Q's & A's on instructions, tutorials, scans, book reviews
KimT replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Moving this to the Instructions Q's and A's. I never understood how they manage to let mistakes like these slip through quality control You kinda expect when buying an expensive set that the manual is right. Nobody wants to buy a beautiful car that doesn't have an engine, do they? -

I'll move this to the instructions Q's and A's Thanks for sharing -
Wauw. Nice find. I've deeplinked one of the pics and added it to the first post. In the future, when you guys find something awesome on brickshelf (or similar), please write "Brickshelf find" in the subtitle of the topic. I wish I had the imagination to do a custom Grievous like that.
-
Yep, even to the US
-
Yes they are
-
Nope. So far this has been released only as a promotional set for special occasions. Check Bricklink and eBay often from now on

I remember getting more than one of this set. I found it on sale (with the other 3 sets) and bought what I could find. Why? Simply because it was cheap, gave a lot of accesories and a black dragon. All 4 sets are great additions to ones Castle army and should be bought when found. As for the lack of fitting in to the theme, yes it is a bit off - but I've never cared for KK and as an army supply set, this one is awesome. Thanks for the review WhiteFang. I've added it to the index.

If you're going ballistic over the new fleshies in the Star Wars theme, then remember that they're meant to resemble the Clone Wars Animation Movie. They'll change back into regular fleshies with the ordinary SW sets. License is flesh, why? Because we, the fans, demanded so. (Mainly HP fans) Simple as that.

There's a pinned topics for these kind of questions. I'll move this there. Look at the pinned topics at the top of the page. I'd suggest eBay or Bricklink for getting this set.

That question would be great in the review topic. But not here...this is merely for signing up to the raffle.

I never noticed that. But I guess you're right. Mine looks like yours: Thanks for sharing -
If you'd read the thread, you'll see that is has already been requested and posted

Race On! Race started behind safety car. Unfortunately Bourdais' racer didn't start - what a shame for STR. At least he's still in the race. Hamilton just passed Raikonnen. (who's resigned with Ferrari until 2010). Vettel is doing good and leads by 7 secs for now. The rain just keeps pouring - extreme wets for all. This might get very interesting, 41 laps to go and yellow flag. Fisichella is out... 35 laps to go Raikonnen 12 Hamilton 7

The 6968 was to my knowledge a Star Wars mini set that never made it to production. They're only allowed a certain number of sets each year and this one got "cut". I've dug this one up on my own pc yesterday and I've actually uploaded it to my BS instructions folder an hour ago or so. I'll edit your post to have the set number for future reference. -
That surely was one strange qualify. I'm sure the race will be fantastic. No doubt the STR and RBR will drop, but that was truly well done. Unfortunately the insane penalty after last race will have severe effects on McLaren and Hamilton. Thanks stewards and FIA for kissing the red teams behinds No matter Go Renault Go GO GO GO!

No limits.

Is this the thread for discussing where sets are available or not? -NO Is this thread dedicated to discuss rumors and upcoming sets? -YES What's so hard to understand? There's a pinned topic for discussing the availability of sets, why discuss it here? And DON'T answer, just stay on topic.

Today I've been reading up on our forums history and I feel over a few topics on instructions. There's a guy on Brickshelf, who's kindly put instructions for his creations in his folder. Also a lot of members have asked for instructions for promotionals and so on. This topic is intended for posting found or asked for instructions. When you've posted a link or a full instruction, I'll add it to the 1st post. Our Member CopMike got hold of one of the much anticipated new Star Wars Promotionals. Look here to see and discuss it.

Thanks for the review CopMike. And don't worry about getting this into the Review Index. I'll fix it later so that it fits Oh wait, you were referring to the Academy No matter, it still goes into the Index I wish I had your connections for getting one of these
-
Nice work. Are you sure the tri-bike doesn't count as more than one piece? Good luck in the contest
-
There's plenty of reviews in the Review Index. (Pinned topic)

Sure you do, you're him and vice versa. I'll close this, since there's no need for an introduction anymore.
-
Perhaps the fact that he and you are the same? Oh dear Jokar you're in trouble now
