  1. Galen considered the remaining tentacles, the strongest Aquos had. There was still plenty of oomph left in the beast, and this batle was far from over. OoC: I will likely be offline for the next 2 days while I'm travelling back home, then my participation levels should go back to normal.
  2. "That hurt! So much for daydreaming." OoC: Shouldn't the mug on the round before this one have provided me with some gold? And I still have SP 1, from the Chimera Headdress. The Leather Armour was already de-equipped.
  3. "Of course Lycan, you can use the armour if you wish to." Galen pulls the leather armour from his pouch and throws it to Lycan.
  4. Galen looks at his whip in disbelief. "MIssed again? Stop moving for a second, stupid tentacles."
  5. "Sounds like a plan. Though I'm a bit worried by your wounds, Sylph. I hope that we don't trigger any special damage again." OoC: My gold! Where's my mug?
  6. "One down, seven to go! I hope we don't run out of Phoenix Essences before that!"
  7. Now Extra Corny Fugazi was so last year and had to be refreshed, Corn was the obvious answer! From Rick maybe? Also updated the list. You collectively owe me one, the previous update was back in August!
  8. "It's unbelievable how often Nostrums have failed us during this quest. I'm starting to think that the Town Hall merchant is selling spoiled consumables."
  9. Galen didn't think of himself as a coward most days, but attacking two tentacles from the front row was tempting fate. "Sylph, is that your final word?"
  10. Welcome to Eurobricks samar. Have a look around and explore the forums -- you will notice that EB is structured by themes. If you have a Technic related question, it's better to ask it in the Technic forum. I will move your topic there shortly.
  11. Galen jumps as a Rubber Band materialises in his hands. A note attached to the item reads "To Galen Woodward so that he may never be annoyed again -- Father Grogmas" "That's so thoughtful! Thank you Father Grogmas, I hope that you didn't bring anything to those nasty Proggs. Well, whenever there's a lull in the battle, I would like to equip this new item in place of the Hide of the Wound. I can't wait to be able to equip more artefacts."
  12. Father Grogmas was very generous this year, thank you Sandy! And thank you so much Pandora for thinking of Galen and coming up with such a great idea! And thanks Endgame for supporting it! Dannylonglegs' suggestion was also very thoughtful and useful, too bad that I could only get 1 present! I'm also glad that some of my own suggestions made it to the players, I hope you find the gifts useful!
  13. OoC: Sorry to have missed the exciting intro leading to this battle! Happy New Year! Galen didn't utter a single word while the party was discussing with Aquos. He remembered their previous encounter with the filthy beast -- Beatrice's dark egg, and his own life almost taken in one cruel blow. Galen had no pity in him for the blind monster. He deserved war worse than simply being blind. He deserved immediate death for what he had done and what he still planned to do. Galen would like to prepare for battle by taking Smelling Salts, Nostrum and Mead if it's still possible to do it. Otherwise he would like to use the first round to take a Nostrum.
  14. Moving this to the Action forum where it belongs.
  15. "Volatile venom... it's cheap, but I don't see this being very useful for us. Well I guess we will be on our way to meet Aquos, when everyone has completed their purchases."
  16. I don't understand the purpose of this topic. Should you want to reopen it please PM me with more details.
  17. Dear Father Grogmas, I have been really good this year, notwithstanding the killing of a number of creatures big and small, the theft of gold and valuable items from undeserving victims, and the occasional dirty expletive. Okay, I haven't really been good, but I'm only asking that you have a thought for my friends -- even though a Stretchy Rubber Band for me would be really really awesome! Besides, I may even interest Beatrice in some hot bonda.... um, never mind. The heroes I'm fighting with really deserve some presents for their sustained hard work in one of the longest Quest ever. I think that Sylph would do well with a Lens of Speed Reading (suitable for any class suitable for scrolls, allows a single scroll to be read in addition to a normal action, accessory). He has a free slot now and could cast his magic while still using that marvelous bow of his. Johon has had more than his share of bad luck in battle. Please give him a Dragon Scale (A scale pried from the hide of a dragon. Deals Lucky-effect and Blessed-effect) to help him turn his luck around! Elgar would surely love a Greasy Sausage (Raises maximum health by 2 permanently), while Lycan could use a Level-Up Mushroom (Raises level by 1 full level when used) to close the gap with the rest of our party. To Alexandre le Chevalier, always short on cash, I wish you would send Mercutio's Blessing (consumable, when applied to a weapon every successful hit reaps 1 gold -- permanent, cannot be stacked, can be used by any class) Then I wish you would also think of old friends from quests past. To Nyx and Rufindel, please send a Back to the Roots Talisman (+1 HP, +1 SP, +1 ether, +1 power when worn in a party including another Quest 0 old-timer) in memory of shared adventures and first steps together. And dear Cronk should receive a Shaken Can of Coke Bomb (20 damage to all enemies). Just because he's a noble Paladin doesn't mean that he can't have fun once in a while! Thank you Father Grogmas! PS: Oh, and to Sorrow (who I don't believe I have ever met) please give a Trial Brew, because it's quite unlikely he will ever be able to buy one himself!
  18. Welcome to Eurobricks, Hannguard. Animations should be posted in the Brick Flicks and Comics forum, regardless of the theme. I will move your thread shortly.
  19. "Interesting hoods, Mr Rihts. I will probably have a closer look at your wares before we leave Luosh. For now, I only need some consumables -- I will buy 1x Grand Potion, 2x Smelling Salts, 1x Phoenix Essence and 1x Soma" (total 12+30+30+65+55=192 gp). Galen wonders how Beatrice is getting on. He's ready for the customary visit to the Burrow. OoC: Since I have de-equiped my leather armour, my SP should be 1 now.
  20. "Well Mr Rihts, I think your best option is to gather your family and follow us to the Town Hall where you should be safe until we clean Luosh of all the invaders. The bridge to your manor has fallen, so we were looking for another way to reach the shore. Do you have any suggestions?"
  21. Galen thanks Sylph and proceeds to strap the glassy hide over his back after removing his leather armour. The hide is surprisingly light, although its relative rigidity will require some getting used to. Galen tries throwing his faithful dagger at a wooden beam and feels that the hide enhances his arm movement, making it faster and steadier. The dagger flies with unprecedented speed at the beam and penetrates it at such depth that Galen has to ask Elgar to pry it out of the wood for him. He grins at the party while the dagger disappears in a fold of his cloak. OoC: Yes please. "You are the Rihts, I presume? Mrs Rihts will be relieved to find you safe and sound. You don't appear to have been hurt by the... visitors, have you?"
  22. Argh. Just checked my browser, I don't have the original post anymore.
  23. The battle was challenging (considering the number of Phoenix Essences used! ) and entertaining. And the loot is excellent too! On an unrelated topic, I do have a number of Grogmas presents to send/suggest, but I need more time to think about it. It will be done before the deadline though!
