No. But I can give you YOUR scores if you would like via PM. Maybe for a set period, it has not been discussed, but not after that. -

Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread

Yes sir. Gotcha. The total points a MOC can get is 50. 10 for photography (in focus, good lighting, solid background), 10 for presentation (meaning story and having the shots depicting that story) and 30 for how the build fits the criteria presented and how "good" the build is overall. I am not sure we've had a perfect 50 ever, but scores in the low to mid 40s are common for well made MOCs. Guild leaders never score their own guild. I hope that helps. I think focus on fitting the criteria is most critical followed by skill shown in build. Good luck!! -

I don't know what you are talking about! -
Yes, I am actually looking forward to riddles for all the rocky pieces. MORE rocks please!!!

It's cool. We're glad you joined! I just didn't want the thread to devolve into Europe and Australia price complaints! I do like the Monster Fighter sets... What do you think of that set? Looks like it has some promise.

Maybe the joust 10223 is a good alternative. It also is low on panel pieces and has "better" figures for your kid. Piece count is also very good at 1575.

A MOC off. Excellent!

I think most people are generally aware of the good prices in the US. Let's keep the discussion on deals and acquisitions and less on international prices.

Good work man. Looks like you need more light in the photos. Prince of the Forest title coming your way!

Some nice features here. Love it.

Guild points are NEVER subject to popular vote, only big prizes. No big prize has been announced, so at this point, no public vote. I terms of criteria- I think SoT did a decent job of laying out what the leaders are looking for. It should be a single build that shows a fantasy location with a battle/refugee camp as well. A series of vigs would NOT work unless they connect to form one scene. Good luck everyone! -

Oh my. You've been busy. I will get your titles up soon. Your leader has been very busy! He had real life duties during the Olympics in London and then the build for the show you referenced and now he is doing Iron Builder! Luckily he left someone with the power to represent Avalonia and update the first post while he was out. -
Stupid phone auto correct! Oh well, you still got the idea.

The floating cheese slope cubes are awesome. Good work Mr. Duck!

Kabel you started the contest before hand, so unless there is some issue with your contest, finish it up. From now on, if you want to run a contest with a prize, you can run it past a history regulator (me or rogue_ang) but it will have to eventually go through ISC for approval. If it is within your guild, your guild leader ALSO has ISC's ear, so you can run it by them. Ecclesiastes, for example, ran his slums and defenses challenge through Sirens-of-Titan who ran it past ISC. MikeyB is doing the same for his fifth guild challenge- or at least he is working on it. That is the way to go if you have prizes. No prizes, or just want a community build, then post it whenever you want. The issues with member run contests and prizes are that if the member fails to pay the piper at the end, then people committed time and resources for a project that doesn't pay and EB looks bad for letting it happen. -
My comment must have been lost in the crash of 2012! Anyhow- great work. This was an excellent project!

Look at the little history hat under my name there... I am TELLING everyone they have to be approved by staff going forward. In part due to the departure of Angeli during his contest and issues with other member run contests on other parts of the site, the EB policy, which will be closely monitored, is to have all contests approved by staff. It really isn't too hard to get them approved, but it must be done. -

Hosting contests with prizes though has to go through a staff member. The final say is from your history Mod. -
Really... Anyone think LEGO would actually title a set "Cavalry builder"? Or is it just me?
-
I could think of dozens of reasons for a delay. Gettin made and asking everyone to speculate isn't going to be productive though!

Hey guys- friendly history regulator reminder- please don't "bump" old threads unless there is a reason other than "liking" the post.

I am guessing there will be some action when CH5 nears, but we were down in guild entries in the last couple of challenges. There is only one main challenge left, but we certainly would like the guilds to continue on. If you have the magic bullet CBB, let us know. If this isn't the right spot to discuss it, PM me or DC. -

I was told I can join Nocty if I bring daffodils. Picking them as we speak! -
