I know, I know, I should have tried harder! But my credibility was low and your voting pattern was rubbish! And you were also doomed because it was a janitor day and the scum didn't have to walk on tiptoes. At least you didn't get my vote! Yeah, so that we can get up before 5 in the morning? I wanted that stupid wand! And it was all for nothing... except some leverage to be included the trusted circle.

Thank you so much Hinckley for taking the time and write such detailed reviews of our play! A host's work is never done, even when the Mafia is over! I do regret not using the wand. For a big chunk of the game I felt like I was giving away information without getting anything back, so I guess I started playing for myself. I will try to be a better person in the future! One other regret is not having pushed harder to save Flitwick. From his PMs, I had the feeling that he wasn't scum. And he was also the first person Badboytje cast suspicion on in our private conversation, back on Day 1. I shared this info, but I should have trusted my instincts more and bring it up in the thread. But this was the day after the Kevin Costner mess, so I guess I was just happy not to be the one to be lynched. Rufus' investigation was so ill-timed from where I stood! Dragonator was the only one I trusted back then, I could have talked with him and he would have told me that Rufus was on our side and I wouldn't have had to come up with that lame play! But Draggy was busy being kidnapped so I only had myself to talk to! Had Rufus not been so open minded and rational, I was history! I should also add that I owe one to Cornelius. Right from the start on Day 1, he was the one messaging me and explaining what WhiteFang was hinting at in the thread but I was too thick to understand. He made me take back my vote by being pro-active, well done! No wonder he fought so hard for his own life! Oh, and Gaga was supposed to be the traitor in my story, if it makes you feel a little better!

I'm going back to a discussion that was interrupted by the visit of Ralph's house. Perhaps before we lock anyone, we should ask both presumed vigilantes to explain their motives for choosing the targets they chose. I think their answers could help us decide who is a commie. - Captain Garrison claimed killing Ted Harding, Alan Cain and Maxwell Touns. - Ralph Jenkins claimed killing (or attempting to kill) Dolores Jefferson, Matt Liebenston, Julie Parker and Frankie Daly. So why them, gentlemen?

This is the correct pronounciation as far as I know I kind of realised it while thinking about the clever subtitle to the conclusion of The Forest.

Well we've been told before that the lighthouse was empty, so I doubt we'll find anything of interest here. When we're finished, I suggest we investigate Chief Phelps' residence where we're bound to find a few skeletons.

I've moved around quite a bit, but yes I'm living in Edinburgh right now! Living so far from any official Lego store is maddening at times, but it does help saving the marriage! Anyway, I look forward to your Pirate reviews! Although I don't actively collect them Pirates is one of my favourite themes. It may have been mentioned already, but if you need any tips preparing your reviews, you may consider joining EB's Reviewers Academy. See you around!

Pump up the volume!

I am The Foog - My new nickname, introduced by Hinckley during his memorable Forest Mafia! Perhaps because it spells Goof in reverse?
-
Oh look, a new member from sunny Edinburgh! Welcome to EB Keybobs, I'm sure you will find the Pirates community to be very friendly. Enjoy!

So Rufus or Scouts would have survived! That was my dilemma on night 8. I certainly expected that if the wand failed I would either kill myself or another Villager. I was prepared to use it on Arjay on night 10 if we couldn't lynch him, but it wouldn't have worked anyway.
-
Ooh I was soo tempted! Hinckley would have been appalled! Ha, paranoid up to the very last minute! I'm glad I wasn't the only one! (I was away from my computer for about 24 hours which meant that I missed the start of the vote on Day 10. The Masons minus Arjay were informed, but obviously some doubts remained! ) Naah, you were a star! You had everything figured out, like only a scum could!
-
This was my worst nightmare during perhaps 50% of the game! Oh! I am the Foog! Well I look forward to the critique Hinckley, because so many times I was pretty sure I had fooged up!
-
Ha! You knew everything all along! And I thought I was being clever for telling you right from the start I was your bodyguard, just in case you would happen to be scum! So Badboy was a watcher too? Inherited from someone else?
-
So who converted Shadows, and when? Why weren't there any other conversions? Was Fangy really blocked? His investigation failed because it was impossible to investigate Badboytje, and his attempt to protect Dragonator could have failed because Draggy was in "another dimension" while being protected by Eskallon? Oh wait, something similar happened the previous night and Eskallon didn't block you from giving an orb to WhiteFang. I'm sure Hinckley had a hell of a time figuring out how to resolve the night actions!

I would have actually, but for the fact that by that time in the game I didn't feel I was really trusted by anybody, and that I also thought it would be an easy win for the Village -- especially with the wand coming back. How far from the truth! And to think that if I had chosen Demon Legion, Daxia probably wouldn't have cursed Walter's wand! It makes me feel a little bit better!
-
I'm so sorry! I could have saved your life had I believed Rufus and trusted the wand but even then the odds weren't very good!
-
Thank you for seeing me for what I really was! To my defense, I shall say that I would never have revealed that I was bodyguard were it not for my 'solid' night result! Oh. Way to mess with me again Hinck! I know, you asked me to kill Scouts and Arjay and both times I didn't. Since you wouldn't share the whole picture with me, and I didn't have the information I would later have as a Mason to justify the kill, I just kept going over all the ways that you could fool me into killing an innocent! Yup, we could have saved the lives of iamded and Ricecracker. On the other hand, between my cursed wand and Arjay's masonic protections, the chances of a successful kill were slim.

There you have it. What more can I say? I'm not an experienced mafia player, but I found this game to be thoroughly exhilarating in every way. The messed up night actions that still (mostly) made perfect sense in the end, the riddles that allowed me to help the town beyond my limited night action, the beautiful storytelling, the stunning photography, everything made this a memorable game for me. I do have a few questions: - How come that I saw Rufus investigate Badboytje? I wasn't made aware of the first investigation on Badboytje, and this made me mistrust Rufus almost until the end. That, and Dragonator's orb -- which brings me to my next question: - Was I the only one asked by Daxia to choose between Village and Demon Legion? I figured that the person inheriting Dragonator's orb (Rufus) would also be asked the question, which only added to my mistrust. - What would have happened if I had used the cursed Vigilante wand and failed? I never did, mainly because of fear of the consequences. But if I had, Rufus might have been my first target! - Could the Demon Legion also attempt to solve the riddles, or was it just a Village contest? - Was Prof Flitwick scum after all? I never believed it, so I'm curious. Now I know! Lastly, I have to thank the other players for making this such a great game. Scum play was especially top notch!

Assuming that we successfully open the lighthouse door, I would like to climb to the top of the stairs and search the area.
-
You did, you mentioned Cara among other people. But casting suspicions only on Villagers wouldn't look good in your resume down the road, would it?

Ahem... sorry to have fallen asleep, I don't cope well with sleepless nights! The infiltration of the Temple by Kaley explains most of the unfortunate events of the last few days. It's at least obvious that someone must have infiltrated the Temple. I had doubts in the past about Cameron, but we had very enlightening conversations during the last few days that have helped clearing any misgivings between us. While in theory it's not totally impossible for Portia to be a Demon Legion, her recruitment to the Masons is much too recent for it to explain the terrible turn of events that began on Day 7. And I will be keeping an eye on Marcus who has maintained a low profile throughout this ordeal. However, first things first. I do hope that with Kaley's conviction we will have rid Spring Haven of the last of the Demon Legion. Vote: Kaley Cat (Lord Arjay).
-
This was the most eventful night ever! I am alarmed at the growing number of night kills despite our having lynched so many Demon Legion already. This village is full of mysteries, and increasingly empty of furry friends...
-
Oh I almost missed this! Happy birthday Rufus, I wish you a great shopping trip lucky guy!

The Forest Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread
Fugazi replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I don't like the sound of this... -
Or maybe it's the results of the night actions that we're misinterpreting. Either way, I agree that we should move on. Your place or mine? I doubt it!
