This is simply outrageous. We're living in a free country sir, and whatever you're trying to protect in that secret base of yours is certainly not worth the life and liberties of the citizens of Alabatha. I still can't believe this is happening -- one day we're living peacefully and paying our taxes, the next we're being intimidated and life sentenced to a desert island? This is not the America I worked for, and I'm deeply disappointed at how us loyal citizens are being pushed around since the start of this mess. I would like to pry out the object stuck at the top of the bell, but only if the action seems reasonably safe. And we're supposed to trust you about the hospital, when you have been holding back information since the start?

Interesting topic. I wonder if for some people there is a relation between the last set they bought and the dark age happening in the first place! For me, the last set was certainly not a very exciting one: 1867 (400 piece Basic Bucket) ! I wanted basic bricks as I was planning to bulk up my last pre-dark age 'MOC' (see here) but it never happened. Sex, drugs and rock'n roll took over!

Yes, was Mrs Jefferson also part of this secret research facility? Was Alabatha already infiltrated by commies 5 years ago? Possible, possible. I would like to explore the roof looking for anything that could have been left or dropped by the attacker. I would however make sure not to step too close to the edge of the roof or parapet if there is one. I will also take care not to let anyone approach from behind at any time (however dodgy that may sound).

I would love to join in! The setup sounds terrific and I finally got over my heartbreaking defeat in Eurodina! I'm ready for more action!

(oops delete the last line, I was confused! )

I'm stepping in tactfully. James, let her go. They will take good care of her, she is strong and will fight to survive. We need you here with us more than ever, we have little time left to find the enemy. And hem... the name is Jessica.

Very interesting explanations! With a new Knight Bus to be released in 2011, I look forward to see whether TLG will have modified the set design in order to use fewer purple pieces or (as Nabii just mentioned) use other colours to visually separate larger purple sections. Anyway, while I'm frequently complaining about TLG always using the same boring primary colours for [choose one: city houses/cars/Technic/Creator sets], I understand that it makes more sense in many ways. The same white or red part will be used in many other sets during the year, while the sand green one may not. Also, kids just won't have as much fun playing with dark tan, sand blue and nougat than with the more vibrant 'firefighter red', 'police blue' and 'construction yellow'. Luckily there are AFOL-oriented and licensed sets that use a more interesting and varied colour palette.

This is very bad... I hope she will survive. So there is a secret bunker somewhere in those tunnels. We were so close to the truth. Do I remember anyone in town named Brandon?
-
Please Miss... I can't remember your name, but you must tell us who did this to you! Did you see him? How did this happen? I would like to use my shirt to stop the blood loss, if relevant. I would also like to encourage the lifeguard to speak before it's too late.

Animal Farm? That's an interesting book! After reading it I couldn't help but looking at my pigs and chicken in a different way! The author was openly critical of communism, so I'm curious as to what the bookmark points to. Perhaps there are inscriptions in the book? Is there a name written inside the cover?

I would like to examine the bookshelf. Could I have a description of the content of the bookshelf?

I agree about moving upstairs.

Problem with collectable minifig's prints
Fugazi replied to Bailey.'s topic in General LEGO Discussion
It's funny that you should mention the banana... Generally, the collectible minifigs accessories have new part numbers presumably because they're made in China out of new moulds, regardless whether they're identical to the previous moulds (like the wrench, to name just one) or slightly different (the turkey/chicken leg). The banana doesn't have a part number at all, so it's as if they are still using the old mould. But it's probably just a matter of not including the part number in the new mould, although nowadays most parts have a part number or at least the LEGO copyright. -
I don't think it's likely a tunnel would lead here, but nevertheless I would like to check the floor for signs of a trap door. Are there any names on the firefighters helmets? I would like to pick up the helmet abandoned on the floor and look for an ID. Also, can I see any spare tyres and wheels for the fire engine?

Exclusive Train 10219 Maersk Train (Exclusive 2011)
Fugazi replied to paul_delahaye's topic in LEGO Train Tech
This is terrific news! I missed the previous North American-style modern trains (BNSF, Super Chief...) so I am looking forward this one. Just to give a little background information for those who aren't familiar with American railroading, Maersk is not a rail carrier as such, and doesn't own locomotives. However, the Lego model is still largely accurate in that over the years a couple of locomotives were painted in Maersk colours for promotional reasons. For example: http://atsf.railfan....76blackwell.jpg (EMD SDP40F) http://www.railpictu....1232674013.jpg (EMD GP60M) http://www.railpictu....1151168400.jpg (EMD SD40-2 -- similar to the Lego model but 6 axles) I must say that the Maersk livery looks terrific both on real-life and model locomotives, so I just hope that the livery doesn't rely on too many stickers to achieve a smooth look.- 379 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Fugazi replied to eiker86's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Interesting preview! I suppose there are only 9 minifigs because it's a preview, not because future series will have fewer than 16 different minifigs? Anyway, I like the idea of fleshing out previously introduced 'themes', like the cavewoman completes the caveman, the Godzilla suit goes well with the King Kong one, the Egyptian woman after we got a pharaoh... In my opinion a different type of clown wasn't really necessary, but the pie is a welcome addition to the limited variety of Lego foods! Can't wait for more details on this new series. -
Well we must find a way in. I would like to go round the building, checking whether any door (including the garage door) or window is unlocked. Are there any crates, bins or other objects outside the station that could hide keys? Oh and is there a fire escape ladder (or stairs) from the second floor?

I didn't know Dieter personally, but I'm greatly saddened by the news of his untimely death. He contributed a lot of his time and energy to Eurobricks and he helped make this community the special place it is today. He will be missed.

Could we please have a general description of the fire station? Number of floors, entrances, any vehicles still present.

I see. So you were targeted for kill, blocked and watched last night. You certainly did draw lots of attention with your 'horizontal hustling'! So have we decided where to go next? I was thinking about my house, but I'm open to other suggestions.

A vigilante, huh? Funny that this presumed vigilante would choose to target a potentially useful town member, maybe our only investigator if her word is to be trusted. A great asset, or a great danger. Wait a minute, if what you're saying is true, then why didn't Dolores go about and seduce someone last night? She had every reason to. Something doesn't add up.

Dr. Bloodbrick's Asylum - Sign In/Discussion
Fugazi replied to def's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Wow! I have been catching up on the action in the last few days, and I must say that both the players and the host are doing a terrific job to make this game a very entertaining read! I'm surprised at how well the Sinister have control of the game right now. It should be obvious by now who most of them are, yet the Insane don't even attempt to vote them out! There must be lots of shenanigans going on in the background that confuse the hell out of the Insanes for this to be going on like this. Anyway, I can't wait to read the conclusion, which is probably coming sooner than later! Good luck to all! -
Oh boy, what kind of blockade is that... The guards can't even protect themselves, let alone protect us. I'm so glad to see you back Krista, I was afraid something happened to you! But hmm... have we met before? Maybe you should tell us a bit more about your life here! I think we should start moving quickly, with two days left before X2KP there's no time to waste. We haven't investigated my house yet, nor the Fire Station and the Hospital. Are there any other buildings we should also cover? The Hospital seems like a place where we could learn a few things, but I'm also eager for you to check out my farm, maybe there's something over there that can help prove my loyalty.

Trying as hard as I could, I can find nothing seriously incriminating in anyone's actions so far. Chief Phelps is probably being framed, the lost badge clue is too blatant to be believed. So I'm withholding my vote until more comes up. Beware of those who are turning us against each other.
