  1. You've got the wrong set mate!
  2. Please note that the point of this forum is not to inform Eurobricks members of Bricklink store updates. It's more for irregular sales/trades. Even so, in most cases we don't mind if members post updates to a single topic every few months, but you've been making updates ever week or two. Please don't keep doing this. I'm going to merge this with your other store updates.
  3. He's laying it on a bit thick. It's more of a replacement for the standard battery box; I strongly doubt it'll compare to the performance of the (discontinued?) lithium. Even so I might make my own adapter and try it out! For Australians that battery was $99.99 without the charger, so I gave it a miss.
  4. In what could be seen as questionable timing, ME Models announced on April the 1st some widely expected news; they will be selling a new system of rails designed to work with all LEGO train systems. What? Monorails...? OK, alright, almost all... Anyway, it's been covered on Railbricks and on Classic-Town so most should know about this news already, but now that the Dark Day of April has passed I thought it could be a good idea to remind that this news is no joke... Discuss this exciting new train product here!
  5. ....and so it ends for another year.
  6. April Fools is well and truly over.
  7. No it's not! It must be a local issue as it looks normal to me. ...also, please people; don't turn this into a General Complaints About Skins topic.
  8. Updated! Please be sure you've got the name 100% right. For example; Edbrick I can guess, but greogvich; was that supposed to be Gregorovich? (I need an answer there. )
  9. ...on the other hand you could just buy a set and sell the cars.
  10. Thanks Captain Obvious. It's becoming Winter in Australia, we don't have skin for every season, so for now it'll do.
  11. Please; one topic only.
  12. Well I agree with Shadows, but for now I'll be nice and just move this topic...
  13. My pleasure. It's time this Pirates Privilege thing ended. Let them rot in the chamber I say! I've told them all if they do 100 good blog posts I'll consider letting them out... but well see!
  14. Yeah. I've edited the topic title.
  15. That's a rather rude request! Why can't you discuss it here; train weights are hardly a private issue...
  16. AndyC was first.
  17. Never heard of that! It's certainly similar, but I don't think it's the ancestor of Technic. For one, going to that site, it's clear that it's LEGO (Self-Locking Building Bricks? ) with holes for the most part, not a technical building toy. The fact is a beam with holes in it is an "obvious" invention, and nobody deserves credit for the concept itself. If anything, I think Technic is derived from Meccano. I'm not sure why he's going on about Kiddicraft like it's news. Yes, they were first, didn't realise the potential, and gave up. Ole Kirk Christiansen tried harder, eventually succeeded, and TLG bought the Kiddicraft patents in time...
  18. Yes, this is a spammer. Please just delete any of it's rubbish.

  19. Ta; I bought it today. My patience has paid off!
  20. I am left annoyed. Please don't quote entire posts, especially when they are so graphic intensive. In reality there's no need to quote it anyway; this topic is about the MOC so the reply is implied...
  21. Darn. I just found some time to make an entry but it's too late. On a positive note, there were some really good containers made!
  22. It's here! KimT & Morten using powers of the Force has acquired the 10219 Maersk Train. Load up and go the the train review!
  23. Off topic. Please clarify; do you mean posting in old topics? Yeah, it's a punishment for bumpers; they bump their topic, I post here and bump them back down! Yeah. Punishment tags aren't going to happen. Only if the symptoms persist. You forgot the country music.
  24. It's OK, and it wasn't aimed at anyone specifically. It's just we get loads of complaints with topics like this. Now that the sets are actually turning up the conversation should be more easily kept LEGO related. Did I quote you?
  25. The short answer is that it's bad form. I've got a blog too, but I post everything on EB as well, so I have a right to get on my high horse! But there are ways that you can do this without facing the wrath of the staff; 1. Link to your reviews from your About Me page. Providing you don't go overboard we're cool with that. 2. Answer a question fully and then provide a link to your review. For example; Bad... Read my review. ...and good. Most, but not all. The funny thing is the main model doesn't use all the parts either; some, such as the winch, are just used in the alts. I've got loads of photos of this set in the review on my blog. 3. If you want to post reviews in a separate topic, but still want people to visit your blog, post most of the review here (including your conclusion and thoughts), and say that there's more on your site. Posting a review with a photo or two and a link is annoying; EB is a community not a noticeboard. Ultimately you know the answer to this question. If you can honestly say that you are providing a link rather than the content as you think it's more appropriate and not that you're trying to generate site traffic then it would be best to provide a link. Feel free to ask further questions if you want more details. ....BTW, your blog is rather nice.
