  2. There is already a Kre-O Star Trek topic in Community, where clone brand discussions generally belong. I will merge this shortly.
  3. Remember though that pictures posted on EB should be no larger than 800x600. You should resize anything exceeding that size before embedding in a post.
  4. According to Bricklink, the colour in which the most parts were made is actually white! (6657 unique white parts in the Bricklink database versus 5168 in black* and 4183 in red) *This figure does include parts made of black rubber.
  5. Sorry I'm late for the debriefing, anyway I don't have much to add to all that has been said -- great game set-up, hilarious daily comics, lots of energy in the game and all players really gave their best... perhaps with the exception of the last day, with the town sloppily rushing to lynch Pala. But credit is due to the scum team for a brilliant game and a flawless performance! I think that anonymous playing has great potential as a recurring set-up, although I wouldn't use it every game. Variety is the spice of Mafia! Last but not least, the abusive attitude of a few players during this game really pissed me off. Had I been the host, after one warning I would have started removing players from the game. Hinck must be commended for keeping his cool when things were going south fast. Well... I had a scum and a neutral in the crosshairs, so the plan was sound! I just didn't survive long enough to do anything about it.
  6. And the winners of the Wacky & Weird Locomotive Challenge are: Category A: Locomotives Tied for first place: Fenaughty and Commander Wolf ! Fenaughty Commander Wolf Category B: Rolling Stock and Miscellaneous Tied for first place: Haddock51 and Electricsteam ! Haddock51 Electricsteam Thanks for taking the time to vote, well done to all who submitted entries and congratulations to the winners!
  7. I'm leaving this open for a few more hours in case there are any last minute votes.
  8. I have merged this with a previous discussion.
  9. I'm not sure what this topic is about. If the original poster would like to reopen the thread, please PM me with more details or a link.
  10. Please note a new entry in Category B, by LEGO Guy Bri (entry 17). The combine car was meant to enter the challenge separately from the locomotive (entry 10). Any votes already cast can be edited if need be.
  11. Please assign points to your favourites as described in the first post.
  12. Voting in the Wacky & Weird Locomotive Challenge is now open! I have merged the original 2nd and 3rd categories as they had very few entrants compared to the first category (locomotives). Please let me know if I have forgotten to include any entries in the list. Voting will conclude in one week from now (13 May 2013, roughly same time).
  13. I will clean this up when I have a minute, if Electricsteam doesn't beat me to it.
  14. Right, I see that the discussion has veered way off topic. Please either discuss the original topic or refrain from posting here. Posting on Eurobricks is not a right, but a privilege that can be moderated or even revoked if anyone's content doesn't follow the EB guidelines. If you have any issues with this, we can discuss them privately.
  15. Thanks Endgame, I may take you up on that offer!
  16. Well done Endgame! Before signing up for Quest 48, I had a read of your previous quests (especially the Voracious Vault) so I knew fairly well what I was signing up for. I liked Q36 and I wasn't disappointed by Q48 as a 'bigger and better' Progg tale. A few specific comments: I wasn't put down by the length of the quest. While I wouldn't want every quest to be so long, it's great to get to spend more time with some players and NPCs and get to know them. As others have mentioned, this could have become an unbearably long quest had it not been for your assiduity and your constant presence Endgame, so you must be commended for this above anything else. You have maintained a quick pace with at the very least one or two updates every day over the best part of 6 months and in my opinion it's a great achievement! The battles were terrific, I for one enjoy the complexity of your battle mechanics and I think it really worked well in keeping us on our toes. More than once when entering a new battle and looking at the stats of your foes I would think 'come on, this is impossible' yet we always made it -- I would say that you managed to strike the right balance where battles are challenging enough that levelling-up really feels deserved! On top of this, battles never became repetitive or boring because every one introduced something unexpected -- torture session, serial fights, the dreaded trump card and whatnot. The rewards were appropriate to the time spent and challenge. Loot was excellent, and considering that other players breezed through two or three quests while we were on Q48 I think that we deserved that little extra. There were many creative items/consumables and I certainly hope that some will show up again, ideally in the Marketplace. XP rewards were also generous but again in line with the battles and quest length. The storyline was very engaging and well written. You probably spent a lot of time fleshing out Progg history and creating every Progg type, and the result is a very rich and immersive experience. You certainly created some stand-out foes, and it's a shame that most of them are dead now! (and more than once ) You are a talented RPer and interacting with your NPCs has always been great fun. And I should also mention your different Progg designs which were creative and interesting builds -- I'd like to build at least one for myself in physical bricks eventually, if the parts exist in the right colours. I also liked how you allowed a lot of player character development by incorporating our RP into your story. I think that all of us have evolved over the course of this quest thanks to your help and input. Thanks also to all my fellow questers for an enjoyable 120-something pages of questing! Sylph, you did a great job as a party leader and strategist, all I had to do was to make sure that you had me fighting from the back row! Um... that's me done, if I can think of anything else I'll come back!
  17. I'm amazed to find out that the current brick design with thinner walls and tiny 'reinforcing stripes' (stripes which actually have more of a functional purpose than a structural one, but I can't think of a better descriptor) had already been thought of and patented as of 1958!
  18. "It's a beautiful weapon, but a Greatsword is much too large for a Rogue to wield. Perhaps Romulus will want to trade it for Combrys? Johon and Alexandre would be able to use it as well, I believe. As for the Writ, I could obviously use it, but so could anyone else. It's your decision!"
  19. "Sorry, I must have missed it!"
  20. All of the weapons looted during the Test Quest have ended up with now inactive players. I still have a dagger purchased from Sham Poo during that quest, and I believe that Nyx still has the amethyst she found back then.
  21. Galen spoke to he Toxiproggs. "I want to thank you for your help throughout the day, without your poisons we couldn't have made it. Will you come to Eubric with us? I have a feeling that your craft would be in high demand among the heroes there." Galen buys 12 Decaying Venoms for 550 gold (5069-550=4519 gold) He then walks to Adam the blacksmith. "Could you permanently envenom this weapon for me? You are certainly the most talented smith I have ever met." Galen rummages through his items and produces an old and unremarkable dagger. Purchased in the depths of Waldurk Forest from a dodgy half-orc merchant, Galen had little doubt that it had been stolen from some hapless adventurer. But it was all he could afford back then, and even now he thought that a dagger was a more fitting weapon for him that an unwieldy wrench. Galen has his Throwing Dagger (WP:4) imbued with Decaying Venom for 300 gold (4519-300=4219 gold) Finally, he examines the wares in Riht's Emporium. "You have some unique items that should prove useful, to me or others. I won't fail to tell the heroes in Eubric about your shop!" Galen buys 2 pairs of Stingy Gloves, 2 pairs of Overkill Gloves and an Emerald Hood for 1875 gold (4219-100-100-700-700-275=2344 gold) Seeing Sylph perusing the wares, he walks to the druid. "Don't forget that you still have a blacksmith writ to use with Adam before we leave Luosh. And a blue rose to keep or give away."
  22. "Thank you for your generosity, Ayla. Luosh is such a lovely place, I hope my next visit to be in happier circumstances!" Galen was over the moon. "That's terrific news, Beatrice! You will see, Eubric is a vibrant city, home to every race you can think of! You're right, it's certainly not as posh as Luosh. It's a port of call for refugees, smugglers, businessmen, diplomats and travellers from a hundred cities. It can be a dangerous place, but it's the heart of Heroica and our last best hope for peace. Let's get ready for the journey, then! I will need to buy some supplies before we go."
  23. Galen runs to Beatrice with a grin. "I'm so relieved to see that you haven't been hurt in my absence. I would lift you up in my arms but I'm afraid that I'm totally drained! There's no point in leaving for Heroica Hall before getting any rest and sustenance, and I guess I can stick around for a few days if you need any help caring for the wounded... or yourself! Um... do you have any plans now that you're free to choose your own destiny?"
  24. "Wait Elgar, I think we had a deal with the Toxiproggs. 12 venoms for the price of 11, if I remember correctly."
  25. I'm moving this to the Embassy, where discussion of the VIP program usually takes place.
