Yeah, what good is voting in a mafia game when you can give almost everyone night actions? Yeah, you weren't pushing for him in PMs at all from day 1. Ricey and Inky indeed saved their megablocks by their voting behavior on badboytje and Scouts. And badboytje was really suspicious to you from early on as well for some strange reason. And I should have known better when you finally started fishing about whether I thought Scouts was suspicious. But in general, your PMs didn't make you look really trustworthy or suspicious. You're great at being a 'neutral' player, really hard to read.

I learned my lesson the hard way when Rufus killed me for thinking I was 'Gary Coleman'/the investigator, because I used as a commentary on Hinck picking that nickname for flitwick in Werewolf.

Thanks Hinck. The thing I hate most about being killed is that I have to stop talking about the game. The 15 page PM with Rufus got quiet, so I decided to expand our PM a bit. You seemed like you needed someone to talk to at that time. I'm looking forward to The Forest 2, in due time... I deleted the from my own posts a couple of times before hitting 'Add Reply'. I keep seeing it as a scum-tell. Only if you let me rant about Eurodina a little more. At least the accusation against you on day 1 made sure you actually played this time. You got a too easy win in Werewolf. I am surprised the scum kept you alive all the way 'til the end though. Hinck, Draggy and I were both performing another monk's night action when we were killed. The actions both survived though. Would the monks loose, for example, the arson protect if Fangy would be killed though? Your claimed targets aren't really 'details'. Everything gets scrutinized. We really felt bad for starting the vote against you when you just said you went away for the weekend and you'd only be back hours before the day would close. But the evidence was stacking up so high against you we couldn't let it wait. You only now realize that's essential?

I hate more waiting! You should have reserved two posts. Or just use Poo's post.

Dumdidum *whistles* Nope, not much on there this time around. You're overestimating the power of IRC. But yeah, it got Draggy killed.

Well an argument can be made for a tracker seeing the intended target of the player they track even though they are blocked. But I guess here as well, they should be seen targeting nobody. I believed def on his night action results as I knew Hinck gets trackers, watchers, followers, and people who get in other people's pants confused from Werewolf. Nevertheless he nailed BobTCM by claiming he was tracked/followed though. The the reasons for reviving def were (1) that he blabbed his role to me on day 1 and (2) told me he'd most likely watch himself that night. In the morning I learned that Sandy and def had been killed that night. I decided to revive def because he played so pro-town on day 1 and I thought we had a killer nailed as he had 'seen' him. I wasn't sure at all about Sandy and even considered the possibility of him being def's killer (who got killed as well). It took me a while to make a decision and it was one of those occasions Hinck had to wait 8 or so more hours (Hinck's night) to get the day online even though he had everything written out and photographed (as evidenced by the timestamp on the thread when you moved it from somewhere else presumably to the Games forum ).

During the game I was discussing the night Shadows was block-killed with Draggy. def watched himself and saw Shadows target him. We both thought it was strange that def saw Shadows target him even while Shadows was being blocked by TinyPies. It just didn't seem logical to me, although I'm not sure how this should (if there even is a 'should' in this case) be handled. And whereas it was by no means the reason to vote off def, it added to our 'confusion' about him.

I really like the little vignettes you made Alopex. Nice work on those. As to adding roles and variations: at a certain point you're basically replicating mafiascum.net's role wiki. I don't know if that's what you're after, especially as EB users may consider it a complete list of roles, which is not the impression you want people to have because, as Draggy already indicated, hosts like to use home-brew or variations on existing roles in their games. But I can easily see these vigs being integrated into EB's mafia gamer's handbook (whenever that will be done and whatever it will be called then ) in the future.

Yeah, but still, I should have figured it out, damnit! Rufus originally had an inventor action (see his earlier post). One of the items was a one-shot block and I think he must have used it on Scouts on night 8. I successfully gave him this on the night I was killed. Originally we were going to hand out a knife, which would have killed Scouts instead. But you kidnapped Draggy the night before and (ab)used Rufus' inventor action to hand out a knife to Scouts to kill me ( ) and we couldn't hand out the same item two nights in a row. Everybody still following the night action swapping going on here? Good.

We thought you knew about your abilities. I agree, that looks a bit unbalanced ex-ante if you don't know all your abilities fully, but then again, the multiple revivals made us suspicious whether they all revived back to town or not. That was a clever move and frankly we should have figured the night action sequence out mid-game, especially after def was shown to be framed. Glad Rufus still figured it out later. Rufus got a hint from the frog that the 'identifying the remaining scum will be difficult', so we figured there would be a ninja and/or godfather left at that point (this was before babdboytje was lynched). We stopped using investigation orbs after that. TinyPies of course. You guys poisoned him for that reason, didn't you? Or do you mean an investigator? There wasn't. There were only the orbs that could be handed out and the recruitment by Rufus that could be used to investigate.

Great game Hinckley. I enjoyed playing it and following it closely after I was killed. It was awesome both in terms of presentation and setup. The scum were insanely powerful, but the town balanced that by three shots at revival and the masons who got a 50% chance at protection from night kills (which didn't save Draggy or me) and the ability to swap around night actions . But both instruments caused quite some paranoia as we knew the masons could be (and were) infiltrated and we were never sure that the revivals didn't also convert or offered the revived the choice of siding with the scum or something. As always, paranoia struck big time on the town side. Rufus, you played a great game and I know it has caused you some stress and insomnia. I really enjoyed playing alongside you and the rest of the mason group for a short time. Arjay, great performance right up 'til the end, but 'unfortunately' it became too obvious you had to be the infiltrator, especially with badboytje mentioning the masons and there not being a successful mason recruitment on night 7. If the scum hadn't blocked Rufus then, with hindsight, you would have had a much better case against CorneliusMurdock, who we already tried to recruit back then. As became publicly known already I was a two-shot reviver. I revived def and my remaining revival was stolen and used on Shadows the night I was kidnapped. Rufus tried to recruit me to the masons that night but I was nowhere to be found, the night after that I was recruited successfully. Hinck, I'm looking forward to your evaluation of the game.

I think allowing PMs isn't even the core of the problem. The emphasis has shifted more and more away from the day thread towards night actions, which allows for easier coalition formation behind the scenes. Sure, the possibility of roles like framers, millers, and insane investigators somewhat counters this tendency, but still it could be another reason for the relatively uninformative day threads. *stares some more at the day 9 thread* -
That indeed was the only possibility I could think of. You really made efficient use of the interior space.
-
This is one of the best modular creations I have seen. The color schemes of the buildings are very well chosen. Some highlights for me: the seats in the diner, the SNOT-staircase and the exterior decorations of the theater. Just the whole interior detailing of both buildings is simply brilliant. I'm trying to figure out how minifigs get into the actual theater though. In other words: where do the two doors lead to?

Well part of it has to do with me getting killed early on undoubtedly. But it was a kind of a mess, people with numerous night actions and more neutrals than townies.
