Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"See where your arrogance led you, Wound. You have suffered and made people suffer long enough, it's time for you to leave this world." And with a lash of Murkwood Thread, Galen ends the evil creature's life. OoC: Unless anyone has unfinished business with him. And Endgame, my health should have gone back up to 25! -

Galen pulls himself up from the hard ground and grabs his whip. He felt vulnerable now that the effects of the Nostrum had faded away, but the fight was far from over. "I'm attacking the Crystalline Progg from the back row." -
Galen hopes to spend Christmas in a Progg family some day, and live to tell the story!

"Fleeing? Don't get your hopes up Wound, we're certainly not that desperate. Your colourful friends are gone now, while Lycan is already being healed. You're losing ground." -

Galen clutched his chest in pain, the blade had inflicted deep damage. Breathing was painful, his energy was low. He felt he needed to rest in order to recover, but there was no time for that now. The heroes were in sorry shape, but so were some of the Proggs. He heard Sylph's orders, blue sorceror and the Wound again. With every attack he risked his life, but he trusted Sylph to make the best call considering the available options. They were a formidable team and they would prevail in he end. Raising his whip wearily, Galen prepared to strike with all the might he could muster. -

"Front row is a bit risky considering that I'm at half health right now. I could make one of these attacks from the back row with the Goblin Wrench instead." -

"Agreed with this plan. We can also consider spicing up our attacks with a little poison, though the Wound appears to be immune." Galen raises his whip and prepares to lash at the Wound. OoC: Is this quest becoming Regulus' Homecoming? -

Galen stood speechless at the impressive display of Progg force. Sylph would think of a clever plan, but what they needed most right now was good fortune. Any false steps and the heroes would start falling down like flies. -

Tossing the worthless knives, Galen opens the dresser's drawers. -

Galen eyes the dummies suspiciously. "Are these things... bleeding? I smell something horrific going on here. Could they be actual living beings, somehow being tortured in the most cruel fashion?" He didn't really want to find out right away. He headed for the dresser and picked up the glass knives. Rogues have a soft spot for knives. "Don't forget to ckeck out that chest next to the bed, but I wouldn't try out the bed even if I was dying for sleep. Because the dying part might come true, you know." -
There is already topic devoted to this sort of inquiries in the General Discussion and News forum. Moving this post there...

The main topic on brick cleaning can be found here. Plenty of good advice can also be found there. This will be merged in a little while. -

"Well Roni, I'm not sure how you made it here without making any... bad encounters, but you're coming back with us to the Town Hall as soon as we can make it there. In the meantime, please don't stray away." Galen rummages through the clothing items along the back wall. -

OoC: I will be away from home for the next 4 weeks, I will still log in every day but I may not be on EB as long as I normally am. I'm flying out tomorrow so if anything exciting happens don't wait for me, take control of Galen while I'm away! -

"I think I have one solution, but please double-check me before trying it on the bomb." Galen describes the moves (left to right). OoC: 4th row 3rd panel I think is a duplicate and superfluous. -

"Bastard" managed to mumble Galen through bloodied lips. This bomb puzzle wasn't straightforward. "I suggest that we find the solution before touching anything and wasting moves." -
Spiders and Proggs are not even remotely similar. Besides, given the opportunity perhaps Galen would have taken a liking to some female spider too.

"Um I see. I didn't intend to coerce you in any way. Well it's all the more reason to get rid of Aquos, he's just as horrible as his brother. Please stand back Beatrice, this is going to get ugly." "You should reconsider. Let's see you breed like a rabbit once we've turned you into pulp." Galen uses Smelling Salts, Nostrum and Mead. -

Galen was disappointed, but tried hard not to show it. "Ah, you're all the same! A guy is being nice, and you go imagining that he's about to ask for your hand." But making sure the Toxiprogg couldn't overhear, he whispers somewhere in the vicinity of what he thought could be Beatrice's ear: "Though if you ever tire of the same old same old Proggs and are looking for a night of hot, passionate sex with a prime human specimen, you know where to find me!" "Um... I can hold on to it for a while, but I'm not going to hatch it if you run away!" Galen was shocked at the thought of what... who was hiding in his travel bag. But Aquos' threats were not to his liking. "The nurse never handed anything to anyone. We took this egg from her to make sure she would cooperate without causing any more trouble." "Your soon to be orphaned son? Would you consider taking him and going back to wherever you're from, your brother and you? Your invasion has failed, Aquos. Rhodus is already dead, turn back before you lose even more. This is not your land and it will never be." -
Not happening. Too many mouths to feed! And imagine the biological fathers dropping in every other week-end to pick up the kids.

Galen timidly glances at the deep red eggs neatly arranged on the shelves. Maybe he should have asked before walking in, Progg etiquette was completely foreign to him. "They look... healthy! Um... Do you already know what... type of Proggs your children will become when they grow up?" Galen wondered how Beatrice would explain to her superiors that heroes had stormed the medbay yet spared her life. "Could you take them with you, or would that compromise their hatching?" He felt awkward and stumbled over his words. "I don't... wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them... or you... " -

On his way to the Hatchery door, Galen overhears Sylph reading from the Tale of the King. "Mythrogg the Invincible? Probably a legend, I can't believe that such a creature really exists."
