Wow! Never guessed Nom Carver actually is a secret sith apprentice! If that isn't an argument to let the Empire win in a tie!

Also, that explains his universl knowledge. So let me ask him: if right here I'm on Central European Time (with daylight saving), that means I can enter untill 12 a.m. (noon) local time, right? Maybe I'll still have time to slap some mini creation together...

Posted (edited)

Sure, as long as it's still 17 th somewere else on the world (and helps the imps win of course), regarding to being a sith, I am, but not the kind willing to change the course of the galaxy so no worries on using my powers against you guys.

RULES UPDATE: in case of a tie on a sector in which one side overwhelms the other in numbers while the other stands up with the best creation of this place, the judges will decide wich side will win acording to their fair judgement, for example:

  • Empire on sector A: 5 entries (1+1+1+1+1=5)
  • Rebelion on sector A: 2 entries (4+1=5) (this faction had the most outstanding creation on this sector)

Judges have decided that the rebelion has won.

What I mean is that numbers will do little at the moment of judging if there is a tie in points, you get it?

So it's friday everywhere in the world, except in NZ where it's already Saturday... So if you still have to post your entry, well it's too late :sadnew:

Thanks to all the participants, it was a really nice contest! Thanks a lot to Nom Carver for his hard work on it! :classic:

Yes, thanks to Nom Carver for the guidance (both here as on the other place) and assistance, and everyone on the SoNE team for again creating an interesting episode. And thanks to the participants, that came in great amounts. It was a pleasure to see SoNE in full action and attention! We got a total of 32 entries, an absolute record in the history of SoNE (compared to 28 for Ep. I, 16 for Ep. II (that's only half of what we have now!) and 20 for Ep. IV). Great to see everybody join in the fun. Also, the quality of the builds seems great.

so thanks to everyone for giving me an excellent time! I really enjoyed the tactics, and WIP feedback (well at least from my fellow Imperials). Now that the best may win! :vader:

I really like all entries in this episode!

It's really funny to see everybody having an other technique for the lava and other colors, seeing everybody with different rock colors, and seeing no-one with the same prison cell technique!

Thanks to all of you for participating, I am glad you all enjoyed this episode and had fun, the judging will start right away and results will be ready within a week if there are inconvenients, judges will be absolutely arbitrary and please be patient with them/us, its just a game.

Thanks again and may the force be with you all :yoda::vader: .

The outcome of the battle goes as follows:

At the gates, TWP led a diversionary attack over the east wing entrance calling upon BEAVeRs TIE squadron attention who proceded to deliver a deadly payload upon the enemies terminating multiple targets at once, however, this allowed many other troops to infiltrate the base through alternate entrances since most of the imperial troops headed towards the gate due to the diversion generated giving the alliance victory over sector A.

Later, LegoFjotten escorted by Wedge09, Fleet, MKjoshA, faced a lot of enemy resistance but managed to reach the communications station while Lobot, VK-318 and TaseTJ fought them back and retrieved the comms room but they where unable to avoid the sabotage of all devices granting victory to the alliance in sector C.

Meanwhile, Rook, Dapper, philbrick, Donnie Bricko and Kaitan, infiltrated as deep as the detention blocks and released most of the prisoners, however, MstrOfPppts and Mr Man stood by their own against the tides of enemies and managed to terminate most of the present intruders turning the situation in favor of the empire and granting victory to them in sector B.

Taking advantage of the confusion among the imperial ranks and against all odds, with no other purpose than dealing a deadly blow against his enemies, Ninja Nin and rogueang faced by them selves against Dragonfire, Lord Tyrus, Lucas Laughing, Lego Spy and Nom Carver, all of them were nearly killed by a sudden explosion caused by a lava leak into the weapons storage that forced the rebels to withdraw the location leaving the heavily deteriorated room in their hands, scoring a victory for the empire at sector E.

Finally, at the landing platform, narbilu, Manx, and Bkrosell rallied the surviving prisoners to a nerby vehicle, but Artizan,goatman461, Legofin and Masked builder, however, intercepted the fleeing rebels in time, untill Bob De Quatre arrived providing aerial support and suppresive fire to clear the LZ from the enemies while deploying fresh troops into the battlefield and retrieving the rest of the rebel taskforce and prisoners barely completing their mission and there for claiming victory on sector D for the alliance.

Due to the effective evacuation of enough prisoners and troops (victory on 3 of 5 sectors) the rebelion has won this episode, who knows what secrets will those prisoners reveal, secrets that will certainly turn the tide of the war in favour of the rebelion (which hasnt been so bad after all)

Congratulations to you all, specially to the rebels, I will try to get your XP awarded in time, and thanx for playing, I hope you enjoied this game as much as I did, special thanks to Brickdoctor, Masked builder, Bob De Quatre and Lobot for their help on the development of this challenge.

Here are the overall scores and highlighted builds:

Sector A: (E=1, R=4)

Sector B: (E=5, R=5) Tie break (empire wins)

Sector C: (E=3, R=7)

Sector D: (E=4, R=7)

Sector E: (E=5, R=5) Tie break (empire wins)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! :vader: (Sorry, got a bit carried away! ) We lost!, but well done to the Rebels, they built VERY well! :classic: Thanks for the episode guys, it was great fun. Is the number next to our name the amount of XP gained?

Congrats to the Rebellion. And thank you Nom for running the episode and especially for breaking the bad news in such an entertaining way.

Also, doesn't the tie go to the Alliance in Sector E since they had the best builds in the sector?

This makes me only feel worse. Whoever I hit... it didn't change anything. It's just another unimportant casualty in this atrocious war. If only those Rebels would stop fighting...

But man, have they put up quite a fight! Now it weren't even there numbers (because finally, each faction has about the same amount of builds! Way to go!). If we weren't that well trained, surely two victories would've been unattainable. It was very close in a lot of places. We only barely made it in those two sectors. But we barely lost in my sector as well. What's one point? But what would I expect, with such a stupid action in my case...

I'm glad Bob's entry didn't got disqualified due to my silliness (still ashamed...), and that it has been proven once again that LDD doesn't neceserally generates bad builds! This was a great episode with lots of variety, and the strategic aspect was quite fun. I hope future challenges will prove to be at least the same challenge (sorry to put pressure on the organizors, but you know what to do if you think you're not with enough people to support it...), and just as close in the end.

I won't complain. That tag wasn't my favorite in the first place

Hope the next one will be as interesting as this one was ...

It's 99% ready, and we're planning for a start date of around the 10th May. It's going to be different from anything that we've done previously.....

Well done to everyone who took part, I wasn't expecting it to be such a close run race! In my head it was a Imperial win for sure, even before any entries were posted :classic: . And of course, congrats must go to Nom Carver and the other SoNE guys for coming up with a great episode that got us all talking to each other :classic:

I shall recruit a friend of mine for the Empire, as I'll be spending the summer with him anyways (and thus using his Legos for any builds).

The Empire shall strike back! :sadnew:

Is our XP next to our names?

Yes, thats the XP you gained, as you can see, some builders got the 2X bonus as promised.

I am glad all of you liked this episode, there will be a variety of challenges ahead but if you want to see a similar challenge in the future I could ask the rest of the staff but it will be quite a bit of time later to avoid being too repetitive, they also have about three episodes planned out already and they will certainly be a ton of fun.

Oh, there will be more than six episodes? Great! It would be kind of depressing for us Imps to get whipped 4 out of 6 times. Well, soldiers, back to the drawing board. Forward the freebuilds! For the Empire!

Wow. Just wow. Thank you so much Nom Carver for such a great contest. I hope the Imperials haven't lost all hope. I still like a good challenge in my contests

Not to worry, MKJoshA. In the 158 years of its history, the Empire, whether as the Galactic Empire, the Imperial Remnant, or the Fel Empire, never surrendered to the Alliance or any of its successors, allies, or enemies. True, we made peace, but it was on our terms. True, we were three times nearly destroyed; first by the New Republic, then the Yuuzhan Vong, then by the One Sith, but we never surrendered and we're still going strong.:wink: Bring it on!

I love that you know your Star Wars history, even if it is future history relative to where we are at in the timeline  .
