  1. As I said in your 'hell my name is...' thread already: excellent ship. It looks massive and menacing. Perhaps a bit bulky on the cabins here and there, but still well-proportioned.
  2. Thanks! I see you've also had your display name changed to Angel. Should be good for some more 'gender confusion'.
  3. lol. Makes me wonder whether all EB 'Ladies' are actually ladies... could be someone just wanted a pink username. Or do staff actually require photos before putting members in the 'Lady' group?
  4. Nice to hear about the set design process (even though I imagined most of what it would look like). The heat-testing part was a surprise though...
  5. "Either" I just usually don't buy the short-lived ones, because I personally want themes to have a long life. But I can't realistically see Power Miners, Space Police, etc. last forever. Even though I do really like the design of (some of) these themes, I just don't collect them partly because of their inherently short life
  6. Welcome, and yes... you have to! Also, you may want to become a EB 'Lady' (I'm assuming you're a woman/girl, given your name and avatar).
  7. Original idea. Nice execution on such a small scale. I like the water SNOT water technique combined with the studs up beach.
  8. Nice work. You certainly managed to capture a nice curve in the design. The gun ports are a very good design.
  9. Congrats. I like the design of the icon with the Lego dice.
  10. Nice ship... Quite some firing power...
  11. The looks, but also the techniques (suspension) are really cool. I like those cartoony exhausts with the huge flames. Now just make the containers transformable so that gun stations can emerge from it.
  12. I think PaB is partly intended to fill this gap. I ordered 20 'Modular Building' street lights a few years back from PaB, wasn't that expensive. Trees are available in only two varieties on PaB, road signs (at least the stickers or printed pieces) are still missing from PaB. But having said that, I would like TLG to release these packages again. It should bring down the costs compared to PaB and I also think AFOLs would stock up on them heavily. This could also work with other town accessories like benches, fire hydrants, fences, etc.
  13. This thread has really been an eye-opener on this issue. I should have seen that on my own... Indeed on the snack bar instructions/box art its quite clear that they've altered the pigtails hair piece. The lighter spot is clearly visible. I'm waiting for it to appreciate in value...

    Shipwreck Island

Now that this is kicked anyway and considering I missed it in the first place... this is a great scene! Much better than all the Shipwreck Island that TLG released over the years.

Dennis engine cabs look a bit like glass boxes indeed. I personally am not a fan of their design. Not too many Dennis engines running around in the Netherlands, but I guess the UK and Ireland must be full of them.
  16. Congratulations! One can only have respect for the ladies...
  17. There is no such markup for PaB, which has the same assortment of pieces, that I am aware of. I thought the cost of the manual labor was included in the price of each piece as these costs seem more variable than fixed.
  18. Just hit the 'quote' button on each post you want to quote and 'reply' at the bottom of the page. I don't think it works across multiple pages though.
  19. Yeah and Cartman only had to wait 3 weeks and went insane... maybe you can freeze yourself and have your friends unfreeze you in two and a half months. In comparison to the announcement of other Exclusives this indeed seems kind of early. But maybe they made the announcement earlier in response to the reactions to the end of Pirates.
  20. Welcome to EB! I don't need to know why 'Mad' , but I'm curious as to why 'Dutchman'? Dutch ancestry?

The ladder truck actually looks a lot like a Mercedes-Benz Econic ladder (ok, the windows aren't that big, but I think it's clear where the inspiration comes from):
  22. This one is 10-wide (the previous two were 8-wide) and these Creator sports cars generally are not 'high' enough to fit a minifig inside. To me the cars are only useful for parts when on clearance.
  23. That's awesome, why don't you enter this into the PTV2 contest (after taking some pictures in better lighting conditions )?
  24. I was also expecting a bit more... the idea is certainly a good one, but I would have also included the other side of the door if possible on 8 x 8. Furthermore, I think a scary face (I don't have any specific face in mind) might work better. With this one it looks like she's out to put a bullet in the head of whoever is standing outside. But as I said: good idea and nice execution (and with that I mean the building and not what's about to happen in this scene ).
  25. The facade of the building is really colorful and detailed and of course the water effect is a real eye-catcher. Very well done!
