index hasn't been updated. It's all a work in progress, please bear with us!

"Gah... We need to get rid of that puppet-string. It's barely holding together, we can do it!" OoC: Alexandre didn't get a second attack when he was hexed earlier. -

"I agree with Sylph. You have so much power, but you certainly don't write your destiny. The only thing that eludes you is the most important: control over your life, or what is left of it. You are condemned to spend the rest of eternity torturing yourself until you become so deeply mad that you lose touch with reality. Perhaps it has already happened, and how would you know? Believing that killing every human will make any difference to your sad life is just a sign of your insanity." -
Welcome to Eurobricks, Blagnet. I will move your creation to the Licensed forum where it belongs, but please edit your post to include more details about your creation than just a link to Cuusoo. Embedding your MOC photos in the post above would be a good start.

"Come on Hal, lead the charge on that puppet-string like only you can do!" OoC: You're right, only now I notice that Alex's attacks are rolled just like ours. Somehow I assumed that he was treated like an enemy instead. -

"Slow and steady. It's been the strategy for the whole day, and it hasn't failed us yet. But let's get Alexandre back, I miss him and his Guardian Angel." -

Galen was disgusted by the gusto with which Rhodos recalled the death of Johon's family. Death was too kind a punishment for that sick Progg, Galen wished he had the power to burn his dead soul to ashes. "The more the Progg leaders terrify and disgust me, the more hope I hold for the Progg people. How could they not hate and attack us with such evil influence spurring them on? But with The Regret and his puppets soon gone, perhaps there's still a chance for forgiveness and peaceful coexistence." Galen cast a dark look at Alexandre's puppetstring, still holding tight, then turned to attack the Regret. OoC: I should have a little more HP thanks to my being blessed. -

"I haven't lost faith in Lady Luck yet... though she has been fickle indeed. I need her, it would be a shame to lose all the effects I'm boosted with." Not 100% sure, but that could be the free hit damage from Claws A and B respectively. -
According to Brickset, this is meant to be a polybag, so the size of the wheels should not be surprising. However there could be other sets planned around this license. In any case, I will be moving this topic to Licensed.

"I hope this works, because the backlash will be terrible. By my calculations I will receive two free hits, or am I just confused?" OoC: Not targeted: Calamity Claw, Tail, Sceptre, Rhodus, Alexandre. "Oh wait, Alexandre will be sleeping like a baby!" -
There was some discussion here: Fixing loose clutching bricks, but without a real answer. Clear nail polish can certainly help, although you may need to replace it as it wears off.

"Hmm... unkillable? That's definitely something to think about. We thought we killed you once, yet you're back stronger. Are we fighting in vain? Or can we strip you of power and leave you to drift helplessly through the realm of the dead, unable to twist the minds of dead and living alike for your dark purposes? There must be a way to stop you, despite your claimed immortality -- if that term applies to someone who's already dead. We will find it, and you should be worried." -

"I guess it depends on which happens first at the end of the round, the damage or the healing. Either way, it will keep some appendages busy healing and expending their own health in the process. But the risk of contagion is high." -

Galen throws Romulus's weapons back to the werewolf. "I will be watching you, turncoat." "Should I consider using Plague Venom, or can it end up more of a liability given that it can be turned back on us?" OoC: Oh so this is no battle against monsters, this really is a battle against the QM! A totally different challenge! -

Still shaken from Aranoc's sudden entrance and just as sudden demise, Galen jumps when he sees Aquos' tendrils edging towards the group. "Aquos? Has the Regret summoned you just like the Bleeding? Are all of our dead enemies coming back to exact vengeance on us?" The prince didn't appear to be in a fighting mood though, so Galen was more puzzled than ever. -

Galen was in awe of the daunting Progg and couldn't find the words to express his fear. Trying to focus on something else, he thought longingly of a nice meal in Heroica Hall. But it was hard to keep his mind from the towering monster before him. Sighing, he tightened his grip on the Goblin Wrench. -

"You would make a poor doctor, Regret. You would kill the patient instead of trying to heal them. Perhaps if you tried to understand why there is so much conflict, violence and war you would see that more violence is not the solution. Maybe the Proggs look perfect to you because they don't fight among themselves -- but they're at war, and they spend their time inflicting pain and misery on others. Even then, you must have realised that the poisons we're using on you, the bombs that are thrown at you are made by your own people. Your own divided people, must I add. Proggs and humanoids are very much alike, for good and bad. You're just as diseased as we are."
