They come in Yellow, White, brown, reddish brown, pink, green and blue. If they came in Red, that would be awesome as several us have red and black ships that are using brown windows! I think me, bone, and legopirate would all appreciate them in red!

Well I am currently in no position to get anything LEGO related organized because of school, but it could be cool someday! Some Brighton news... I have been making some changes to the design. The bottom section is now 3 studs longer, and I removed the roofs on the sides. I am going to leave the roofs off because they compressed the bottom section a little. Now I need to redesign the sides of the lowest tower section to look all pretty since they will be seen. After that I am going to start on the fortress upgrade on the opposite side of the harbor. It will not be as big as the section I have complete, but I am not sure of its exact size and shape yet. Shape wise I guess it will be similar to the fortress section I have finished, but I think it will not be nearly as wide or long.

Haha- I even get an extension named after me! How cool is that?!! Looks good Phred! Well... except for all the dog hair in the pics ;) When will we be getting sails?

Those aren't fireman's axes? Those are hatches m'boy. Hatches are were used by Pirates a lot. Not only were they used as Phred had mentioned, they were also used by pirates in Lego sets as well. There is one in the Imperial Trading Post for example

Brighton (when done) with the ships would be a cool addition. But Portland is not exactly feasible! We sure do have a lot of pirates here from Minnesota and the Midwest though... I don't see why they can't have one in the Twin Cities!

Brickfest PDX 07 - Pirate Pictures and information!!!
ZCerberus replied to Scouty's topic in LEGO Pirates
good call Phred... yeah it is only half way across the country, and since the US is what, like the 3 or 4 the largest country in the world by land mass, it is a bit of a drive (though I suppose Alaska skews those numbers a bit). Still, Portland is very far away, it would be a 20 some hour drive! Chicago is much closer, but it would still be a pain because I would have to drive 180 miles in the wrong direction to get the MOCs, and then another 7 or so back to Chicago again!! I suppose if I got Phred along the way it wouldn't be as terrible! -
Very nice, that rigging looks excellent!

Well the Cabin in the Arbiter II feature a table, chairs, a bed, two lamps, and a smaller table as well... Phred and Tiber and Will aren't hanging out in my cabin though. Also, Fort Brighton has an interior or two as well... Here is the interior for the master at arms cabin. Link to the Fort Brighton thread Link

I voted for Sabre Island, which I think I never owned! I bought several Imperial Outposts though, for the torsos, large flag, and cannon... but i think in terms of look and feel, I like 'Sabre' the best.

Yeah, read that second page! Right, there is a brown larger boat, but it is not the same part as that orange colored one.
-
No, I destroyed it for parts for the fortress! Plus I think I want the look to be somewhat similar to the new fortress!!

Thank you sir... we are still waiting on your MOC fortresses! I also intend to make a mini fortress section for the far left side of the harbor to give the MOC some balance. I don't know when I will get to that though!

My escort frigate (yes probably not an accurate description)
ZCerberus replied to Admiral_Wig's topic in Pirate MOCs
Yes, well I have some close ups of that same construction that I took for bonaparte's ship. But that is only if the Admiral wants to extend the masts, I, of course, was speaking of extending the ratlines only! Fair enough! What of my suggestion to shift the gun ports on the bottom over one stud? -
Good question. Well I has putting on the roof for the 'storehouse' on the port and I realized that it was nearly impossible to attach both sides of it without collapsing the whole thing on top of itself with the way I was building that roof. I thought to my self, "wow it sure would be nice if these things were removable!" At that point I realized I could make them removable if I used magnets. Since I was trying to attach the roof using a modified brick with pin connected to a modified plate with hole, I already had the structure to add the magnets as I did. So basically it was the only solution I could think of to attach the roofs at that point in time given the way I wanted the roofs to look. it wasn't really feasible to make them removable in any other way as well, so I went with it. Since then, I have used magnets a fair amount to attach things or assure that they stay in place. Like the ones used on the Arbiter II's sides. In case you were unaware of the Arbiter II magnets, here is a link

ZCerberus replied to Admiral_Wig's topic in Pirate MOCs
Ah my good Administrator, are any MOCs ever truly done? One thing I might suggest that would help the look would be to shift all the gun ports on the bottom over one stud so there are three studs without a port at the bow and the stern. This would give some balance to the bottom of the ship and would also make it so that none of the ports on the top deck are DIRECTLY over the guns on the bottom deck. They would instead overlap by one stud on two ports which I think would give a little better balance to the MOC. A second thing, on the stern (rear section) on the quarter deck (where the steering wheel is) you have built up quite a wall to attach the smaller ratlines (brown ropes) and you also have a cannon sticking out of there. The wall is a little too tall for my tastes! I realize that it is an easy way to attach the ratlines, but there might be a better solution. My suggestion would to lower the wall and 'extend' the ratlines. Here are two examples of ways to extend the shorter ratlines. They are not ideal, but they may be better than the 'tall wall' approach! Click the thumbs to see the pictures. these are both very minor aesthetic things, but I think it would give a nice boost to the MOC! Good work, and I am excited to see the ship this guy is escorting!! -
So I promised an update when I recolored the bell tower. I did so I will! Links to the larger versions of the same... In case you forgot, this thing will be replacing the for that was on the right side of my harbor... So expect some more pics when they rejoin each other!

Welcome Admiral! You are one of several to offer a rebuilt Black Seas Barracuda! I like this one, it has many good additions! Two decks is a good start and I like the sloped tumblehome effect, something my ship largest ship didn't accomplish. :'-( Would you like suggestions on how to improve your MOCs or are you merely sharing them with us? If you would like some input, don't be afraid! we area a helpful bunch here! Keep MOCing -
That would be 'Lando' from the sail barge set, complete with brown hands and all! Go Star Wars!

Millionaire in Euros or US dollars? I think Euros are worth more, and my work ain't cheap... I mean I need cash just to get my 'infinite bricks' Yeah, and if I were a Moderator I would reply to Jipay and tell him the US already had daylight savings time... we changed it for energy efficiency reasons... more daylight, less electricity we figure... anyhow, only moderators can comment and post on the front page 8-|

Hmm... maybe the redesigned cabin (which is quite good) just makes it look smaller than I recall!
-
Looking good Phred my boy! Two questions 1) Did you originally intend the ship to be longer? It appears to be shorter now then when I first remember seeing the ship. 2) the main mast and the mizzen mast look like they are a little too close together compared to the spacing between the main and mast up front... what do you think?
