Bionicle.
-
I thought you would. How could I say no to a Hinckley mystery game?
-
I'll give it a go.
-
At the time of those figures the Bionicle forum didn't exist; it was Technic, Mindstorms and Bionicle. Thus, castle made more sense. Now that we have separated the two they might fit in... but seriously; who wants to discuss them? Do remember; if this forum gets Ben 10, it'll get Galidor as well...

Topics and images from LEGO Kids Inner Circle really should be kept secret; hence the name. While it's great to hear about this stuff when you're not part of it, it's even better to encourage TLG to continue to seek outside advice. If the participants can't play the game as agreed I'm pretty sure that TLG will just go back to local research, and that is to the determent of us all. Please try to keep things as they are by helping TLG to help us help them. Which in the end helps us all.

Thanks for the update, and three cheers for the continued excellent support from TLG!

Indeed!

Space based Licensed theme known as "Star Wars"; Space? No! At first "Theater", then a sub forum, then it's own. Action focused Licensed theme known as "Indiana Jones"; Action? No! Licensed. Period based action theme based in the past known as "Prince of Persia"; Action? No! History? No! Licensed. Car based theme known as "Ferrari"; Town? No! Technic? No! Licensed. See a pattern?
-
I see the point, but to divide a theme up into sub themes would be just as confusing as the current arrangement. Ultimately you can't please everyone. At least with the current rule it is clear; "Any non-Star Wars licensed theme goes in Licenced."

In many ways the forum itself is it's own history! Aside from the mysterious EB1, EB2 and EB3 which we have no record of (rumour has it that EB1 and EB2 were sabataged and EB3 vanished just after going public and will return in our time of need), everything else is here, including the first topic!
-
Now I feel stupid. A perfect example and I missed it!
-
Indeed it's not! It was still on the first page and the last post was only 2 weeks ago. In this case I opened the page to remind myself to post here as I like to see practical LEGO applications. It just took me this long to get around to it! (There is no firm rule about posting in old topics. I'd consider a topic over six month old to be "old", and even then it's OK to post providing you have good reason to do so. If we didn't want people to post in old topics it would be a small matter to turn on the auto-close-topics feature... )

Yes, as 3D Brickthing says we have no plans to close this forum. If (and only if) the Bionicle successor clearly fits into another theme more than Bionicle and this forum becomes inactive (that is no posts in say a month) then it'll be merged into "Other". But I can't see this happening. I think the new theme will be made just like Bionicle, just a different story, and it'll fit in here just fine. Yes, that is the current plan, but we can't be sure until more details are known...

Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales!
Siegfried replied to Darth_Legois's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Yeah... the highlight is Brick Street Customs, and perhaps the LEGO® Pirates Tic Tac Toe. -
Thanks for the review! This looks like spare parts to me! I don't think much of the model, but the parts look OK. It'll be a good chance for me to get one of those new canopies.

Since I'm so late posting there isn't much to say! I will note though that it took me a while to realise that the taxi was LEGO too! I think it's because the model seems to be smaller than it is, and thus I think the taxi is unbuildable! Maybe I just need to go to bed... Great work all round!

7020 Army of Vikings with Heavy Artillery Wagon
Siegfried replied to mikey's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I liked this set, but when this set came out I had only recently exited my Dark Ages and I had comparatively loads of Viking already as I ended up with every set from the first wave. Thus I skipped this one... and I regret it now as it was a good deal. If I'd known there was not going to be any more sets I probably would have felt different. I especially love the packed refreshments! Thanks for the review. -
Odd model, but great parts! Oh, I'm looking forward to seeing a big MOC with those metallic silver tread links! I'm unsure what I think about this new water angle. Seems weird to me. At this stage I prefer last years Power Miners sets.

Darn, it seems no one had any ideas! As it turns out, I'm planning on doing something similar soon, probably on a smaller scale. I need it for my comic so I want it to be modular and also easy to digitally replicate. I don't have any firm plans at the moment, but I'll post my results. First off I am planning on making a hanger style area too, somewhat like what is done in the Home One set. That shouldn't be too hard... It fits in here. I'll probably "base" some of my Star Wars models in mine too!
-
Cool idea! Shame you had to glue it, but model builders do the same! Are you going to re-use this for another performance?
-
Indeed! I found EB back in 2005 when searching for set reviews. I didn't join at the time because forums aren't really my thing ( ), I was trying to be subtle about my LEGO interest, and because the "Euro" part. I thought that I wouldn't be allowed to join! Eventually I noticed (via the flag tags) that there were many non-Europeans on the site, so join I did!

On this note, here's some free advice; don't use Windows Server 2003 as a desktop, especially if you have a NVIDIA card. There goes several hours down the drain...

It's so freaky seeing a set with so little colour variety! I hope those fig-stands will become common. I'll be buying this for sure! Thanks for the great review!
