  2. "Don't worry James, we're trying to stop this sort of people from interfering with peace and fair trade in this kingdom. Your help is much appreciated and you might be relieved to know that this Dmitri is no longer a threat. However as you can tell he was a member of a shady group, and any clue to their whereabouts will bring us closer to putting an end to their activities. Is there anything else you can tell us about those documents?"
  3. If Polly is indeed the second protector, I find her claim suspicious. Can such a small group benefit from the services of two loyal protectors? I don't have the answer, but perhaps Polly could explain her actions so far in the game -- without giving out specific information to the scum.
  4. Wait what? No more Scary Global Count mAdmin? Won't somebody please think of the children? Who will terrify them now?
  5. Oh, we are stranded indeed. As far as I know, Shanalon investigated Meahon on night 2 and failed. This only fuelled her suspicions of course. So as you can see, there is no trusted loyal she could have shared vital information with. Oh some us us had bits and pieces, but I'm afraid the vital stuff is gone with Shanalon. I'd love to be proven wrong, but I will treat with suspicion anyone who claims to be Shanalon's trusted sidekick. Yes, I think the investigator is still out there. But I'm afraid they might have no one to talk to. On the other hand if they find scum I trust they will speak up just like Shalonda Shanalon did. This is very interesting. Any clue as to why Shanalon came to that conclusion? Good for him. Now, where's my damn wiener? <shakes fist at the sky>
  6. "Please serve an ale to my friend James. Here are 5 gold. As for myself, the Roorum family has vowed abstinence generations ago, and we all still abide by that wise decision."
  7. I'm quite happy with the pace. I have started sketching plans for a quest I would like to host someday which would take place in Duplovia -- where (old) buildings would of course be made of Duplo.
  8. "What would you like to drink... um, not sure I caught your name sir?"
  9. "Of course, your drink is on me. Please go on." Galen waves a hand at the party, begging them so listen carefully. He can't help but wonder why documents from Ennon would find their way to the distant realm of Dastan.
  10. This was certainly a disappointing night. The scummiest of townies is gone, and with him the ability to protect the Prince and King. While I regret the loss of Meahon, I still don't understand his defensive attitude. Despite his claims to the contrary, had he been more forthcoming since the start of this ordeal he would have been alive today. Then we also lost Shanalon who was doing her best to orchestrate the town with the limited collaboration she was offered. I can only hope that whatever information she had was passed on to a trusted collaborator before her death. This also goes for the result of last night's investigation, which I hope was communicated to someone else. What do we learn from this mess? The town protector is dead, and the allegiance of the other protector known to Shanalon is unknown. It's not unthinkable for the town to have two protectors, given the nature of our mission. But on the other hand, the ways of god respect a balance that I feel could be skewed by the presence of two loyal protectors. I think there are more clues to be gathered with the benefit of hindsight, and despite the string of deaths we're still pretty much in the game.
  11. "Well let me show you. My orc business partner over there has all the documents." Galen leads the local to Cronk.
  12. Galen introduces himself to the barman. "I am Foog Roorum, son of Doog, and I travel with this group of businessmen from Charis. We have some documents here, trade agreements, that we would like translated in common language. Would you happen to know anyone in Dragonclaw who could help us with this task?"
  13. "Miguel, I have 22 gold burning my pocket and you have the Phoenix Essence I need. We're a match made in heaven! Does it sound like a fair deal to you? And while we're chatting, what's wrong with you mate? You look so nervous, are you getting married today or what?"
  14. Meahon, I hope you realise that your obsessing about Bess is misplaced. Ruben's vote for Bess on day 1 put her in the lead 4-3. No scum would have done that to one of their own, right?
  15. I'm trying hard to follow but I actually didn't hear anything from you that would explain why you don't trust Shanalon. So until I understand that part, the rest of your arguing is only striking me as an attempt to avoid answering the real question.
  16. Meahon, this is enough. You seem to trust a possible protector that did nothing to prove his loyalty over Shanalon who offered accurate investigation results. If you were actually the one protecting Ruben on the first night, then say so and we'll be making some progress. Your determination to hinder any form of town coordination will cost you dearly. Perhaps a little prodding is required to convince this alleged protector to come out of the ship's woodwork? Vote: Meahon Doughal (MetroiD)
  17. Meahon, I'm not sure what game you're playing. Shanalon gave us the head of a scum. What more proof do you need to trust her? What do you think you're gaining by not disclosing valuable information? Are you playing with the team, or pursuing your own interests? Don't you see that only by putting together all of the claims we can figure out who is lying here? If you're town, you're certainly not helping yourself by concealing the identity of a potential liar. And if that person is really our protector, you're not helping them with your suspicious behaviour.
  18. "If you like it take it, it's yours. Maybe I will need to borrow some change from you if I fancy something in this market." Galen hands the axe to Xander then turns to Miguel. Between clenched teeth he whispers: "You sound awfully nervous to sell your overpriced mixtures. Stolen merchandise I'm sure? Let's see how much you can shave off your prices if we don't call the town guards."
  19. Gander produced a massive weapon from his pouch. "Xander, we have found this Battle Ax back in the caves, and it's only suitable to barbarians. It's not as powerful as your current weapon, but do let me know if you're interested. Otherwise I guess I'll just sell it in the market."
  20. It's really bad news that our Queen is dead. But we're still even with the assassins and we are one big step ahead of yesterday: now people on our side are starting to trust each other and consolidate their knowledge. I have nothing to add to the discussion right now, I seem to have lost my wiener and I'm a bit lost without it. But I'm sure that something will come up soon.
  21. Galen greets the rest of the party. "It's good to see you all again! I wouldn't have made it were it not for Cronk! We met the Head cultist, a man named Gottfreid, and a follower named Dmitri Finegold. We had no choice but to kill them both, but we did manage to bring back some information. They are indeed planning to raise the Chimera, we heard them scheming." Galen's continued in a hushed voice. "But they already raised villagers from the dead. Their bodies inhabited by other souls! What is their purpose, and where the souls come from I do not know. Vipera, ambassador for the Dragons, appeared to us. She said that there are many ways to raise the Chimera, and that she is growing stronger. We're not out of danger yet." Galen turns to Cronk. "Am I forgetting anything, friend?"
  22. It would be foolish not to test Shanalon's claim. It will hopefully let us start collaborating in a more useful way. Vote: Ruben Castleton (Rick)
  23. I see. It's a twisted mechanism, and I suppose that if you wanted to mislead us you would have come up with something simpler -- I think? You have little to gain from making us lynch the wrong person, unless you happen to know that Ruben is actually from the Royal Family. It's likely that the scum have a way to investigate alignments. But even then, unless the scum were sure to nail the other two Royals quickly, I don't think you would sacrifice yourself this way. Or could lynching be the only way for scum to achieve their objective? I guess it's too early to tell.
  24. This is valuable information, and I am glad that it has been brought forward. Though I am a bit confused by the delivery... Basically you're saying that there's an investigator among us, and are privy to his or her results? Do you choose the investigation target, or they do? Is the investigator also aware of the result of their investigation? Could be. But how can you confirm Shanalon's story? Are you also in contact with this investigator? Missing a word right there: "and you are privy to his or her results"
  25. Before I go and take a nap, I guess I should unvote Bess. I tried very hard but I couldn't convince myself that she is scum. Her defense, both public and private, seems sincere and adequate considering the 'quality' of the evidence against her. But mostly no one seems to care if she is lynched. Had she been scum perhaps there would have been more action after I switched my vote. If I am wrong and Bess is really an assassin, then kudos to her team for playing it cool. Unvote: Bess Bulton (Bob) Vote: Charles Pleasance (CallMePieOrDie)
