Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Um, I guess I still need some practice with this new blade. I'll go for a different strategy." Galen throws his Shuriken at the torch from the back row. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Still wondering how he managed to reach the surface, Galen curses at the sight of the glowing beast. "That torch attracts way too much attention -- we need to get rid of it first! " Galen attacks the torch with his Katana from the back row. -
We're not in the 80's Oky! Set numbers no longer systematically relate to the size of sets.

Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Maybe you could show them the way, if they ever listen to you. Your people seem to be divided in very specialised castes, but you might yet have a bright future in politics." "Ready when you are." -
Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"So erm... Toxiproggs, right? Do you have names, how should we call you? Say that we do rid you of the leaders of Proggdom, what then? Can you foresee a way in which your species can live peacefully next to humans, elves and whatnot, or are we just to expect another hot-headed Progg to replace the current leaders at the top of the food chain and start a new wave of terror?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Shaken by the turn of events, Galen makes sure his weapons and stocks are still with him then throws a questioning look at his party. "Are we sure these green... creatures aren't trying to lead us into an ambush? Are they trying to help us or is this just an elaborate ploy to get rid of us more swiftly?" OOC: Sorry for the delay Endgame! Thanks for having me, stats look fine. -
Ragnarök Now - Confirmation & Discussion Thread

Thank you TinyPies for allowing me to take part in your game, I thoroughly enjoyed the short time I played! More praise in the conclusion! -
Eurobricks has a dedicated Star Wars forum where all the SW MOCs belong. We will be moving this for you shortly.

Having almost run out of money, Galen looks up the available quests. There is but one note pinned to the Quest board, and Galen is not even really eligible. But he felt that it couldn't hurt to sign up anyway. As he was writing down his name, he felt uneasy at the prospect of meeting these creatures he knew very little about. Galen signs up for Quest 48: Death's Homecoming

Part colours are not physically marked on the parts. That's because the same mould can be used to produce parts in any colour TLG requires. In your example, 3710 is the part ID (only the design and not the colour), 58 is the mould number (as moulds are replaced when they wear out, this number increases over the years) and 2 is the position in the mould (as a single mould can often cast a number of parts simultaneously). In your photo the top plate appears to be (Old) Dark Grey while the middle one could be Dark Bluish Gray, the colour replacing (Old) Dark Grey around 2004. In LEGO parlance these are respectively called 27 Dark Grey and 199 Dark Stone Grey. Your best bet to identify a colour is still BrickLink. Look up a part, and check the list of colours this part was ever made in. If you know the set your part came in, it's even easier to determine the colour by looking up that set's inventory. Keep a colour reference chart made of real bricks for you to compare any unknown bricks. With time you will be able to tell apart similar colours without even looking them up.

You're becoming completely unreadable now. Are you trying to tell us that you're losing your voice?
-
What I meant above is: Maybe -- maybe -- that Gerrid prepared a part of her speech in a different voice in a room all by herself and simply repeated it here, but I'm still waiting to hear it from her.
-
I'm not saying that his speech was written by someone else, but that he wrote it somewhere else using input from his acolytes. How many times since you are a member of this great hall did you accidentally change the tone of your voice in such a manner? Maybe -- maybe -- that Gerrid prepared a part of her speech in a different voice and simply repeated it here, but I'm still waiting to hear it from her.
-
Sorry to quote you so extensively Gerrid, but why are you speaking in two voices? I hear you first sentences in your usual manly womanly voice, yet the rest of your statement is more subdued, as if you were borrowing someone else's voice. Or to make myself clear, as if you were simply copying a statement prepared elsewhere, perhaps in some scummy meeting place? Somewhere where you could polish you reply under the scrutiny of your cultist friends, until it becomes this perfect example of rational defence you served us with? Let's hear you explaining this one, with the help of your mentors. Vote: Gerrid (Captain Genaro)

Oh, I knew that throwing this case in the open would lead to interesting results! It is odd indeed, though perhaps as you mentioned privately not totally unexpected given the eccentric nature of Odin, our host. Technically, this role is very similar to that of a regular investigator. If Artemis compares her allegiance to that of her target player every time, it works just like a normal investigator -- except that Artemis doesn't know if the target is scum or neutral, or whether there are more than one scum factions. It does suggest that there's a third faction amidst us, and for a Town investigator it doesn't make any difference if the target is Red Scum or Blue scum -- since presumably in this example we need to get rid of both Red and Blue. Where this type of investigator is weakened is their inability to distinguish neutrals from scum. But if the neutral(s) are evil anyway (say Serial Killer) then it's actually a bonus for town and a handicap for said neutrals, as if they're investigated we would never believe that they're neutral and not scum. So the take home message is that if Atemis is Town (as the second investigator implies) then it's more likely that there are Unsuccessful like in blocked, or unsuccessful like in... unreadable targets? If Artemis was blocked, there's a worrying chance that scum are already on her. If she wasn't able to get a good reading, it would be interesting to know who she decided to investigate in the end. This is where your judgment and your previous experience with Artemis must be taken into account. You understandably didn't hint at who this person might be, so it's difficult for the group to decide for themselves. Did Artemis, or Demeter, actually answer the question? Did Demeter actually tell they were an investigator, or rather something else? They could be Role Cop, Lover, or possibly other roles that would help them confirm Artemis' allegiance. A different role would be more believable than a second investigator, though as mentioned earlier one could be naive or scum or third-faction. It's important to have some details before we decide to lynch a potentially valuable role (or two). Indeed, when an experienced Viking reveals PR names like that without any proof that they're talking to someone they can trust, it's really worrying. I don't get it. A Cult is a third-party, not a neutral party. What difference does it make that Artemis' role works like it does? As I mentioned earlier, Scum and Cult would be revealed as a different allegiance from Artemis, and we would lynch either with equal enthusiasm. The only difference would be the surprise in the morning when an unexpected allegiance would be revealed. I disagree -- it's almost as powerful as a regular investigator, as long as the investigator compares to a known allegiance -- themselves. Does it really matter if the target is scum, cultist or neutral? Who told you that Artemis was reluctant to investigate herself? She had no clue, maybe, but reluctant? I didn't read that in Hervi's play. Besides if she's not what she claims to be, she doesn't need to tell Hervi or anyone who she's really targeting. I think we're jumping to conclusions much too quicky, on the basis that there would be 'neutral cultists' among us. Any form of investigator claim is pretty risky for scum, considerign that claims can be countered by the actual Town investigator. It's not something that most scum would do on Day 1, to an unverified yet experienced Townie, without a very good reason. Has anyone else overheard this conversation and be able to support Hervi or Dragmall in this? The only mention on a cult in these walls has been made in relation to the events during the night before Day 1: It is pretty obvious that cultists and servants of Loki are one and same, and even Hervi agreed with that assessment: I don't think the Cult theory holds much water, as the servants of Loki wouldn't also be called cultists if there's another Cult at play. Oh great. At least this has been cleared up.

You are probably referring to the Soft bricks, which are apparently still available from LEGO Education though quite expensive.

Hmm... I can't say I'm surprised that Steinvoir was the target of a killer last night, given his experience. He has always been a fearsome warrior. But the guts! Steinvoir could have been the target of any number of night visitors, so it was quite daring to kill him off on the very first night. Not that it really helps us figuring out who did it. I certainly wouldn't put it past scum to lead a bandwagon, especially considering Jormund's words yesterday, replying to Danr: This was said when most of the votes were already in, therefore after most or all scum had voted (or decided not to ). This certainly doesn't disprove that scum were actually hiding within the bandwagon, but it also doesn't disprove that some may have been leading the lynch or follow on the heels of the leaders. But more importantly, at no moment did Jormund consider that there were other options yesterday but to lynch either Danr or Bergulf. For instance: Were Bergulf scum, I think Jormund would at least hinted that we should consider other options and not focus everything on those two. Or pushed more strongly for Danr right from the beginning. In retrospect it looks to me like Jormund was setting the table for both Bergulf and Danr to be lynched, in no particular order. So while I don't feel much wiser than yesterday, I'm still very unconvinced that Bergulf could be a follower of Loki.

Yes, unless your MOCs are inspired by the Architecture series the best place to post and discuss larger buildings is in the Town forum. Have a look at the Building & Town MOC index and Town Layout index threads for starters. -
