Ah, talk about great team work Siegourney! Have some knitted socks, my boy won't need them anymore!

Challenge: Complete

No need for bricks, huh? Challenge: Begin

Ah, that was a great nap! I dreamt of cooking pies, feeding cats and knitting mittens for my 40-year old dead baby boy Quentin... or woollen panties? I'm not sure anymore. All the sort of things old people like me do. Um, is it just my old eyes or is there a strange light in the room on the left? Beneath the leftmost arch? I would like to get closer and have a look.

And I thought the day couldn't get any more exciting! What started as a hunch of Patrick's seems to have escalated into a full blown comedy! Thanks to a dubious claim of turning serial killers into lambs with the help of a female snake, it would seem that the days of Melaena are over. I can only agree with the collective decision that Melaena is the most suspicious candidate today. Vote: Melaena Stools (CallMePie) Hopefully a successful lynch today will help us uncover other Cultists, based on the interaction of Malaena with the group.
-
Uh, what kind of plan is that? Roger, if you want to keep the town's trust don't ask for virgins to be revealed to you, it's your job after all to find them!
-
I agree is sounds far-fetched, and I would probably vote for Mehmet were it not for two details... Both the tracker and the protector who targeted Mehmet the same night claim 'thinking' they targeted him, which is rather peculiar. Unless everyone involved is scum, which seems unlikely, then it would appear that the results of those targeting Mehmet were altered somehow. I'm sorry if my phrasing made it sound so. Actually I meant to say that claiming Virgin is both and easy and effective strategy for scum -- most townies, myself included, won't risk lynching you now that you have shown your alleged colours. Father Tomato wouldn't be dead -- not by lynch anyway -- had he been able to claim his virginity yesterday. So claiming is probably the best course of action for an innocent townie, but we need to keep in mind that it really doesn't mean anything anymore. Yes, but there's mitigating evidence in Mehmet's case. As mentioned above, the protector and tracker results are puzzling, wouldn't you agree?

Red Moon 2 Confirmation & Discussion
Fugazi replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Diana Mantino present. And determined to avenge the death of my poor boy. Quentin, I was so proud of you! I should never have brough you here, this trip is the worst idea I've ever had. -
Frankly, I don't know why people even bother claiming anything publicly. It's obvious that every scum we will point fingers at will come up with the same story. That or an action that can't be readily verified. Well all of those who claimed to Mehmet would rather believe that they did the good thing, I suppose. That, and the risk Mahmet took of exposing himself by being in the heat of things. I'm not sure that the Cultists would 'rush' to the defense of one of theirs. Maybe try to shift the focus, yes, but not jumping in the fire like you suggest. There is probably some truth among all of your arguments, but so much hatred and strong words tend to diminish your impact, in my opinion. Has he not given anyone his results? Even if he found a Virgin? I'm sure he must have confided in someone, just in case he would die. Also, because that would help validate his claim down the road. If not, then I believe he should be questioned again.
-
I am baffled by the night actions surrounding Mahmet. The simplest explanation would be of course that Mahmet did target Patrick with an unspecified action, and that he is truly a Cultist as determined by a trustworthy investigator. What is troubling is that the tracker only 'thinks' having seen Mahmet. This suggests that something unusual happened to the night results. God is normally much more categoric. If the watcher was scum and trying to protect Mahmet, he wouldn't have come up with this twisted result. So I don't feel confortable voting for Mahmet given the current evidence. There have been other names suggested this morning, so I will go back and study the conversations some more.
-
Amen to that. Something tells me that I should go get some pop-corn.
-
Indeed, but I'm asking for your opinion as a confirmed townie, since half of the suspicions flying around are probably coming from cultists. Unlikely, agreed. Though that person can always pretend to be insane the next day. Not the best strategy, but perhaps one justified by tight townie cooperation?
-
This sentence neatly summarises our dilemma -- do we trust the investigator to be sane, and possibly lose another townie and a full day? I am aware that sometimes investigators wait until they have two results before going public with their findings, in order to avoid embarassment and possibly death if their results prove inaccurate. On the other hand, I understand that we're talking about the one who intends to coordinate actions for the whole town, so any suspicions should be voiced as soon as possible, as I mentioned earlier, before too much damage is done. Patrick, do you have every reason to believe that this investigator has been acting as a townie would and hasn't had suspicious behaviour so far in this predicament?
-
Despite losing two Virgins last night, there is hope that this town is starting to organise itself in order to fight back. The return of Harriet the Slut is certainly encouraging (not to mention entertaining). You both raise valid concerns. I'm sure that if any townie dealing with Mehmet finds him acting suspiciously, they will sound the alarm. And since there was a sacrifice to Imhotep last night, we can only hope that no conversion has taken place yet. You can't be serious.

Has anyone been able to find a 'Friends Loyalty Card' in their local Argos store? It's the card used to collect the Friends promotion stickers and send for a mysterious surprise. Since there are a number of different surprises all age 3+, I strongly suspect this is a selection from the recently revealed Friends promotional polybags. Anyway, the employees in my local Argos had no clue and no cards. Argos Friends promotion link

As you may be aware of, the Lego Club has launched a new edition of its magazine, titled Lego Club Girls. Here are scans from the first issue -- there is some Friends specific material, but also features that can be found in the regular Lego Club magazine. Front page Welcome to Heartache Heartlake City Group photo A Friends Adventure! Forest Police Potter Sponge All-Girl Cool Creations! Games Creator And to cap it all, what else but the Lost Puppy game! All in all, a balanced content between 'regular' and Girl Lego themes. Was there a need for a separate Girl Magazine? Let's not open this can of worms!

Quite a lot happened during my absence. There's still some time left, I will review all the new information the best I can and cast my vote accordingly. Unvote: Gordon Bennett (KielDaMan)
-
You raise good points Gordon. Have we only met today? I could swear I knew you for some time already! I do look forward to hear about Stephanie and Emma, when this ordeal is over! I will consider moving my vote to another target if a better option presents itself. I understand your cautiousness, though of course being himself shouldn't clear Mr. Leplot of suspicion. Same goes for the others who are keeping a low profile 'as should be expected of them'. I am inclined to believe this story, in the light of the confusing rule #1 that the Gods bestowed upon us.
-
Right, catching up on the conversations. What do we have so far? Mehmet and Patrick arguing most of the morning. While they have been pro-active as townies should, I find interesting that a few voices were heard clearing them of suspicion on the grounds that no scum would want to attract this much attention on day 1. I wouldn't put it past anyone here to purposefully attract attention in order to reverse psychologise us. Others have been less than helpful. Mr Leplot, Father Thompson and Mr Ittaq even got votes on the grounds of being mostly silent. Having known some of these people for some time, I can tell that being silent is part of their nature and as infuriating as it may be, it doesn't mean they are cultists. Ms Farago has shown suspicious behaviour, but also a reasonable rebuttal to the accusations -- as reasonable as anyone could provide, given the lack of condemning evidence but also the absence of a proven record of pro-town deeds given that this ordeal barely started. I can't bring myself to vote for her right now. Mr Goodenarde's unhelpful comments have also been duly noted, and I hope he will focus more on content in the future -- if he survives the day. That said, I can't confidently vote for anyone. But I will follow a hunch and vote for someone who I hoped would have been more energetic and pro-active today. He hasn't been silent, nor really helpful, just the right average attitude that wouldn't make his stand out in any way. Perhaps I'm wrong in suspecting him and I hope that he will rise to the challenge of this predicament, there's still plenty of time for that. Vote: Gordon Bennett (KielDaMan)

Well we obviously still haven't heard from Ossie or Is, but there's this slightly odd comment they made this morning (emphasis mine)... Is there something we might have overlooked in our chatter on the way to this place?

Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
Fugazi replied to Siegfried's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
+1 to GhostFan for a smooth trade, thanks again! -
Ah, had a much too short nap but here I am again, ready to tackle the harsh reality of being stuck in the desert with a bunch of bloodthirsty madmen -- not to mention the Cultists. That's a valid thought, but let's not assume too quickly that both of the smart folk are townies and should be working together for the betterment of life, the universe and everything. As others mentioned, I wouldn't put it past scum to be very active on this first day of our predicament in order to cast sand in our eyes. I'm suspicious of people starting to defend one another so early in the game, and I think this is something we should be looking for in order to smoke out scum. On the other hand, Mr Fitzwilliam and Mr Attabar both seem to have supporters, but they can't both be scum unless they're treating us to a very elaborate faked argument. Perhaps neither of them is scum. Perhaps the scummiest are those who try to keep the focus on a fight between two townies, which will keep fingers pointed away from them? Just thinking out loud here. Um, thank you for your views on the current events. Very insightful. I will keep them (or you?) in mind when voting time comes.

What did you mean by this statement, Nadir? Like what?
-
This is a moving and convicing statement. I shall forever stand at your side, Sir! Hmm indeed. Isn't it always the same dilemma? No risk no gain. I agree that we should be pointing fingers early so that the accused have a chance at defending themselves instead of rushing a vote right before nightfall. It could make the difference between lynching a cultist or losing a townie. Ain't you contradicting yourself, Sir?
