The Forest Mafia Confirmation & Discussion thread
Rick replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
That's long gone. I'm not pissed about that anymore. Shadows actually successfully duped me into voting off Big Cam, there was just one townie too many left in the end. Still it would be nice to actually win a game (not counting the really cheap win in ISM). But Hinck, thanks a lot for letting me play. I have and still am enjoying the game a lot. Now go Villagers, kill those Demon Legion bastards! -
Happy Birthday Santa Mike!

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
Rick replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Congratulations winners and everyone who passed Mafia School. Sandy, the narrative and especially the pictures were great. I enjoyed all the effort you put into the creations and the photography. And damn, you students talk a lot, especially in the discussion thread. -
If you read carefully what Cameron says, he never claims Cara was actually investigated twice. Cameron said that the first time the investigator might well have been blocked. Only the second time the investigator was apparently not blocked. That's not the same as a 'personal' bodyguard and simply refers to a general protector variation. And I find it very hard to believe someone in this town claiming to be searching for the arsonist has her own personal bodyguard assigned throughout this. Her claim already is extremely hard to believe, but this on top of that makes it simply sound like a load of demon crap. I read over it before, but the fact that Cara claims she targeted Booker before we all knew the arsonist action would pass on is simply ridiculous. We were all under the assumption that the arsonist was a neutral back then, yet Cara investigates whether Booker burned his own house down some nights ago. This is an even stronger lead than her not investigating the claimed firefighter on night 1 and really makes me think that Cara is not who she claims to be and we're definitely onto something here.

Well, that would exclude being blocked as a reason for the investigation failing. So it must be something on Cara's end that makes her unable to be investigated. That role would make sense if the arsonist is a neutral character. However, Edgar's claimed role is already an anti-arsonist role. But I agree with you, the arsonist was either always a Demon Legion role or was passed on to the Demon Legion after Felix' death, which means Cara would be no longer looking for the one lone arsonist. This makes her role claim a little suspect. Hmmm, if I'd be looking for the arsonist, I would be most suspicious of anyone claiming to know of the arsonist on day 1 (before we'd even seen a arson) and I would definitely have investigated Edgar. It is strange that she has not done this at any point... Hmm, in that light her choice of targets is 'convenient' indeed. Good observation. I would much rather follow conclusive evidence, but as half-way trough this day no other evidence has surfaced, I believe we just have to follow this 'lead'. Cara being unable to be investigated at night coupled with her plain odd choices of people to investigate, makes me... Vote: Cara Cow (badboytje88)

That's weird indeed that one of the villagers appears to be immune to investigation. I agree that this likely means she's up to no good at night and if this is the only lead we have to pursue today, I'd be willing to follow it. But would you mind sharing what's so strange about Cara's night action claim and her choice of targets?

Three new townspeople arrived in the mail today. Thanks CopMike and EB.

Substituting the 'l' in 'outlaw' with a capital 'i' (instead of substituting the capital 'o' with a '0') would have made it harder to notice.

I told you everthing I know when I came back. Don't tell me your overslept that morning. I was kidnapped and held in a dark place for the third night and the following day. I can only assume it was the Demon Legion who captured me. And now that they've done the same to Booker, I don't think there's any other option really.
-
I agree with Cameron. We really had no other leads to follow up on yesterday. On the (small) bright side, we have confirmed the cause of the 'Demon Legion' reading on Helen. It is somewhat re-assuring that the investigation result Booker presented could probably be trusted in the absence of the framing attempt. And even better is that there was no arson attack. I really hope someone was blocked, because this would be our best lead to the arsonist. If this action is not allowed to be passed around among the demons that is... Also, there was no black wand killing. We previously suspected those could be occurring every other night, so - despite not having his allegiance - I hope by convicting Sheldon, we got rid of a Demon Legion member.

They had the PotC and Cars licenses as well, so who knows what might happen?

Hello Kitty! You had me thinking this was an April Fools joke, but you're actually celebrating the launch of the new Hello Kitty line, aren't you?

Do you have any Fabuland? So you've moved away from LEGO entirely after starting that Mega Bloks forum? And if it's LEGO only you're selling, does this mean you won't give away that 2 x 2 trans red tile?

Mafia School: Escape From Isla Paradisa
Rick replied to Sandy's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
A cop is a role in a mafia game. Now don't make Sandy reconsider that 'Passed' stamp. And you probably should keep the role claims to the day threads. -
Are you going to be having an opinion on the more important issue at hand as well? Helen, I'm not at all convinced of you being a member of the Demon Legion, but you also have to face that the only solid piece of evidence we have so far is the investigation result against you. And you're right, the rest of Booker's 'evidence' is guesswork at best. But so far, we've been consistently following up on the evidence that was collected: the investigation of Lazlo, which lead us to convict Lauren and the killing of Benji coupled with the tracking of Sheldon lead us to convict Sheldon. There also isn't a real alternative for today and a random death and giving the Demon Legion even more nightly powers (as Marcellus told us on day 2, should a conviction not be reached) is not something to look forward to. So with a heavy hart I will have to... Vote: Helen Hippo (def) I hope this conviction will allow us to make some sense of the puzzling situation we're facing.
-
Indeed, there was an investigation result on Lazlo, which strongly suggested Lauren was a Demon Legion member. And Felix' conviction was clearly inevitable. But Helen leading the conviction of Lauren suggests she wasn't scum on day 3 and the fight after Helen's resurrection on day 4 and Felix' claim the day he'd be lynched suggest they weren't working together. Confirmation of a person not knowing something is kind of hard to come by... Agreed again, we can't really ignore the evidence. Just like we didn't ignore the evidence against Sheldon yesterday. But if we wouldn't decide for voting off Helen today, what do we do today? 'God' tends to mix those up as well. I tend to agree with Helen and expect the scum to have quite a few one-shot (or limited-shot) manipulative abilities.

to/too is my one weakness (now don't go looking for other mistakes ). I tend to mess that up too often when I don't double-check. -
Becka ... but don't get to close. Beware of the spontaneous combustion.
-
I doubt it. But then again, never say never in this game little town. I consider it more likely that the Demon Legion have some way of preventing us finding out the allegiance of a number of convicted townspeople (maybe also murdered, but that's less useful as there are no voting patterns to be analyzed and we haven't seen that yet), i.e. the 'scum janitor' I suggested earlier. What's even more worrying is that people with night actions are taken out. Benji and Piggy yesterday and Kenda today. Is someone talking to the wrong people or does the Demon Legion have some sort of investigative ability?
-
Same here. Same here. Thanks Mike!

It's the clearest lead we have. The MO (blown to pieces) is the same as the wand killer that killed Brigit, which clearly was not an act of self-defense (paranoid wand owner) as no one was seen targeting Brigit. And Sheldon so far hasn't come up with a plausible explanation for this... Vote: Sheldon Sheepdog (Quarryman)
