Well that's because they are the same thing. But you obviously can't tell the difference between topics either; this one is about titles...

Yeah, it's annoying I know; I made this change recently. I'm hoping to work out a cleaner solution but for now until you're "promoted" to Vassal in 7 posts you can't. This is because spammers were commenting on people's profiles... and posting off topic links. (Not sure why; search engines can't view the profiles either so there was no benefit for them. ) By forcing people to make 10 posts first we have something to look at when determining someones joining motivation and posting style. I'll move this from Pirates.

It was a joke. I'm very well aware of that set; it cost a great deal of my time yesterday! Yes, that's correct. Aside from missing the point of the contest (as in the quality of your MOC) since you need to join EB to vote in a contest we don't want hoards of people joining to vote once and never post. But this contest is on a website, not a forum, and thus it doesn't have the same problem. In the end the winner of that vote is not necessarily the winner of the contest, and I suspect in the end it'll mean little. Also, as Cecilie says, they are asking people to do that; In the end it's all meant as album promotion. Their contest their rules, our contest our rules. No conflict of morality at all.... and why the negative attitude anyway? I don't think we deserve it at all. WhiteFang worked his butt off over these contests and I think you owe him an apology for questioning his morality.

Happy early birthday then!

Yeah I agree. I'm reluctant to even buy custom weapons from BrickArms and the like! But to me this is a too far; it goes beyond an accessory and becomes a major feature, like those metal axels and beams. If I was using this I'd be questioning why I was using LEGO at all and I wouldn't see it as a LEGO MOC either. It's rather lame that they say "Our product is made from ABS plastic that is similar to the ABS plastic used by LEGO." So is my Coffee Machine.

Kind-of-welcome back then!

...and it's time now! I've de-hidden all the posts.

What Diagon Alley set?
-
Less than a day.
-
So do we. So do many sites. But we're respecting the wishes of TLG and not displaying the very nice high-res images we have as they have an official release time.
-
Sorry Yeah, I'm the Harry Potter News Release Police today. There's a really cool set that will be announced in under a day. TLG have given us details and want us to allow them to announce it officially. Obviously at least one of the people on their list can't be trusted... but we can. Sorry guys; I'll un-hide the posts when the set is officially announced.

The origin and usage of that symbol is more complicated than what you imply; as Wikipedia and other sources highlight. I suspect he just made a honest mistake and meant no offense (he does call it a pentagram afterall), but in any case the Jewish people do not have a monopoly on that symbol so it makes no sense to take it as an attack on them.
-
I agree. I must admit that it impressed me less after I made it! I think TLG should re-consider the way they advertise these sets as a lot often say the same. Yes, I was quite impressed with the crane actually. In many ways I think they should have made it the primary. Thanks, it's my new hobby! With larger models it's too hard to get good light inside so I've been cheating more and more. As an added bonus you can try to make things look "real". Err... thanks. I'm surprised I missed that one. I've fixed it now.

Oddly I feel the need to say my last post was a joke...

They do. I can provide photos if you need proof. Take a look here for example; See the holes in the top? That's where the screws go are.

Minifigures Series 2 Box Arrangement & Distribution
Siegfried replied to desultor's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It's very similar to the box me and a friend got. I don't think it's been tampered with. -
I'm semi convinced. 1. Colour: Same 2. Hair: Yep, it's hair 3. Long Hair: Yes 4. LEGO: Yes Any other detail isn't worth mentioning.
-
Are you sure?
-
No, "LEGO" should never be used as a plural. Aside from sounding odd, it's incorrect usage. The correct plural is "LEGO Bricks" or "LEGO Elements". The funny thing is the written version got it right.
-
Yeah, I had the same thought. So who in the new PotC movie has red hair?
