  1. Thanks for the heads up Calabar, I never would have thought to look in the Comics forum for brick cleaning tutorials! I'm planning to eventually add mini-indices to all the reference threads that have grown too long to be easily browsed, but that may take some time!
  2. The topic has been merged in the Brick De-yellowing discussion topic for convenience. If it's not convenient though, I may add a mini-index in the first post to navigate within the thread.
  3. Well the best evidence for a leak we have right now is that our blocker died the very night he was supposed to block you! No, the night kills argue against a leak, as the scum would have targeted someone other than Rufus had they known what the Vig was up to. Please see above and also Ensign Holloway's explanation. Aw shoot. You see, had the vigilante shared the name of his night target every crew member in the know would have been cleared of suspicion. That's because we can assume that scum wouldn't have targeted the same crew member had they known -- counter-productive. I mean Lt Daly, of course!
  4. The death of Lt Daly is unfortunate, but also very interesting. It does seem to put to rest my theory that there's a mole infiltrating the town core. Also, Lt Wilder, who did you tell about your target last night?
  5. I'm moving this to Community, as it's not really about LEGO... all the opposite actually! Nevermind, it's already been moved!
  6. Some great old bricks, thanks for sharing your finds! It's a hinge coupling used to connect vehicles and trailers in a number of sets. It's quite an un-LEGOish part and it certainly looks less useful than later two-part alternatives. But the cool factor is undeniable!
  7. Is there an answer to this?
  8. I think that a number of credible arguments have been made against Hornby. If all scum had to do to avoid lynching was to claim a role, they would always win. Of course, were it possible to validate Hornby's claim it would be much simpler. How do you suggest that we verify he's truly a protector? I wish he had been investigated already. Would you rather have him investigated tonight while we think about other candidates? Who do you think we should look at?
  9. Um... yeah. Besides, a jailkeeper is normally used to hide the identity of scum, in my experience. Unknown certainly means neutral -- like in the simulation. Or are you thinking that there might be a third faction involved?
  10. Because as far as I was led to believe Wright claimed neutral himself. Is that not true? Why would a townie claim neutral to anyone?
  11. Very enlightening. So this does clear Jones, although it does not paint him exactly as town either. This is quite revealing: Cleared by a neutral on the first night, then inheriting the role of said neutral? It does appear to me that Jones is also a neutral, part of Wright's team. Though if he really is an investigator, scum wouldn't need such a role. He might be the 'right' kind of neutral. Unvote: Lt Zachary Jones (Masked Builder) Wait, you're saying that McAndrews blocked Rockford on Night 3 (when Gordon claimed that he was blocked) but we were also told that Rockford was blocked on Night 4 when there was no night kill. Yet... McAndrews was killed on Night 5, so when was Wheeler blocked then? Moving on... Option 3 is unlikely if Hornby is town. Because if he's town Gordon would have been interested in finding out about him, and wouldn't have gone role-copping someone else with the consequences that 1) he would have had to make up a night result on Hornby, which would have probably been wrong, and 2) he could have been seen targeting the wrong person, an unnecessary risk. So Option 1 suggests that Hornby is scum, Option 2 is unlikely as no one bothered Hornby on Nights 4 and 5, and Option 3 only makes sense if Hornby is scum. Given the above, my belief is that Option 2 is what actually happened. Vote: Lt Thomas Hornby (Shadows)
  12. Day 3 or Night 3?
  13. Galen lies in a pool of blood on the cold floor of a far away palace, unconscious and unaware of the numerous battles still raging all around him. A pink letter pops out of thin air and flutters down to rest on his chest, next to his bloodied sword. Whoever requires Galen's help has picked a bad day to contact him.
  14. But he did tell you that he knew your alignment without question? Didn't he explain how? I wouldn't have trusted such a claim either. Anyway given that Falcon was town, this suggests that he knew you were town too, or he would have outed you instead of Gordon. If we are to take your word for it. Was Falcon the Town investigator before his death? That's not what he claimed, but it would explain why he was granted a one-shot investigation (or more?) as a stump. This further fuels my suspicion of Lieutenant Jones, supposed Town investigator inheriting his role from a neutral. I would like to hear more from Jones, and perhaps a little incentive is required. Vote: Lt Zachary Jones (Masked Builder)
  15. This begs clarification. Did the treestump investigate you too? Or was Falcon an investigator before he was killed?
  16. A Neutral? Perhaps indeed. Though I'm rather inclined to believe that the whole inheritance thing was made up, especially in the light of the one-shot investigation. We can't even be sure that Wright was truly a Cop, so anyone can say anything. It's actually interesting to note that Jones' claim came after the Town Watcher died, which made impossible any confirmation of his actual targets -- given that we also don't seem to have a Tracker.
  17. Indeed, how could I forget it. I should check my notes before asking stupid questions.
  18. I'm sorry to contradict, but a Vengeful is a killer not an investigator, check the library. It could have been a planned balance act from the start, but a planned role I doubt very much. Why would the Admiral give a dead crew member an extra investigation if there's already a mechanism to return the Cop role to us? The simplest explanation by far is that is was a compensation for the death of our Cop. To add to this, our beloved stump appeared immediately after I declared stump myself. Check the records! How planned was that!
  19. I missed that bit. Was there one?
  20. I realise that I have been repeating your concerns, only less succinctly. Nonetheless, the question stands. That does support the theory of a mole among the trusted townies. If there has been a conversion, the scum more than likely have targeted someone in a leadership position in the town core. Um, why do you think so? Scum protector is an unlikely role (I know something about it! ) and would probably only be balanced by a Serial Killer or a Bomb on the ship?
  21. Your theory is appealing, but before I cast a vote I would appreciate some answers to what appears to me like missing elements in this puzzle. Which of them have been cleared by investigation, and which as a result of your analysis? And did you ever mention how you cleared the others by deduction? You could be right, but I'm not inclined to believe only your word without further explanations. Wait, what? Was this mentioned before? This is pretty weird, in my opinion. Did Jones specifically mention that he inherited the role from Wright? Assuming that roles can be passed on after death in this game, why would a Neutral Cop looking to join the scum pass on his role and give rise to a Town Cop? Oh, it's possible that we have lost our investigator early on in this game, and I'm not even surprised knowing that scum had a Role Cop. And it nicely explains why our dear stump has had a parting shot at scum from beyond the grave, in the form of a one-shot investigation. But why give us a one-shot investigation if the Town Cop role was still with us? No, I'm not sure that we still have a real investigator. The claim that Jones inherited his role on Night 3 is fishy. Which doesn't mean that his night results are false -- scum don't need a real investigator to know who's who. By the way, do we actually know for sure that Wright was a Cop himself? Did he ever share his night results with anyone?
  22. This discussion would be better suited for the Star Wars forum, therefore I will be moving it shortly.
  23. What is there to comment on? You're presenting us with two candidates, without giving a single shred of evidence as to how you (collective you) have reached this conclusion. I'm not aware of any investigation results, I only have a limited knowledge of the blocker's results, and I'm still waiting for the conclusions of your cross-referencing system. So why don't you show us your evidence instead of making us beg for information? You're criticising others for summarising instead of bringing a case, yet it's exactly what you're doing. You want to know my theory? There's a mole within the town core, either a scum PR that has gone uncontested because the equivalent town role is long dead, or as a result of a conversion. Remember that Gordon was a role cop, so scum were perfectly aware of who they were killing. The mole theory would explain nicely why Rockford was protected the very night he was targeted by the vigilante, or why the same vig has gone unhindered every other night when he was targeting townies instead. My theory and yours are not exclusive. I can't point fingers at anyone since I'm not sure who is part of this insider circle. The only townies who have proven their worth to me are those who have brought us results, and they are dead now: Falcon and McAndrews. I would add Wilder to the list, as a Vig role is almost impossible to fake while there's another killer alive. Besides, he did target scum once even though his action was unsuccessful.
  24. Computer, scan the database for every mention of Lieutenant Thomas Hornby during the last 6 days. Cross-reference with 'rude', 'dick' and 'piss'. Um... I'm not perfectly sure I follow you, but I have a feeling that this must be figured out before it's too late.
