This looks amazing. Replace the yellow by tan to make it fit with the Pirates II color scheme and this could be instantly released by TLG. I really like the addition of the dark-red accents everywhere. The addition of a full cellar is also really nice. Only point of criticism would be that this doesn't directly fit in the contest theme, sure there's no pillaging or other violence going on, but it doesn't breathe peaceful times like some of the other entries.

Now that I see the picture of the 'pot': you could even fix them to the pavement by using using the center hole of the pot on one of those 2 x 2 tiles with a technic pin on top, which should then replace one of the pavement tiles.

Stop licking your minifigs! I have one Brickbeard with a less 'full' gold print compared to my other Brickbeard, but that was an out-of-the-box difference and certainly not as bad as the example you show. I guess my advice would be to handle minifigs by holding them from the side (by their arms), because I can't imagine any other cause than grease/moisture from fingers. As been said before, muskets, but also ship rigging are made out of softer plastic and require some care/acceptance of more wear.

In an older topic on this same issue, we agreed that it's probably best to manually adjust the time to a different timezone than your own... For example, I use GMT, even though I'm actually in CET. I guess it forever remains a mystery.

That's 'cause a topic with lists of armies got merged with the 'show-off' topic...

Awesome modular building. The dark-tan and brown color combination works really well. The (dinosaur?) pieces being used as plants is really ingenious, the pot is nice as well. The diamond motif really popping up everywhere gives a sense of harmony to the whole structure. And the inclusion of the revolving door is certainly well-done (much better than TLG's airports). Shopping bags look really exclusive too. Are you considering making a full interior? One thing though: how do you get to higher floors and to the roof? Or is that the privilege of a rich Sheikh in his private helicopter? BTW: I had the same fate planned for the handful of fleshies in my town as your mannequins.

That may not be so straight forward, because TLG doesn't own the parks anymore. But maybe they retained the rights to the concept of certain rides. Anyway, theme parks may be generic enough to be produced without a license (only specific rides may have to be licensed).

WIP: Achille and Guerrière, French Frigates of 28 guns
Rick replied to BrickPerfection's topic in Pirate MOCs
The deck really finishes it. It looks really really good. If you keep up the pace you'll have a big fleet by Christmas! -
Curious! It should look even better when it's less wide than a City truck I wouldn't be able to offer a better solution for the windscreen, it's just always a shame when Lego pieces have to be modded, although this is one of the least unacceptable things you can do to your MOCs.

I wouldn't be in favor of this option. While I certainly think TLG should take good ideas from the past, I would definitely not like them to literally bring out copies. The current line of exclusives is excellent and I wouldn't like them to be (partly) replaced by Legends.

Thanks! That's a nice cannon design. From the photos I somehow thought the barrels were not smooth: must have be the lighting.

Now that I look more closely at the pic, there seem to be three different 'lava pieces'. So, they must have something like that planned with them...

Bluecoats: 1 Governor Broadside 2 ('Harbor Sentry') Officers 4 Captains 9 Soldiers --------- 16 Total Redcoats (from 6277): 1 Admiral (not the original torso, but a 'regular' redcoat torso, and face ) 1 Captain 2 Soldiers -------- 4 Total New Redcoats: 1 Governor Broadside 2 Captains 6 Soldiers -------- 9 Total (the crew of 10211 Imperial Flagship will hopefully be added in January 2010)

Those canons look nice, but I can't seem to figure out the parts used to build those... any close up pics of the canons?

Welcome to Eurobricks. Maybe a link to your MOCpage would help ... and indeed a good place to start (and to avoid annoying the staff over here ) is to read the guidelines and tutorials in Milan's post.

Really nice civilian set, every town needs one. However, I would really liked it is TLG would have made green recycle bins on wheels for this set, instead of using the standard waste bins. The mechanism with the droid arm is a little flimsy. 6693 Refuse Collection Truck has a much better mechanism. It's also a much better classic town comparison, if you ask me. But TLG should really do an 6-wide version of the 6668 Recycle Truck, which you use as comparison, though.

That Eruptorr looks MEAN. Can't really see a general use (yet) for those new fire/lava pieces on the head.

This is what Lego customer service is for. Call them or ask for replacement parts on their service website.

Sounds good, be sure to post it on EB when you're done.

Yup I agree, nicely photographed and nice selection of colors for the shirt of the singer.
-
Maybe you've seen it without the tape ... and that's also the only thing I don't like about the MOC.
-
I'm not a fan of all the violence, but luckily there's plenty of good building in this scene. My favorite is the city wall.
-
Seconded! If TLG would allow Jamie Berard to spend a few days on this, I'm sure he would come up with something good. edit: But we're going off-topic (sorry, realized this only after actually posting)...

The blue one also looks surprisingly good considering the amount of basic blue included. I like the modesty on the details. A full street with the same level of exterior detail as Green Grocer might be a little too much.
