  1. Expecting some sort of reaction from me by spouting crap like that? Dream on. The only thing suspicious about me is why I keep boffing Sheldon. Let's stop wasting time making random accusations and get back to the process of finding facts. That's how we'll solve this, not by playing Cluedo. I search the Ice Cream cart for something other than ice-cream.
  2. Spot on. This is one of the many reasons why I wanted to have pre-judging. Yes Porty was first, so if in doubt for who-though-of-what the pre-judging will assume it was your idea first, but the MOCs are very different. Doesn't matter that much. LEGO string and rubber bands aren't exactly lifetime items. I can accept substitutions.
  3. I can accept rubber bands. I'll clarify that in the rules. ...and please Lipko and Porty stop the war. Yes Porty was first, so if in doubt for who-though-of-what the pre-judging will assume it was your idea first, but the MOCs are very different.
  4. Well at least you're slightly trying. This isn't a "dream", "believe", "want", "think" or "suspect" topic. It's not. Really. Stuff like that belongs here. People come to this topic expecting at least a 20% chance of posts being a fact. If I have clean up this topic again this week I'll close it.
  5. I mention it, but more in the context of admin work. I don't have a hobbies section in my resume. But I think if you're an advanced Technic modeler going for engineering jobs I think it could be relevant.
  6. Really? I count just two and one of those I resolved. But maybe I need to see a shrink.

  7. You're sounding out of character o-mysterious-one. Want a special hug?
  8. As an FYI for people who haven't been watching the way I've always run contests, the ending date is fluid. In this case however I do expect the entry to be substantially started for it to be valid. In other words, a topic showing a 50% completed model should be made at the very least. So there's no need to give up just because there's a week to go.
  9. Love it. I must confess that I was hoping for at least one entry like this.
  10. Drowning in a sea of Technic? If not, why not? It's the last week for you to get in gear and present (it doesn't need to be finished this week, just substantially started) an entry for the To sail the Technic sea contest where up for grabs is a Unimog... and we're not talking about the small one! We've got some varied entries so far... ...and we want more! So jump into the sea and get building!
  11. Yeah. Mines still together and it lives in that form. Very nice model too.
  12. Well first of all, I'll post here what I told danim; He's misinterpreted me on the "seeing" part. I meant that since I haven't seen the model I can't say for sure, not that if it can't be see it's OK. As for the lead weight I do think it's OK. To be honest I was in a hurry when I replied to that post and I probably should have said "OK, but a solution without it would be better". I myself have a collection of lead weights for MOCing purposes (especially with cranes) so that's why I was a bit more positive that I probably should have been. Also, the functions don't rely on the weights as such so I think this is different to, for example, using metal part reinforcement. Do remember that any assistance such as this will probably be penalised by the pre-vote so to increase your chances I do recommend not using anything non-LEGO. RIP motors.
  13. I could hold you if you like. I've got 5 minutes free. After much consideration.... I'm not sure who to trust. But I think... Vote: Chris Owen (Tamamono) ...gets my vote for his interesting interpretation of that vision. I'm especially impressed by his ability to put together powerpoint presentations in this kind of situation.
  14. Yeah. I just cleaned up this topic a bit.... but please guys Stay on Target and watch your six.
  15. Now we're talking! Explosives is one of those things that I do trust! Challenge Begin
  16. Fire the rockets!
  17. You are a politician. You're dead to me.
  18. You're avoiding the question; are you a politician?
  19. "At least one" That's really annoying. If we kill them all we could be 66.6% more evil than necessary. On the other hand we'll be at least 33.3% right! But seriously, what does that even mean? Are they politicians or something?
  20. EB has no rules on this, but it really is a case of common sense and courtesy. Such as If you find a MOC on a site such as EB or BB, it's polite to acknowledge where you found it and then post away. If you find a MOC on a place like Flickr or Brickshelf then do the same. If it was posted on EB first that's irrelevant. To me asking permission should only be considered if you find the MOC on the builders personal site or blog.
  21. ....and that's why I don't edit any of mine. So you don't have a good set-up anymore? I've got good lights now but nowhere good to put them!
  22. Pre-Vote non-Winners! These entries didn't make it to the final vote. 1. Two men in a tub Alasdair Ryan 2. Power Boat with Two Axle Trailer Thelonious monk 3. 23. It seems corrupted to me; too small. I get one frame.
  24. Ummm... err, so the answer was 1916? I discounted that one as I thought those parts looked like dark grey... am I wrong, am I irrelevant or am I just a poor loser?
