Brickbeard was almost out of luck. The 'Bounty suffered major keel damage when he was forced to take her over a reef to escape from the new Imperial Flagship. (How dare they get a bigger ship?!) Unable to pay the cost of repairs he made a gamble; using all his hoarded treasure he'd buy a smaller ship and go back to his roots as a smuggler to raise the gold. With him he took none of his old crew, and at short notice he found he had slim pickings. Two looked like George Michael, one looked as old as his clothes did, and the other just liked hanging around wearing as little as possible. But they were good sailors. Even so, being a traditionalist he still carried the colours, but he resisted flying them too much and never from the mast! This ship he found as the "White Pearl" and after buying a replacement figure head he dubbed her "Batspeed". The ships was ideal for the job; she had a small draft, an excessive amount of sails and she didn't look so much like a pirate ship. Only one cannon was carried; any more would have been suspicious. Being an ex-nobleman's ship she was fast and had good sea-keeping qualities, so in part to maintain the image, he took on passengers sometimes. This one was reportedly looking for his "rightful" bucket. MOC Notes: I needed to build a pirate ship ASAP so it could be sent to Brickworld and this weekend I found the time. I spent about a day on it so I'm happy all things considered. When I get it back I'll probably buy some of the smaller sails...

As I thought; people who work on games, not people who could help with site security. Chances are under half of them were programmers... and one or two at best were web-programmers. ...as I said I got PS+ as I'm a fanboy. The rest is a bonus. They do. They had only just returned to being profitable recently... and this outage will cost them big. The fixing, the lawsuits, the lost revenue, the lost prestige...

Would that make a difference? Weight is weight... I think Traktor was saying that with it so high handling will suffer due to center of gravity issues. -
I've got no idea what sacking you're on about so I can't comment much. Were these 200 people web-programmers? Anyway, are you happy to pay Sony more to help pay for these 200 staff? I am, and that's why I paid for PS+, you I recall canceled. Don't you think it's a bit much to expect Sony to put more into a free service when you aren't prepared to put your money where your mouth is?

Yeah.... moving.

Same method. More pictures are here. (This was my second AFOL MOC so be gentle... )

Sure it's true; the better read is here. Much of what is mentioned in that story has been talked about earlier. But this is all small stuff... and is hardly fair when you consider how big Sony is. They own a lot of websites, some of which were inherited from buyouts. As the story says; In short, not relevant to PSN at all, and I don't find it disturbing at all, it's just the reality of the internet. Website management is hard work; for example BZP has been offline for over a week doing upgrades. I suspect you'd be surprised to know the amount of work we have done on EB to keep everything running as smooth as possible...

Yeah, it sucks. I had the same problem when I used this hull a few years back. This was my solution...

Buckets? Yeah, it's good news.

They could have tried harder on security, that's a fact. But it still doesn't excuse the criminals who did this. It's a waste of time and money. I got sick of needing to update my computer every year or two just to play badly written games. Consoles are good as they force developers to write better code as they can't do the old "this game is so good it needs a new computer" rubbish. I mostly gave up on PC gaming about ten years ago and the only games I play on my PC now are ones that don't work well on a console; for example RTS games like Homeworld. I'll probably give the "free" Portal 2 game a go though... Thank you! Downloading now...

Flags are only given to people ranked Fellow and above. Why? For one it's a perk, secondly it'd be too much work to give flags to 15,000 members...

That's enough spamming (and topic bumping) from you... for ever. First and last warning. -
...who? I thought I got rid of all of those queue jumpers?
-
Yeah, it is. I certainly wouldn't do it... especially if I was a new member. But aside from being rude I don't really see the point in mentioning this in a topic; in your signature would be smarter and you'd get more exposure. It's not like there's much to talk about on the topic! In any case I don't really see FBTB as a competitor, and I'd rather people be reminded that this is a rude and pointless thing to do, so I'll leave this open... for now. ...no, I think it's every major LEGO site. Lack of honestly in kids today or just a comprehension issue? You tell me...

Yeah...

No, you wont.

Whatever happened to the LEGO Legends line?
Siegfried replied to Piranha's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm surprised you're asking this; isn't this a n00b question? ...anyway, from what I've heard the line was expensive and unprofitable. -
"Security expert", yeah right. Linux has a firewall built in... Sure you should, I'm not sure why you wouldn't. If Sony dies out of this (it's been one bad story after another for Sony for the last few years), you'll be left with XBOX and the Wii. The end of gaming in my view...
-
Not for me, even the new rockmonster is way superior. (Yes, I have both.) But most of all the builds were inferior and they consisted for the most part of pieces like... The only thing I did like was the chrome drill... but that pales in comparison to the mighty counter-rotating drill in 8960. Yeah. Old-age-goggles off!

Since you seem to have a terminal case of the bumps I have the cure.

Question: How to show my new idea to TLG
Siegfried replied to ENeuman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Official answer; It's topic #: 5571-151 in their knowledge base, and this is a standard policy. It avoids people suing them claiming they inspired/created something.
