  1. Not as yet. But possibly in the future; I've got more toys in the mail!
  2. No hints in any way, shape or form please.
  3. Yeah, my clue. I made it vague for that reason, but I probably should have made it even vaguer!
  4. Well I will in that case... No; TLG don't do that, and even if they did it would be in about 10 years. Your best bet is Bricklink.
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. He said there was a bridge rectifier; that should prevent any reverse voltage. Man... I'm impressed. I really want one of those batteries now!
  7. Nope! There are too many clues in that one as it is. Don't take it personally. To find the Mini-Figs from the clues three things will help most of all; 1. LEGO knowledge, the further back the better. Remember that many of the staff are 30+ (I'm 35) and have long LEGO memories! 2. Site knowledge, the further back the better. Some of the clues are about specific topics or members. 3. Non-LEGO Licensed Theme knowledge. Less important, but knowing details about Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter.... and so on.. can help.
  8. Yeah, they were the guys behind the Genesis effect in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Stunning work at the time. George sold them in 1986 as he was short on cash.
  9. Thanks, mine as well. This is an easy one if you know it, potentially extremely hard if you don't... I think there's enough there for anyone to work it out though.
  10. I've got "Weight Watches". It seems Google has been talking to my scales.
  11. Ironically you've increased the chance of seeing those ads turning up here by talking about them! Also; it could be more a sign of your browsing habits. On EB I see loads of Australian LEGO and Android Phone ads!
  12. I think this is the best technic set LEGO have ever made, possibly even the best set ever. It was very ambitious and it's not too surprising that it had some problems. I don't own the set as yet (S@H price isn't too good for Australians) but I intend to buy it. I hope this trouble doesn't result in TLG making more "Hauler" style sets to avoid the issue...
  13. But I fixed it already so there's no need to.
  14. But the elves! They never did elves!
  15. Darn! It was hard to find an appropriate one for him and I probably should have dropped some of the detail. *Goes of to edit later clues*
  16. There's no one suitable; we'd recruit more if we could. Indeed it is, and we indeed we do. Adults are old enough to understand that rules are there for a reason, and that it's a sad fact of life that because of a few idiots everyone must suffer. Speeding is a good example; if everyone was responsible there would be no need for rules on this. Likewise because of people filling their signatures with too many irrelevant links we've restricted them. But I can be reasonable; would six links make you happy?
  17. Take Snowtroopers.
  18. Lurching out of Kuat Drive Yards is a prototype steerable walking AT-AT. At the behest of the troops (led by Diaaabo) the call was made for more maneuverability, and Imperial engineer efferman delivered! Discuss the Terrifying Titan in the Technic forum!
  19. I don't like it either, but to be brutally honest I (and the rest of the staff) have better things to do than be the signature police for 11209 members. I have enough trouble with avatars and if the board can give the staff one less bit of work to do then that's great. I'd rather spend my EB time helping out with contests than fighting this losing cause. We have too many members and too few staff to keep doing things this way. As I've said, please use the "About Me" page and just use the signature for your recent work. It's a more sensible solution than having people load big lists of links for no reason most of the time. For what it's worth, I do think the URL limit is unfair to many members. That's why the rule is waived for Counts and above. (Knights can have 8.) It comes down to it that most of our members are Citizen and below so by having the site handle those we can then handle the rest on a case by case basis. I've seen that when most members have loads of links many of them are stuff like those dragon egg things; limiting it to 4 prevents that. It also solves a lot of our spammer issues. Besides, even with the new URL limit we have for years had a 4 image limit, which we do allow some latitude with long term members, including Citizens. Thus changing the URL rule wouldn't help you much anyway... So aside from giving me more work, do you have an idea of how to do it better?
  20. Mate.... please.... slow down. Stop creating vague topics in quick succession. This isn't a chat board; look for a topic and join in. This is my last polite warning.
  21. Yes they do. Besides, you should be able to relate to them; a one word topic in the wrong forum comprised of one vague sentence. Lazy. I'm closing this and moving it out of Licensed.
  22. Indeed it is. I think it looks quite similar to the video I posted above! If anything it's too manoeuvrable! Great work!
  23. It'll have to be cheaper to get me interested; it's only 864 parts and most are generic. That's the kind of price one expects for a licensed set! Even $129 seems a bit pricey.
  24. Big W now have World Racers sets (I saw the big one and the one with 2 cars for slightly cheaper than list), the castle sets (7947 Prison Tower and 7948 Outpost Attack; both slightly cheaper than list) as well as 8078 Portal of Atlantis for about $125. (I grabbed one of those! ) There was one left at my local K-Mart. I bought it and gave the figs to the kids...
