  1. Has everyone heard about the accidental leaking by Sega of minutes from a SCEA meeting. You can read (and download) the full thing here, but to me the hight light is the mentioning of a PS2 emulator. I've been expecting it for a while now, and I'd just started giving up hope! Subtle! I stand by that point, and I'll take the time to clarify where in the guidelines it's mentioned. As I told you, 42% of your posts are in this forum....
  2. Very nice! Personally I think it looks best with just one extra floor.
  3. Indeed. It'll do nicely until we get around to making an "official" one. Thanks Eskallon!
  4. I don't really agree there. It has 10 cylinders, 7 valves, 2 pumps, a lot of hose... Low piece count maybe, but high expensive piece count. I love my 8455! I wouldn't sell it for less than $500 USD.
  5. Wow! This is great news! I would have never expected this. Looking at the pictures it seems to be a new mold. Indeed. It's much better than the Hauler too.
  6. Yes! They have been confirmed by TLG to be in the 8049 Tractor with Log Loader set. Read and see more on the TechnicBRICKs blog. To me the set itself isn't overly exciting, but the return of the pneumatic system is great news for Technic. It's especially important to note that TLG state that this happened due to popular demand from AFOLs! Discuss this great news here!
  7. Pure luck! In an eBay lot I got an (incomplete)... ...and I wanted to find the part number. All I could remember was that the set it came from had a 3 digit number. So I started "2" and kept looking until I found it!
  8. I was doing a manual search through my instructions to try and identify an odd part and I ran into this! It's (incorrectly) called "Jumbo Jet", hence the difficulty in finding it the easy way. It's probably too late now, but is this what you were thinking of?
  9. Not really... so I'll merge it.
  10. Did you use the clutch as recommended but not illustrated? I've tried something similar with another set and it's hard to make work. (I didn't use clutches as I didn't have one spare at the time.)
  11. I own a PS3 and it's used very heavily for games. Blu-Ray movies are a bonus, ROM chips cost a lot more to make, so it wasn't an option. Once production gears up Blu-ray discs will cost no more than DVDs did. It's going to be a long time before a 50 GB ROM (or flash) would be even vaguely competitive. On a related note, I'm moving in few weeks so I'm tossing most of my VHS tapes. Here's half...
  12. OK. This conversation is going downhill. Please try to not get into silly debates and also, please note that I don't find smarty-pants swearing very amusing.
  13. It's been posted several times in the Power Miners topic. Please check the relevant topic first before posting "news"... and in most cases posting it in that topic makes more sense. I've merged your topic.
  14. Both added!
  15. Classic Pirates. I see no reason for a licensed pirate line. POTC just borrows from other stories anyway so there's no advantage to us if TLG goes for this angle; all we'd get would be higher prices. However licensed products do seem rather popular, so there might be an advantage for them...
  16. You join here but you don't need to. It's strictly voluntary; if you don't need or don't want help just post your reviews!
  17. Nice idea! When I read this title I was actually expecting some sort of odd Technic man hybrid using parts from this head... Nothing special. After years of practice I have a system. First I stun him with a big bucket gun... ...and then I finish him off in the classic way.
  18. Darn. I'm not too surprised though; the ship hull design, while smart, was clearly an attempt to make as few parts as possible that'll be used well. Very similar to the Vikings hull; same front and back. Aside from that there's been a dearth of custom parts; the much loved palm trunk is one of the few that springs to mind. This all points to a short term theme. My big surprise parts-wise in regard to this theme was the cannon; I thought that part was long dead. At least its given people like me a chance to pad out their pirate collection at a better price. Yeah, I've had the same thought... and I don't like it.
  19. Yeah I know. I'll pick up the recent reviews later. I actually want to re-stucture that whole section so it's newest on top. Thanks just the same though.
  20. Added Classic Space sets from the start to 1985. Once again, if there are any set or review omissions send them my way! I looked around but I'm not claiming perfection here!
  21. But which one! The TV series one, the movie one, the new movie one, the next gen one... Perhaps he wanted to avoid favoritism! Really? I think it shows the reverse! To me it works a lot better than the minifig scale Star Destroyer.
  22. Well I don't think I was being mean, but I was aiming on being rude. Afterall, your statement was soon after the previous one, and didn't add anything more to the question. It was just a nag and I was trying to head off any further nags before we had a "Stacks-on-Stash". If the question has been asked, repeating the question is not necessary and is just plain rude. Give the guy some time. <Free life tip> Adding a positive smilie after being rude to someone doesn't make your post any less rude. It's like insulting someone and saying "only joking" afterwards, or making a joke targeting a particular racial group and saying "But I'm not racist". Feel free to ignore this tip. </Free life tip>
  23. Where did you get that from? All I did was say to give him more than an hour to answer a question.
  24. Phred brings us news of a friend of his who has made a different kind of ship! It even has an interior! Read more about it here.
