Some things just won't change!
-
"I still have my mind and my memories, even though sometimes I wish I didn't. I'm actually starting to get used to this. Back in the Cultist caves, it also happened. I fell down and Cronk revived me. Ever since... ever since I took to the road it's as if Lady Luck had forsaken me. You know her, you're a rogue too, even though a strange one. You must have heard the blessing... May Lady Luck stand between you and harm in all the empty places where you must walk. Well, she doesn't anymore." Galen made a sign of resignation and gestured at the dead soldiers. "But I'm alive, so I shouldn't complain too much. Worse things can still happen."
-
Galen rose to his feet painfully and looked around him in disgust. He didn't know what hurt the most, the humiliation of falling in combat or the feeling that he was only a burden to his party. "I suggest we try to bury these men before we leave, they were only innocent soldiers misled by Cultist lies." And without waiting for an answer, he started gathering rocks to cover the bodies.

The odds of a KO were 1 in 12, so I figured I would chance it. Considering my luck in this battle (1 Miss and 4 Damage) I probably shouldn't have.
-
OOC: I appreciate the offer, but at this point in the battle I wouldn't make a difference, and it's more reasonable to save the Phoenix Essence for later on when we might need it more. Who knows if we will have a chance to buy any before the end of the quest. Hurry up and end this battle so we can move on!

There was an interesting post by Superkalle a while back about how clutch has a tendency to increase over time. It could be that your bricks are old enough to be affected by this. In the same thread you will find out that there are ways to decrease the clutch power, but I'm not sure I would recommend sticking your plates in an oven without lots of testing!
-
OOC: Random number generator my megablocks! Don't go wasting potions on me though.

Galen found the shade's words strangely appropriate, as if he could read his inner turmoil. Had he become so transparent? Or perhaps De'kra was more than a simple rogue. He belonged to a species beyond Galen's comprehension, and who knew what they were capable of. "I would feel much better if I knew for sure that our efforts will be rewarded. As it stands it's by no means certain that Emperor Rolando will honour his word and pay us for our troubles. Especially after fighting his own troops."
-
"Worry not my friend, what could go wrong? I fully trust Nerwen's talents, she hasn't ever failed us."
-
As he fell down on his knees again, blood gushing from his wounds, Galen felt tired and miserable. Here he was, spilling his blood on foreign soil for Emperors who wouldn't remember his name once he left Dastan. If he ever left Dastan. He only had returned to Dastan because needed the money. He had grim memories of his past travels here, stealing food from street vendors and sleeping with the homeless. Truth to be told, he was homeless himself. He had followed the slave traders caravans to Dastan on yet another wild-goose chase... What were the odds of finding one woman who could be anywhere on this world by now, two years after her disappearance? Lady Luck hadn't helped him much on his quests so far. Not only he was nowhere closer to real clues of Brianna's whereabouts, but he hadn't managed to raise money and enrol helpers either. Who would want to help a pennyless rogue fighting with a borrowed sword? The soothing magic of Nerwen pulled his thoughts back to the present. After he fulfilled his duty to the Emperor, he would leave Heroica. Far from the riches and reputation he thought he would gain by joining the shining hope of Eubric, he only reaped pain and misery. Brianna couldn't wait forever, and he had spent far too much time toiling for others' benefit. Slowly pulling himself to his feet, Galen attacks the Emeraldo Lancer from the front row.

His wounds largely healed, Galen attacks the Emeraldo Swordsman from the front row.

Have a great one Sinner! Enjoy being fed for a change!

You can see some LEGOLAND exclusive (Duplo) printed bricks here, but I don't know if any have been printed for a LEGOLAND opening. It would be rather likely I think? I'm sure a "LEGO Historian", if he's around, would be able to answer your question.

Thank you for your contributions, Gary. You can certainly embed pictures hosted on Flickr (or anywhere else for that matter) if you wish to do so. Have a look at this topic for instructions.

"Oh, I'm sorry Nerwen, I didn't hear you in the general confusion. Thanks for the offer, and right now it looks like I might need some help again but it would be best if you used your powers on Sarick or De'kra, and I'll just drink a potion."
-
OOC: Thanks JimB! In which case... Galen swings the Sword of Bashing at Emeraldo Soldier A from the front row.
-
Galen stumbles, wincing in pain. "Argh... That hurt! Stupid soldier, I'm going to mug you dry!" Galen swings the Sword of Bashing at Emeraldo Soldier A from the back row. OOC: Shouldn't damage have been halved since I was in the back row?
-
That's interesting! Was it something you came up with, or were there any such 'microfigs' in official sets at the time? I don't remember seeing any, but my knowledge of pre-minifig sets is limited.
-
I have edited the title to reflect that the Monster Fighters rumour is not based on accurate information.
-
"Hmpf... Did I mention that I was of no use in close combat?" Galen throws his dagger at Emeraldo Soldier A from the back row.

Galen dropped the stash of weapons he was carrying and readied himself for battle. "Ha! This is certainly the work of Russel. I wish we could have spotted this traitor earlier. There goes our reward." "I doubt that I could reach the Emperor and come back before the battle here is over. But at least I can inform him that Russel is the traitor, not us. And try to dissuade him from sending more troops to stop us." Failing that, I will attack Emeraldo Soldier A from the front row.
