    Hey

How about Modular Buildings? 10182 Cafe Corner 10185 Green Grocer 10197 Fire Brigade ... and welcome!
  2. Welcome aboard! There are plenty of non-native English speakers around here. In fact, despite its name, I think Eurobricks has the best worldwide representation in the AFOL world.
  3. Congratulations on your grand opening. Where is the reception?
  4. The Green Grocer style fire escape is a nice touch. And it goes to show that broken 'droid arms' can be used to make nice desk lamps
  5. You may want to go with the color that LOOKS better Welcome indeed, and a short introduction in the "Hello, my name is..." forum is also always appreciated.
  6. None of the Modulars so far deserves anything less. Great review of a great set. The quality photography is very pleasant to the eye.
  7. I'm doing that to my advent calendar as well. The time just isn't right for these winter scenes yet.
  8. Too bad this seems to apply only to Lego stores and not S@H purchases...
  9. Cute little set, I like its predecessor (6373) a lot too, although I don't own any of the two.The new cycle/skate shop could really use a door Little off-topic: And I love those old boxes. I realize designing alternate models for the back of the boxes can be costly for TLG, but I'd really like them to bring it back to show the purpose of Lego sets as building sets and to inspire kids' creativity. But I guess the lack of small bricks and plates in current sets makes it harder than in the 80s and 90s to design attractive alternate models.
  10. If done properly - like suggested above: a 2 x 2 round with the same start and end point for the groves at the top and bottom of the brick on each quarter, but different patterns in between on each quarter - it would be ok. But it wouldn't be one of the bricks I'd want TLG to make desperately. These Megabloks 'pillars' look that's for sure.
  11. Not considering the 10197 Fire Brigade, clearly 7641 City Corner. I hope this poll serves as a stimulus to TLG to consider releasing more 'City Life' sets.
  12. That's an amazingly detailed and well-executed, not to mention HUGE, entry! That huge rock just calls for a smugglers' cave And... I especially like the classic pirates name of your entry
  13. Nice job. I agree on the earlier comment on 2nd versus 3rd floors: higher floors are typically lower than lower floors, with less spectacular window decorations.
  14. I like the color scheme and the fact that it is going to get a full interior on the gun deck. Looking forward to the end result.
  15. Welcome aboard.
  16. Surely that's NOT Lego. Must be some clone brand and I am proud to say I'm not expert on those.
  17. Congrats Joey. Now go buy the rest of the line.
  18. Congrats/gefeliciteerd, I voted for Armendariz, but your fish slapping and anchor testing scenes sure were fun...
  19. He's using it here (should make things clear, FIRE! ):
  20. A nice modular building, but - as Bluebard said - the bottom floor is absolutely great.
  21. Agreed, we need more accessory packs, like in the old days. There used to always be a road sign and a 'foliage' set around.
  22. Next to Bonaparte, I suspect Erdbeereis, Mister Phes, and probably Slyowl knew some more in advance as well. I'm even more curious whether this set was developed in response to the call for ideas or whether this was already in the works back then. Yes
  23. BB has the mast so close to the deck with the wheel that the ropes for the back mast can be used to climb up this deck... not very elegant for a pirate captain I admit.
  24. Nice, the first pics of the actual production animals (previous pics were prototypes, right?). These look very detailed, yet maintain that typical Lego look. I'm quite optimistic about there being a safari or zoo theme at some point using these. The zoo theme in Duplo has proven to be a theme with much potential, so I bet it would make a good City sub-theme.
  25. Yeah, you'd be the laughing-stock of your fellow spelunkers wearing that silly space bag together with your über-cool Lego head lamp.
