  1. I think I am largely to blame for the Techinic decision. I will take your advice and move them. If I miss any feel free to bother me! EDIT: Done! I also moved one that was in Others but was supposed to be in Technic... (As for a Model Team Forum, sad to say, not very likely. A pure Technic or Bionicle one would be more likely first... and there isn't a good chance of that happening either!)
  2. I stand corrected!
  3. It's probably one of the old NBA heads...
  4. They have been added to the S@H site for Australians. Sad to say the price is not what I wanted; the Coast Guard Patrol Boat & Tower is $99 AUD. For a 444 piece set that is rather surprising. The Coast Guard Helicopter & Life Raft set is a better deal at $59 AUD and 445 pieces.
  5. It's funny that you say that as I feel that way about my boots when I go out. But around home I never wear shoes... but how would you know this? Have I said this before? I'm a little weirded out right now...
  6. Very true! I have highly trained feet and I never break Lego, even if I stand on it! But I wouldn't dare try the same trick with shoes on...
  7. I hope you are talking about the favourite theme part... EDIT: They are on the S@H site for Australia. 7644 MX-81 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft $130 AUD 7645 MT-61 Crystal Reaper $80 AUD 7645 is a surprisingly good deal!
  8. That's one stunning U-Boat! I believe it's this;
  9. Yes! It's a great deal... and just one more sign that Pirates are returning!
  10. That's a pretty good start! I look forward to seeing the finished product. As for the empty module, you could use it as a mini-hangar, but without knowing how the finished product will be I'm not sure how well that will work.
  11. Thanks for the review. My wife wanted me to buy this for the fishtank, and I came close! Untimately this set didn't offer many good part to me so I bought the smaller set with the same car. The trailer is just too insubstantial...
  12. Happy anniversary!
  13. I'll be looking out for these sets! I still haven't decided on if I will buy them or not; the price will be the deciding factor... Tease...
  14. Well that's one way of putting it, the other one would be that I'm wrong! In this case I am glad to be though...
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a Target exculsive in Australia. It isn't on-line either...
  16. I had too high expectations of the Hero Tank, so when i bought it I was bound to be disapointed. I wouldn't have been disapointed with this... but chances are it would have cost too much! I'm glad it has a rotating turret, I can't see this thing turning fast!
  17. Mate, this is a really great MOC for someone fairly new to the business. I'll be keeping an eye out for your future work. One thing that surprises me is that while you have used some of the larger castle pieces, yet it all fits in so well. I've tried to make castles in the past but they always seem to look like they were made by a 10 year old.. I love it. How long will it stay together?
  18. Oh sorry. I was going to reply to this but I forgot. Hinckley is right; somehow you have switched to Outline mode. I really should use that mode occasionally.
  19. I really miss them. The only one that I still have in near-perfect condition is 8888. What I liked about them was that most of the time they were based on current sets and thus everything in them could be made. Often when you see a MOC it uses old / rare parts, or is simply too big. The ideas books for the most part were composites of just a few sets. I always saw that as a dream. Interestingly, when I was borrowing Gavin and Gregor I decided that I wanted to create a story based on the 6000 ideas book! I even did the fire part!
  20. Sorry, I missed this reply. Not that it mattered; they were all sold when I went back there.
  21. Happy birthday o dead one!
  22. Oh my! I think I just wet myself! I think Mars Mission is shaping up to be my favourte theme ever. That set is so cool!
  23. I recieved yesterday a load of old space and submarine sets; 6195 Neptune Discovery Lab 6125 Sea Sprint 9 6110 Solo Sub 6889 Recon Robot 6835 Saucer Scout 6135 Spy Shark 1737 Scorpion Detector 6458 Satellite with Astronaut 6852 Sonar Security 8208 Custom Cruiser 6679 Dark Shark 6463 Lunar Rover 6115 Shark Scout 6425 TV Chopper 6516 Moon Walker This load fills a huge hole in my collection as I never bought any of the 90s sets. Most of them were 100% complete with instructions, including to my surprise Neptune Discovery Lab Yes. Yesterday I bought 7627 Jungle Duel and 8117 Storm Lasher. I wanted the ants! I'll wait for some sale for the other Indy sets; I think they are overpriced...
