This one? I have four copies (two still MISB) of 3402, which wasn't that expensive. Also it was in a relatively small adventurers' set not too long ago. Those two new City impulses seem pretty boring with the same face and two very common torsos. The pig which seems to be included in the farmer impulse and the travel accessories are good though.

  3. I only own this one and its a neat little set. The only 'problem' with it is that the placement of the black tube does not allow the yellow dish to fully reach the street level. Furthermore, I have to agree with the color and wheel issues (compared to the older versions) raised earlier.
  4. This is a cheese slope: They are in the new board games (the game with the pyramid has them in dark tan).
  5. You'd be broke if it was an official set Great work! Indeed, the church is already impressive, but your landscape is at least equally impressive.
  6. This is my favorite, although it makes it look like a storage in an old basement, instead of a warehouse. I like the posing of the head on the 'costume'.
  7. That's a really innovative way to use those car doors. Well done!
  8. Have you tried the lantern design with a bigger 3 x 3 dish on top?
  9. You really earn your title. Perhaps you should be the 'waaay too quickly posting nerd' I wouldn't call it that, but using yellow for skin avoids all such debates and is one of the main reasons why I dislike 'flesh' and all the other skin tones. I suppose this is the first set where different skin tones were being introduced: anyone know whether it was a licensed set?
  10. Dark bley base plates (at least in my copy). I'll just repeat my vote for Green Grocer again, which after reading all the discussion in here, I still favor by a small margin over the other three sets. I hadn't thought about the different interior and exterior walls of Cafe Corner, certainly a big plus for that set. Why do you make me choose?! I like 'em all! Continue the series TLG!!! Let Jamie do what he does best. TheBrickster: thanks for settling in a bit and bringing this debate to an end.
  11. Nothing that assures peace better than economic forces... Nice MOC! btw: your water is a little dusty
  12. Great job! I agree with Svelte that you should try to incorporate the chimney of the original. In that way you would capture all the essential elements of the original.
  13. Even though, I'm not into orcs or other fantasy factions, I really like your artwork, especially the big-head cartoony style. Feel free to practice your skills at my pirates or town sigfig - see my signature - anytime.

  15. Welkom/Welcome to EB!
  16. I'd say its generally a good balance, although I don't like the blue pins in the masts of my Brickbeard's Bounty. As long as it's sort of hidden and doesn't mess with the aesthetics too much, I don't mind.
  17. Agreed, I like the stairs a lot better this way and also the rooms are more 'filled' now. One thing you might want to consider (I'm not saying you should or that it looks better, just consider) is segmenting the top floors into separate rooms.

True, same holds for the police motorcycle and prisoner van, they've been around since 2005 (don't pin me down on the exact year), like some of the fire sets.
  19. Real heavy on the math Clever! So there is a way to produce your own post statistics. Can you now find a way to automate this process, so I just have to click a button in my browser and a nice graph shows up?
  20. I also happen to be such a curious 'nerd' like Big Cam. I also get triggered by the fact that there are four slots for tags (including one specific for a country flag) on the profile page and some mods seem to have more tags. A simple right-click > 'view image' or 'copy image location' (in firefox, internet explorer probably has slightly different names for the commands) on the tags then works to see that its actually one image holding four tags.
  21. As you see, there's something to be said for all of them. I had a really hard time choosing and I would rather not favor any building over the other. Even the 'little brother' of the series (Market Street) has its own special place. Furthermore, the Dutch/Belgian inspiration may make it a little more special for Dutch/Belgian people. Erik Brok indeed did a really great job, especially considering that he was restricted to the then available part selection in PaB/Factory.
  22. The early versions of the set had a printed light gray baseplate, later sets printed only the island on a blue baseplate apparently. I own a copy with a gray baseplate, but maybe the print for the blue and gray baseplates that were used for this set are also different.
  23. No, it doesn't... I call myself a Lego Pirate fan and I own about the same amount of sets, if not less (see a few posts up).
  24. I really should get one (*mumble* stupid misplaced 1 x 1 tiles on 32 x 32 baseplate *mumble*).
