Actually I'd be happy with just the lemons. Chocolate is OK as an emergency ration, but it's a horrid food source.

It's a board feature that we don't use. It allows us to charge for premium services. If you really want to use it send me some money and I'll try to give you something of value in return. (It may or may not be premium.) If not, just ignore it. We have no plans to charge for anything on EB in the short term.

I wish I could! All I'm saying is that we should be open to the possibility that "SILVER SAVES THE SOUL" may not just be a tip about the sword protecting our lives.

Perhaps "Soul" has greater meaning than the obvious?

I spent over an hour last night trying to work out a anagram that would direct us onwards since you kept impressing the importance of it... but Silver Saves the Soul doesn't cut it to me. All it seems to be doing is re-enforcing that the sword is important, which I thought was rather obvious. For this reason I discounted this answer and ended up ignoring "silver" too! Ahh well, I'm sure all will be revealed.

While I get this vague impression from the depths of my soul that this seeming useless phrase is the correct anagram, how have we confirmed this? Isn't it weird that we're all just getting a mysterious confirmation without some way proving we are right? This place is freaky.

Actually it is. Here's Sieggy's free tip of the day; look more at the intent of a rule (law) than the exact wording. You might be interested to know that while I for the most part wrote that, the staff has tried to improve it, and it's hard. Even if you give exact rules people will always find a way around it, making you add and tweak... until it ends up so long that you need a lawyer to understand it. For this reason even after much discussion that part has remained much the same. Getting back to the intent, the key lines are "If your sig is bigger than your average post, it can confuse someone reading a thread" and "please try to limit the space you use". In other words, try to be subtle and don't be bigger that you need to be. You may not be aware, but your sig plus the other aspects of the site (such as avatars, scrollbars, borders...) was wider than many screens. But most of all, you can hardly say that... ... is limiting the space you use. We know your name, so why does it need to be in your sig... and why so big? It'd still be readable at 25% that size! To be honest it's been annoying me as well. Note also that we do say from it's a "rough rule". I'll re-open this in case you want to make a reply... but the decision already has been made. I'm just trying to help you see things from our point of view.

After that I tried for a while on the idea that the second word was "reveal" and I got; shovels reveal suits ...or if I ignore the spacing.. soviets reveal slush reveal volt uses hiss Ah! He had links to a YouTube video in his sig which linked to a site that (with little explanation) said that if you pay a one-time price the same as a full price guide you have free games and movies forever. As you say, it's obviously rubbish, but I wasn't sure if he was a fool or a spammer so I haven't banned him...yet. (If you want the link I can PM it to you, but I won't post in in the forum.)

I'm interested in this as well. Currently I use a Netbook for that kind of stuff, but obviously a tablet would be better. I'm not convinced that Apple is actually bringing one out though. The CrunchPad was looking quite nice for a while (JooJoo ) and excited many people so if Apple brought out something similar it could be a huge hit. You've sold me! I was all for the Pre, but more and more I think Palm is dead.
