  1. Another update already? Well a little more done. I added a long boat to the back, but it is not a minifig rowboat like I probably will use. That part is not available on MLCAD. Also, added a few more Marines. A look at the Marines manning this piece of junk...
  2. TELL ME ABOUT IT! No door frames for my jail doors... No rowboats... The middle section for the Masts on Pirate ships isn't an official part.... They are missing rounded inverted slops of various sizes... No large Red Imperial Flags! I could go on, but seriously! Yeah. I tried to find an unofficial part for all of those, and with the exception of the mast, I have not come across them yet.
  3. Norrington... dirty, dirty mind! Nothing dirty meant, just that it was different and special.
  4. No. Pirate hunting ship. The Imperials will own another in my fleet
  5. Okay, now on to some more updates, and some secret sauce ;) I added some deck guns, a couple marines, some lanterns and some weapons. And something else too, but I forgot what... oh yeah, the secret sauce. I don't know how practical this is, but Xebecs were actually often only rowed when they were first in existence. Later, they added sails and often took out the row benches to make gun decks. I have decided that it fits my ships theme to leave them in there, plus, I am not sure anyone has done this idea before, so I thought I would throw it out there.
  6. Too huge? WHAT! Doesn't it need to be BIGGER! Well maybe not. Thanks for the compliment!
  7. I think so, and I still have some work to do on it!
  8. EDIT: Okay, so I switched up the brickshelf folders and now Phes's links don't work. Here are the pics that were in that post ORIGINAL: See, they are almost identical! Heh- I hope the Covenant rebuild looks as different as well. Maybe you can tell that the original Sienna and Covenant (and even Arbiter) are quite old and need some updating.
  9. I did read the posts, but the two actually do use different parts/colors in some places, so I was just curious as to if they COULD both exist separately, or if you had to recycle enough parts to make it impossible.
  10. Ever since you said 'Eskimo' you've been in trouble! Since you scored me... or us... for MENTIONING ;-) your MOCs in the Brickster's post, I feel that now I can properly ask... the Gov's mansion looks a lot like an Armada MOC you have, now I must ask, can the two exist at the same time? Or does the existence of the mansion mean the Armada MOC is dead?
  11. Thanks! I went red, black and dark gray because some people didn't like the blue and white combo scheme of the Arbiter with the Tan and red sails! Also, I asked my girlfriend (who sometimes reads the forums) which color (blue or red) and she picked red. Well the hulls on the Sienna are being taken by the Covenant. I am going to try to use the wider hulls on the larger ships. The reason this ship is staying as the Sienna is that they are intended to have the same purpose. The weapons on the old Sienna were black and dangerous looking, and though you couldn't really tell, there was a gun cart under the bridge. The ships is meant to be a 'Pirate hunter', meaning it is going to carry some marines who will be raiding pirate ships to scuttle or reclaim them. The new ship is intended to look faster, be a little better armed, and, I hope, different from the other ships I have built. That is why I am going with the leteen-rigged sails as well as some other modifications.
  12. It is called being 'lateen-rigged' and some ships like this one actual did have the square sails, oddly called being 'square-rigged' :-D
  13. Yes, I am not solid on positioning the mizzen mast. I am also not solid on the front mast either. It may have to be tipped forward, but we will see. I can, and may also add some lines on the ship to show were the rigging would go. In terms of a figure head, I am not sure if there will be one at all, but I will think about it. yes, I would like to use facets... but I am not sure they come in red... Bricklink says they do, I am not sure that I have any! I suppose I could use black up there, but we'll see! Remember, it is short on details right now, but I do plan to add them. She still has a few tricks up her sleeves! Then it really would be the Red Drake! ;-)
  14. 21a Well I cannot rebuild the Sienna yet... However, I can get some Ideas down on CAD for ya'll. This is what I envision the new ship to look like. It is different in that the type of ship hasn't really been seen on here before. The Red Drake thread is the closest to it I am thinking. It is missing ALOT of detail, I know, but I wanted to get a structure down to see if I thought the overall design worked. I think it works pretty well. I am using the narrower hulls because I have them, and I wanted the ship to look sleek and fast. It will eventually have a history (pirate hunter), but for now, I thought I would share a picture of the designs!
  15. Yes, the one issue I do have with my harbor is it is so uniform. I guess I always that was okay since they were all part of the complex, and forts would often be all one color, but I do like Brickster's use of something else to break it up! *y* Oh, and Phes... is it just me, or does the Govenor's mansion look very similar to the Armada building you have there ;-) (this guy is apparently winking)
  16. Ah... well it generates part lists... but it has errors... It includes the sub-model as a "part" with a color, but it only counts the pieces in the submodel once... so if I have a submodel that I use 5 times, it will only count the pieces for the submodel once and then says I have 5 of them... maybe that doesn't make sense... Anyway, MLCAD also lets you make instructions... if while building you tell it you are starting a new step. I didn't bother since I was just designing it without needing instructions myself. Therefore the program allows it if you think ahead, but I didn't really do so! Is there a particular building you are interested in? Or is it just a general question?
  17. Yes, well 140 stud length Frigates with many guns (and space wheels) are always hard to stop!
  18. I didn't say spectacular, just a different style!! I expect some might not like it.
  19. Ha, well the Covenant will still be around, but the Sienna is receiving a major upgrade. It will not really even be the same ship and I am pretty sure I have not seen a Pirate ship that is the same style as the new Sienna is going to be. It will be different that the classic ships we've had here.
  20. Heh- yeah there are several on there... but bricklink will always get you more... they are a bit pricey though, especial if you want them with the little red bricks!. For pimping my MOC, you also get a high five! *ZCerberus gives Phred a high five*
  21. What are you talking about? I was defending you! You said you would prefer it red, Mr. Tiber said red was for ships, I said that wasn't right, they were often used on land, that was all, I never said it had to be either color, just correcting Mr. Tiber's claim. Well it is a house... or something... and it has boats... so I guess that classifies it as a boat house... or something. If you were referring to my image that I posted, yes, kind of... it has a removable second level. follow the link to have a look. Link
  22. ZCerberus

    Sienna

Hard to say... I might only use two. We'll have to wait and see!!
  23. Yes, that is it! You found it. Yes. I really like that Head for the admiral!!
  24. ZCerberus

    Sienna

I believe I will be using 2 or 3... most likely 3. Speed, decently armed, speed. :-$ this pirate smiley is winking... you just can't tell 'cause of the eye patch!
  25. No, no... that is not quite true! Red cannons were used for most of the Imperial Guards and Soldiers on the ground, and basically all the ships on the high seas. See the ITP and Imperial Outpost, Sabre Island, EF and other Imperials... as well as several later pirate sets, like Pirate's Perilous pitfall! Also, I like the second version better, the color choices go better together on each building, even if over all they are still a little... colorful? hehe. I would object to the idea that Phes has never seen a boat house as I put something like that on my Harbor's Fortress section. I guess it is not a 'shack' like Brickster's, but the idea is similar! See for yourself!
