  1. Mellifluous, such a typical Scottish name! And the Clan Murgatroyd, so well known for their courageous deeds, and their prowess at the Highland Games! We haven't even heard from everyone -- not that it would necessarily lead us anywhere. Besides Mehmet's (perhaps innocent) lapsus, nothing trips any alarms this far. Why don't we bring out the booze and get naked, that would certainly untie some tongues?
  2. Ha! No way that we're going to let you Back Siders any us. Any of us. Anyhow. That's such a nasty thing to do.
  3. So what exactly are we supposed to prevent the Cultists from doing? Outnumber us, I presume?
  4. Yeah, but I'm certified bug-free. What the Swallocks am I talking about? Must be the sand giving me a butt rash.
  5. Naughty Mehmet, why do you always have to bring up mathematics? Wait, I'm a Hoare, not a slut. Not to be confused.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Nicholas Hoare, a dashing and wealthy young man looking for wild adventures of the opposite sex in the hot desert sand. My manly looks can't fail to attract the attention of the ladies in this group, but I ask that my valiant deeds are all you judge me upon. Now let's have some tea before heading off to slay the damsels and rescue the dragon. Or something.
  7. The inventory is also available on BrickLink now. 4625
  8. Don't you hate it when people judge you on your spelling rather than your intillect!
  9. The 6 colours were mentioned on S@H indeed, with an image of six coloured bricks. As far as I can tell, (light) Lavender isn't found in any of the current wave of Friends sets. Neither is Spring Yellowish Green. Their continued presence in the LDD palette suggests that these colours will show up eventually. On the other hand, maybe TLG decided that so many new colours weren't indispensable and cut back to 4 instead of 6? That would make the Lavender boom box a uniquely coloured piece.
  10. Not a promo that I'm aware of. None have ever been available for sale on BrickLink, which makes it unlikely that this polybag was publicly released.
  11. Great customisation work, darkdragon! Although I wouldn't myself go through all this effort to improve my Friends figs, I would like to see an official release along these lines. I wish there could be a second generation of Friends minidolls in the future, with increased poseability. I'd actually be more interested in knee joints than independent legs, and functional wrist joints -- although the slender Friends arms make this a very unlikely prospect.
  12. Thank you for the detailed and entertaining review, Hinck! This is the theme I expect to spend the most money on this year. I'm not sure what use I will make of the minidolls, but the designs and part selection more than make up for the absence of minifigs, for me at least. Besides, with the plethora of collectible minifigs coming out every few months I'm just about to have a minifig indigestion. Generally speaking, my only slight disappointment is that no more male minidolls are included in the first wave, but perhaps subsequent releases will include some more -- if market research shows it would be beneficial! Falicia! I'm surprised that the copyright year on these would be 2009... Having settled on the minidoll design by 2009 shows that they had the theme in the works for a very long time! The move to standard plates instead of baseplates is a good thing, IMHO. The standard plates are much more versatile (and sturdy) although I don't expect them to be released in the 32x32 or 48x48 format. When I was a kid I really hated how I couldn't use my baseplates on top of more Lego.
  13. Then here's what really happened!
  14. I'd love to join in for fun in the sun! 1) I have played in the following Mafia games: Eurodina, Werewolf, The Forest, Belville, Baritones 3 and Prison Riot. 2) I expect to be fully available during the next 6 weeks. 3) Worst (and most challenging) Mafia moment: near the end of the very long Eurodina Mafia, we as scum were about to win when God served us a nasty surprise: my alignment was secretly switched to Insane with the winning condition that I should kill all, town and scum. Turning on my fellow scum with whom I had worked for so many days was the hardest thing, and scheming all alone behind the scenes to get the scum killed in the most expeditive fashion without giving town a victory was terribly stressful and exhausting for a first Mafia game. And the worst part was getting killed by a paranoid gun owner when I expected to have succeeded at last. Ah well, it was a great gaming lesson.
  15. Yes, Australia not Austria. Wrong extension, sorry! Previous posts edited.
  16. You're welcome! Release dates in Australia might be different from other parts of the world, I have no idea. Simply put, your mileage may vary.
  17. A small update: Mr Toys Toyworld (Australia) lists Series 7 available in May 2012 and Series 8 (8833) expected in September 2012.
  18. I have now updated my trading list with a few Series 6 figs now available for trade. Please have a look, I am mainly looking for a Series 6 Spacewoman some Series 5 minifigs.
  19. Have a great one SlyOwl! Looking forward to more of your beautiful work in 2012!
  20. I have started working on a review, but figured that with advice from the Academy I would make it a much better one! Can I join in, please?
  21. Sounds fun! It certainly would be great to have you Siegfried as Community coordinator, good luck! I would apply if I knew anything about dialogue!
  22. I've been so busy lately I didn't take the time to give some feedback now that the game is over. It certainly turned out to be a different style of game than Red Scare, but I found it very enjoyable. Characters were well fleshed out and the buildings and props were top notch. What didn't work so well was that by sometime mid-game there was nothing left to be discovered. We kept investigating homes where there was nothing to be found. Did you want to teach us a lesson Bob, that clues were not to be found in physical places but rather in discussion with one another? Or maybe we missed something vital? At the end, that James and Amber were the killers came as a surprise, because there was no strong case pointing at them over someone else. I guess that answers my previous comment -- we were expecting concrete proofs that X was killer or Y was not, and there weren't any. Just hints pointing in many directions, and we had to choose/guess which one was the right one. In Red Scare the mafia-like night actions had us talking and comparing results. This time around there was less incentive to do so. We spent too much time searching for clues when there was nothing more to be found and we should have focused on the players themselves. Ah, I thought I was just being lucky! Congratulations Peanuts, great game for the scum! I understand it must be difficult to pull off but you did it well. I'm looking forward to finding out the locale of your next mystery!
  23. Bunny house?
