Disco86 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 The story about Markus Montari and Paul Brickstorm at SoNE continues. The story so far: Join the Empire - Markus1984 Recruitment - Disco86 Swearing In - Markus1984 Foreign System - Disco86 Last Firing Exercise - Markus1984 Invasion Preparation - Disco86 The Invasion Begins - Markus1984 Endor Construction Site - Disco86 Mission Endor complete - Markus1984 Back from Endor - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Prehistory - Markus1984 Searching in the Outer Rim - Disco86 Cantina Visit - Disco86 Memories - Markus1984 The day after - Markus1984 Briefing - Markus1984 Operation Zero-G - Disco86 The Zero-G Transporter has left the hangar and was heading towards the rebel space station. The transporter moved slow and his engines were the only noise interrupting the silence. Over there is the station. I was just wondering if this transporter got stealth or cloaking technology ? Don't know anything about it. But I am sure it is equipped with something like that, how could we reach the station unseen without it ? I don't want to be grilled by the station's defence, even before getting a foot on it. Booting the jetpack and ... IGNITON ! The defence towers seem to have a malfunction... or nobody is operating them. Easy work for us... well, maybe this was a little bit too easy. Let's see what awaits us inside. Security over... ride ... successful, open sesame ! I am missing a rebel welcome shootout. Oxygen and gravitation check ? Both systems working, we can get rid of those bulky suits. Ok, I am contacting the team over the comlink. They need to come over here and get us some blasters from the transporter. Come on, everybody grab a gun and then MOVE !!! I thought this was a secret mission, maybe we should lower our voices. Even if I can't see any life in here, I would prefer not to get the attention of whatever is in here... Quote
Mr Greeble Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Can't wait to see what happened! Great job! Quote
markus1984 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Great work man! Better than the wip images and the story is also very good. Now i can start with my part . markus Quote
Tariq j Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Great build, I'm practically speechless, can't wait to see the next part of the story. Quote
Kodan Black Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Saw this last night, but had to wait until today to post so I could fully digest it. The story is really captivating. Ok, first I'm so jealous of how many bricks you have! Wow, the size of your builds is just staggering. The mini-station in the first picture is great. The second picture with the suits floating up is cool, really gives you a sense of being in space. The third image has such a wonderful sense of movement from the jetpacks, while also having a sense of tension and reveal with the inclusion of the platform about 1/2 way through the image. The airlock door is very well done, some great greebling inside and also the piping is well done and seems logical. The way you two collab on these builds is perfectly done and at such a high quality level. The story enhances the images and the images enhance the story. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Absolutely cool - both story and build. And extraordinary photography. I like the jetpacks in action! Quote
goatman461 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Great shot framing. This build must be massive. It looks like you put a lot of dedication into getting all of these different backgrounds. The minifig posing is also really cool, especially that superman pose in the foreground of the fourth shot Quote
Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Judges have awarded you 4 XP! Quote
James Wellington Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I can't help but applaud you for your great work, along with everyone that does these little story-builds with you. I just wanted to ask where you get minifigures (in high quantities) such as the 2014-15 Stormtroopers, you have quite a few of those, and they only come in two sets, both over 150$ and they only give you 3 stormtroopers (both sets), and all your Imperial Officers, Navy Troopers, Crewmen, etc. Quote
Disco86 Posted January 19, 2015 Author Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks a lot for all your decent comments ! And special thanks to the judges for the points Ok, first I'm so jealous of how many bricks you have! The story enhances the images and the images enhance the story. Well, having a lot of light grey bricks is a must have for building Star Wars, so I have collected a lot of them And special thanks for your sentence about the interplay of story and pictures, that is what we want to archieve. The minifig posing is also really cool, especially that superman pose in the foreground of the fourth shot First one mentioning it, you get one of our imperial cookies for that I just wanted to ask where you get minifigures (in high quantities) such as the 2014-15 Stormtroopers, you have quite a few of those, and they only come in two sets, both over 150$ and they only give you 3 stormtroopers (both sets), and all your Imperial Officers, Navy Troopers, Crewmen, etc. I have bought the Star Destroyer two times, so I got a lot of Stormtroopers and crewmen from these sets. Also I am buying a lot of figures at bricklink, they are quite affordable there. And these figures are not really loosing their value, so it is always worth buying some. Quote
