  2. I'm afraid that only staff-driven contests can involve prizes. I'm not aware of your previous offer of sponsoring prizes, but if you are interested we can discuss this further. However no prizes can be offered for the current challenge as it stands.
  3. An interesting -- and perhaps heavy of consequences -- press release has been published by the LEGO Group today: LEGO Group to build factory in China By 2017 a new LEGO factory in Jiaxing, China is expected to be fully operational and have approximately 2000 employees The LEGO Group has announced plans to build and operate its own LEGO factory in China. The factory will supply products for the growing Asian market. Construction is expected to begin in 2014. “It is our strategy to have production close to our core markets in order to secure short lead-time and world class service to our customers and consumers, and it has proven a successful strategy. Asia – including China – is a future core market for the LEGO Group and therefore I am excited to share our plans for the new factory. Having full control of the production process is essential to deliver products of a consistent high quality and safety and in harmony with our values” says Bali Padda, COO and adds: “In addition by placing a manufacturing site in the region we reduce our environmental impact as we will reduce the need for transporting products from Europe to be sold in Asia.” State-of the art factory The factory will be built in the city Jiaxing, right in the middle of the Yangtze River Delta and located approximately 100 km from Shanghai where the LEGO Group is planning to locate a regional distribution centre for Asia. “The new factory will be built and run with the same technology, automation and standards for employee safety and product quality as our LEGO factories in Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic and Mexico, and it will have a distinct LEGO look and feel.” says Michael McNulty, Senior Vice President, Procurement. Producing for Asia only The LEGO Group currently does not operate its own manufacturing facility in China, but with the new production site including moulding, decoration and packaging facilities it will have a supply base for future growth in Asia. LEGO Group sales in the region have grown by more than 50 percent annually in recent years. “Based on our current expectations for growth in Asia, the factory should be able to supply approximately 70-80 percent of all the LEGO products sold in the region in 2017. All products made in the new factory will be sold in Asia,” says Michael McNulty. Location with focus on employees The location of the new factory, Jiaxing, has a population of 5 million and it has been chosen for several reasons, says Michael McNulty: “It is close to our regional distribution centre and the city has all the facilities and infrastructure needed. But in addition, we believe the location is perfect in regards to securing the best environment for future LEGO employees. The city is the strongest possible match with core LEGO values, and the plans for a sustainable city development is well organized” Jiaxing has been named “National Health City”, “National Model City for Greening”, “National Garden City”. 4. It would appear that Li'l TrumpetKing has given up on his life and is attempting to use this opportunity to reunite the scum teams. I would put my vote on him but there's another comment I feel deserves some attention. I'm not sure what the intention behind your comment was. Perhaps you did want to sow the seed of doubt so that scum would reconsider contacting TrumpetKing. But to me, you sound a lot like a worried scum. TrumpetKing is not on your team, so you're wondering if it's a trap or if you should contact him. By the same token, you're voicing your doubts so that the other scum team is aware of the risks too. Tell me I'm wrong? Vote: Li'l Nightshroud (Nightshroud99)
  5. Despite the terror of free fall, Galen pauses between hits to reflect on the heroes' predicament. "Great. Just great. If I ever survive the fall, remind me to strangle that girl. What business did she have waking the rage inside this monster? And what was Dini thinking, bringing her here? Stupid mages. Stupid stupid stupid."
  6. "Now we're getting somewhere! Keep at it, we can take out Eidolon's tail now and cut out his supply of ether!"
  7. I find myself agreeing with Li'l Pandora's arguments against Li'l TrumpetKing. I do look forward to further explanations from him. As for the other accusations (Li'l Zepher, Li'l Scouty and Li'l Capt Redblade), in my opinion there's not a lot of (subjective) evidence to support them so far. I would say that their explanations have been satisfactory given the circumstances. I am aligned with the town.
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks, Lamboguy59. I will move your request to the Technic forum as that is where you are more likely to find help.
  9. I wasn't saying that an unexpected move could be good for town, but for scum. Since we don't expect them so step into the spotlight, that's perhaps precisely what they will do. Yes, I was thinking out loud. And I'm still thinking. How does this role work? Is it the equivalent of a second vote for Cornelius when there's a tie? Say he's scum and one of his team is leading by one vote, could he by himself provoke a tie then break it by voting again for the other player? It's perhaps not a very important role early in the game, but as player numbers dwindle it can become important. Therefore sooner or later Cornelius will have to be cleared. So should this role be given to a trusted townie who could get killed when scum decide they need the advantage, or to a scum who really can't use it right away but may want to avoid the spotlight? The decision has been made, so let's see if Mayor Li'l Cornelius will have a chance to break a tie. You can call me Maverick. Well scum can't always be predictable, can they?
  10. "Gah. We should have brought more consumables. Let's get rid of the last Gauntlet before more Proggs join in the melee."
  11. I don't get the feeling that anyone chosen as Mayor today would become a trusted townie or leader by that fact alone, especially in the absence of solid investigative abilities. An unexpected move could be a good move. We can prove that the Mayor is town by successfully recruiting them, but we can't prove he's scum. I'm not saying that Li'l Cornelius is suspect for being so willing to become Mayor again, but it doesn't paint him as a townie either. Perhaps what I'm leading to is that a scummy little friend should be elected Mayor, so that sooner or later he is thoroughly scrutinized. Or at least forced to behave. For instance they might think twice about using a night action while being Mayor. Let's put them in the Danger Zone instead! (see what I did there? ) The only issue with this is, why not lynch them instead? I suppose we can choose a Mayor, then think about the lynch. If we decide that the Mayor is the best lynch candidate too, then so be it. I guess I'm just not sold on the usefulness of a Mayor, and that we should use this opportunity in a perhaps more productive way.
  12. I agree that the process is important, and that the discussion could lead to important clues. What I failed to understand is why you thought that nominating someone was mean because it would lead to that person being killed. I'm starting to see that it is a possibility, though I'm still not convinced about the importance of the Mayor role in itself.
  13. "That's more like it. But do heal yourself and Romulus with the utmost haste, you both look like you are going to fall down any second now."
  14. We can, but there's another option for you: instead of creating a new post, you can edit your previous one to add whatever updates you have.
  15. Interesting, but likely coincidental, right? Mayor is not a really important role until perhaps the end of the game. Were there any ties to break in EB1? But if Mayors are for any reason more subject to scrutiny (investigations) than other players, then perhaps it's not a role that scum would be interested in holding early on.
  16. Woah, that's a nasty mess. I wonder what Tom Cruise would say if his megablocks exploded. I'm sure he would just keep smiling and look cool. That's cute. So is this Mayor role such a dangerous position?
  17. "Uh guys... Please make sure you heal me this time okay?"
  18. I always thought that throwing weapons can only be used for ranged combat, which is why I borrowed a sword from Cronk in Quest #29 when I only had a throwing dagger to my name.
  19. You must be a busy man. My advice is, make the time to clearly state your needs and check your spelling. I found your request a bit confusing, and perhaps others are thinking the same. You would probably get more replies with a clearer post. What's the rush?
  20. There's always hope! Maybe you should promote a Louvre Pyramid project on Cuusoo!
  21. "Argh, progress is so slow. By the time we get rid of Eidolon's appendages he will have grown new ones."
  22. Thanks! Great photo, the tension is palpable!
  23. Could you tell us more about the context of this photo? What is this about?
