The heros 2.0 will have knees and elbows according to my Lego-employee friend.
-
I saw the heros a while ago, but the villains are new to me. Digging the names actually, better than the first time around, more like Transformers now. Looks like new limb bits and trans armor, so fairly promising, but I diolike lots of red and the masts look way too flat.

What exactly is the story behind his scale? Hes certainly larger than a normal toa, but any reason for this? Then again, I guess we never got an explainationa s to the massive takky we got in 08, but still. Anyways it looks pretty good but the torso is a big no-no. With arms and legs like that he deserves a better torso, something along the lines of an Axonn torso would work even. Also, I would recommend adding in another color. Silver was never really the mian color of him. In fact, silver is barely seen on any takanuva; 03 Takky; Dark gold and white 08 Takky; Gunmetal and white 10 Takky; White and silver So if nothing else he could stand to have some more white. Other than that I like the legs and upper arms. ;]

Looks good I like the wing greebles a lot. I'm not too familiar with the Raptor but after a quick search it looks spot on. Not really a fan of the small wings with big cockpit, but that's how the original vehical is so I can't knock you down for that.

Micheal bay offered 50,000$ to anyone who turned her and her cameraman in. But how is that what you are listening to? Anyways, Six by All that Remains

[Review] 7295 Dino Buggy Chaser
VBBN replied to Plissken's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Huh, We are well into 2010 yet I see no Dinopocalypse... Thanks for the review! I remmeber buying this set when I was on vacation in florida, It was definatly a cool set. Well, I bought the Dino Attack version, but still. -
The articulation doesnt really bother me, the way mine is posed it doesnt require it to move side to side at all. Yeah, I like Corroder's mask but the weapons make me think of the Vahki Bordahk, Air katanam, and takanuva staff; Used way too much. I don't like how they make up the bulk of his torso, it doesnt look good IMO. Oh and I agree with Surge being the most surprsingly good set.
-
^lol Meltdown as the worst villan? 0.o Corrodor quite clearly isnt as good as him IMO.
-
Looks great, far nicer than the orginal. And man, If I had a pizza shoppe right next my house like that, I'd be set.
-
Fine Mocs indeed oky ;D I must say, I really like the use of Buzz's wings as the spoiler, so my vote goes to him.

Listening Disturbed's new album "Asylum" Really liking it, most of the songs make me think of Sickened and Forsaken, which have always been some of my favorite disturbed songs. At the moment I'm listening to this one, a very emotional song actually; As far as I know it's about his girlfriend who hung herself while she was pregnant with his child, but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks for the review! ;] I like this set okay, He's my second favorite 13$ villan, only being beat by Meltdown. I really like the new silver, and seeing it in large amounts on this figure is nice. Though I am annoyed by the light gray HFCT(hero factory chunky things)

It's a great update with the original feel from the first one, great job
-
Haha I know, I still have yet to listen to Podcast 5. Kinda dissapointed we havent heard breez yet, is she in 5 or 6?
-
Unfortunatly there is no real way to secure it well, you could put an extrmely thin drab of superglue along the edge of the stud, let it dry, then put the hair on, but otherwise there isn't much to be done. Or use a tac of somesort like rriggs said.

Thanks for the review! It's good to see some out-of-the-ordinary figures being reviewed, I must say, while these figures were clever, they were really limited in terms of what you could do with the junorized parts, the torso block is especially annoying.
-
Thanks for the review! If you are interested in presenting reviews to the Eurobricks, you may want to check out the Reviewer's academy ;] I must say, this set has really grown on me, As a set exclusive I can understand all the recolored parts, I just wish they had used something other than Rotor's helmet, it's much too big for this size of figure.

Nice review, with a ton of pictures! I did like the metru, though the geared chests were of annoyance to me, I much preferred the geared functions of the mata because you could lock them into place and such. Though for future reference, please try to keep the photos to a smaller size to reduce loading times.

Let's celebrate our Reviewers Academy 2nd Anniversary!
VBBN replied to WhiteFang's topic in Forum Information and Help
Thanks for the kind words to us teachers! And for those of you who are current students in the academy and hope to join the golden tag rank, I give a thanks to you. If it werent for aspiring students wanting to create reviews, the RA simply would not be able to go on. In any case, 2 years flys by fast! -
It looks good so far, I think my main recommendation is to change the fence. It's hard to see the fence in this pic; It's the black iron fence in the bottom right corner. Something like this; Nice tile work so far though.

Welcome to Eurobricks! Yes i must agree, the simplicity of the older sets is what makes them very nice, and classic town is a favorite of mine as well. Have fun and ask if you have any questions. ;]

Anything pre-2005. I mean, 2001 is a classic and any long standing fan of Bionicle loves it. I also really enjoyed Metru nui because of a large colesium and city and everything, but the execution of the 2005 portion of it was crap IMO.
