Oh No! You used the word "afford"! Do you realize what you've unleashed! Alcarin, he didn't mean it!

I'm really like these ideas of a Gondor courtyard with the white tree or the lighting of the beacon. They may fizzle like the Council of Elrond has, but they would be great for us AFOLs! That didn't stop them in the Weathertop set. Flick-fire tree roots my beard!

I didn't check your flickr page before. Just went and saw the other pictures. They look good!

I think with the continuation of the Chima line we will begin to see more and more variety. Case-in-point are the Raven sig-figs that have had some great builds in Nocturnus.
-
This is only stage 2! As I was looking at it I was thinking "This is a great stage 3 entry." How you're going to top this is beyond me!
-
Wow, so much detail, love it! As a couple others have mentioned, I love the filling that is exposed in the wall. That takes a lot of extra work but shows great attention to detail.
-
This is a gorgeous build! Which technique did you use for the tile-brick work on the walls? I love everything about this build!

Yes, Gideon's suggestions are good. Your build is fantastic and I really admire your skill with just a simple flashlight. However, it does turn the snow on your mountains a shade of yellow instead of white. Not much you can do about that with just a flashlight. But, that's just a minor thing. You've really done a great job.

I love the details on the orange house. The way the stone work works its way up towards the point of the roof is spectacular!

Why do the mad monks have yellow hands? Is it because they have yellow gloves? -
I'd love to see more pictures myself. This is a fantastic little build and a great first go at angled building.
-
That's good. I like that. And I've always been a fan of your Puss no Boots character.

Any estimates as to the value of this lot?

Love the use of Boba's cape! -
Please, everyone, read what has been said before you. All these arguments that keep coming back are getting tiring.

I actually got most of my inspiration from the various churches around downtown Chicago.

We haven't even seen leaked pictures of that series yet, but the Simpson House already has a release date. Therefore, you could argue that Lego used brand new head molds in a D2C set before releasing it in any other set.
-
I was actually more drawn to the pirate ship as a Tolkien fan. I don't think I would have even given it a 2nd look if I weren't a Tolkien fan. As for D2Cs and new molds, the new Simpsons set shows that Lego is willing to use new molds for D2C.

Thank you kabel, I've really enjoyed getting into GoH. Such a great world you all have created and I'm glad to be a part of it now!

We've already been over the whole UCS thing. Let's not start that again.

The gold horns really go well with this build, nicely done!
-
I second that. Don't know if I've ever seen a 5 support-beam tower before.

All the more reason to have the descriptive bios I'm putting together on them!

I'm working on a planet list to send to the moderators. I've included the following: Bothawui, Commenor, Corellia, Dantooine, Felucia, Fondor, Hapes, Kuat, Mon Calamari, and Ord Mantell. Anyone think there should be any others on the list? Or should any of these be removed for some reason? Let me know what you think!

Thanks everyone! I'm much happier with this finished product as opposed to what I entered for the contest. This is probably my most detailed and largest build to date and I'm very pleased with it. Yes, I didn't have time to make them into what I wanted the first time, so I did change them for the final version.
