I think de Gothia is trying to say if the area marked as Glevum was a region and not just one city. If it were all one big city it would be way bigger than the capital and not what you are intending. Maybe your lands/area should be named Glevum, but your town could have another name and simply be located inside Glevum. Maybe a name like Glevumville or Glevumia or something completely different sounding. That way,if this was a farm or something outside the city can still be named "Glevum farm". EDIT: Or the city could be called Glevum and the area could also be called Glevum but I think the size of the city of Glevum need only be represented as an X on the map so it is better scaled.

Thank you Viceroy. Correct, build in Albion, just don't claim a plot number and don't post it in the Albion thread. I may link it into the Albion thread depending on how everything develops.

Albion is a guild project and because we have plots already staked out, I didn't want to allow anyone other than an Avalonian to build in the capital city on the pre-made plots. I hope you understand that if we all other guilds' members to build inside our great capital who knows what kind of foolishness will ensue! HOWEVER... Albion has two tiers and there is no guarantee we will ever develop the space between the Wall and the Inner Sanctum. I am fine with people saying they have built an embassy inside Albion (and therefore located between the two tiers), however, I will not allow it to have a plot number inside the Albion Inner Sanctum and may not link the embassy in the first post of the Albion thread. If we ever develop the outer tier we reserve the right to simply not link an embassy or any other building in the thread as official. I think that is reasonable. Once again, we will NOT be allowing any non-Avalonians to have a plot number in the Inner Sanctum. However, you may say your embassy is in Albion understanding that it may never be linked as an official part on the Albion thread. I would also appreciate any embassy that is listed as being in Albion NOT be posted in the Albion thread itself. Post the embassy in the regular Guild forum and if everything is reasonably completed and fits, I may choose to link them in the Albion thread as well. Thank you!!!

Excellent work fearless leader! I like that all the houses are similar, but none is the same. Different shapes, windows, details, and different combinations of stone and half-timbered work in all of these. I like that you even did a good job of mixing up all the half-timbered sections so they don't all look like the same rectangular grids as the other houses. Looks like there are many nice details here to pour over, so no point in trying to name them all now! Only thing I will say as a mini-critique, though I can see all the houses are different and have some unique subtle differences, when I pull back and look at them as a whole, the coloration is all so close the houses tend to blend together a bit. I would have thought we might have seen one or two houses with some different coloration (though I agree white and dk brown looks great as a combo) or maybe a thatched roof on one or something. Really a minor quibble since if you take the time to look at this (and why wouldn't you?) you can pick up on things that make each building unique.

First off--- POST 1500!! Though I guess that doesn't really mean anything When the round 1 watchtower stuff is figured out, I am sure you will be able to find it quite easily. As far as I am aware, the watchtowers for our guild haven't even been selected yet. I think there were far more than five that were top five worthy so I am sure that task of selecting only five will be difficult. I am glad no one has lobbied Derfel for their creations to be top five picks, and I think it should stay that way until we get some direction. I know it is exciting, but I would not expect any progress until after Xmas/the holiday season.

For a while in the Pirates forum there was some odd behavior with red coats vs blue coats (maybe it was partially inspired by the Halo videos from Roster Teeth... google that if you missed it). People would proclaim themselves champions of the blue coats or would have up "red coat pride" in their signatures. So the smarty pants pirate mods came up with a tournament where a person would choose to be a red coat or a blue coat and then MOC to mock the other side. Personally, I think the mods were just a little miffed with all the red vs blue that was going on WITHOUT the tourney, so this was a good way to get people to get it out of their systems.

We do need some $$ and we do have lots of water... How are we going to tax at the customs stations?

These Drow refugees can build in Avalonia, just NOT in the Pearl city. They may build a fortified embassy on our lands, but Albion is off limits.

Yeah- I wonder what those two dorky soldiers are named as well. We could have a "docks" or port Royal set. That would be cool. It could incoporate Gov. Swan, the two dorky soldier guys, Jack, Elizabeth and Norrington in uniform. That woudl be something I would like to get! I wonder if LEGO thinks in terms of making sets to fit figures on liscense or thinks of cool scenes and then fits the figure in from there... I mean in the LEGO/Clone Wars universe it seems they find cool things to build, then throw in extra figures that we have not yet seen. Maybe it is an unfair comparison since Clone Wars can make cool new things to build all the time and PotC is somewhat limited (how many pirate ship sets can one build?). That issue not withstanding, it seems like they did the opposite with PotC, they thought of scenes with characters, the through in the set pieces behind them. I hope any new sets will be more like Star Wars than the first wave of PotC and will focus on cool builds with the figures being a little more secondary.

Well you have to remember the original comic was for the Tournament of Retribution II, so I had to cater to my audience. Mister Phes is a “boss” over in the pirates forum, so I thought he would fit perfectly as Jaba… though now I think he might take a little offense to being compared to a slug-like gangster… and Skalldyr was a redcoat and the only member who’s avatar was an animal of some sort. I thought he would make the best Chewie of the people available.

I hesitate to do so since you are affiliated with another guild. Perhaps you should simply build your embassy (second main challenge) in Avalonia instead?

Let's end the fleshy debate or Big Cam will tie me up and flog me (again)! It looks to me and in conjunction with the information from Derfel that if we see any pirates they will be PotC. If that is the case, what are the top 3 or 4 minifigs we are missing? If we can figure that out, maybe we can figure out what the 3 or 4 possible sets in a second wave could be. To me the big vacancies are 1. Gov Swan 2. Pintel 3. Reghetti 4. Tia Dalma (5. Jack the monkey?) I think there are several other figures missing too, but those are the main ones... where could they go to get sets incorporating those figs?

I can't do so. I am powerless in that regard, but we can find someone who can!

So this was my comic for the tournament of retribution II here on EB... that tournament happened along time ago, in another theme... not so far away. The idea was Blue Coat vs Red Coat in a battle of hilarious wits. I think I got 3rd or 4th place in the tourney... and I honestly don't remember if the red or blue coats won. So why share it here, now? I think the best joke in the whole comic might have gone over the pirates heads so maybe it will make a few of you laugh for Xmas. Mods... I promise to never post something so Piratey (or something that is already buried in another forum) in here ever again... just give me this one... PLEASE!
