  1. I don't have words for how amazing this is. Everything is absolutely amazing. Everything. I like the use of multiple Gandolf torsos. Everything else I like has already been mentioned, so great job!
  2. Reminds me of the scene from Mulan when Shan-Yu orders the good guy to be shot.
  3. So much detail! I love the slopped snow, very nice! No criticisms here.
  4. The details on this build are amazing! I always knew you Empire groupies were soft at heart. Can't say we'll treat you the same way though. And I guess I'm going to have to play Shadows of the Empire...
  5. I really like your cyborg-Wampa! Great idea and execution of it. I think your pictures are a little grainy though, maybe try a lower ISO setting?
  6. Amazing as usual. I would like to guess that Palpatine is Santa since he has the eyes and red lightsaber. However, if I'm right, I would like to know why he's on Hoth? I really like the trans-blue cheese slopes in the cave. That's a very nice touch. One thing I would change is some of the lighting of the photos. It seems like you might have too much direct light in some of the pictures.
  7. Yes, please share with us how you solved that issue!
  8. Ah yes, I had forgotten to factor in your never ending desire for studless builds
  9. It's funny that people are seeing it that way since I actually finished the front half and then struggled with a good way to make the back half look good. I actually wasn't very pleased with the back half and all its cheese slopes. Though I am glad that everyone else is
  10. Ah. That must be from that one game that I didn't play that was popular at the same time as Rogue Squadron 64 was.
  11. Oh. My. Goodness! I love the inclusion of all the different Eurobrick members. Your snow technique is flawless and inspiring. I actually like what story you've included, so that's my 2 cents worth on that. And yeah, this build is definitely a winner.
  12. Wow! This is a great first attempt at a round tower! The door area needs a little work, but that's a normal challenge with round towers. The whole build is simple, but works well. Your pictures are improving also, but they still need some work.
  13. I see a one-winged-ship theme going on here
  14. I like the ship and you've done a good job with your story and pictures. However, I think it would be beneficial if you explained how this ship is not the Falcon and your smuggler is not Han Solo since at first glance both look very similar.
  15. Nice! This ship is really good. The color scheme works well and I really like the greebling!
  16. Thanks! Only the interior of the cockpit is detailed. The interior of the other half is useable for storage, but doesn't have anything interesting inside except exposed studs. Well thank you. This has got to be one of the best comments I've had from you yet . I agree with you about the cockpit hatch. If I had enough of the new reverse tiles I would have used those, but I only have 2 right now. I tried using the front side of the plate so I could add tiles, but the mechanics of the hatch didn't work when I tried that. And it was really important to me that the hatch was usable. Thanks, I think...
  17. Good to have you on our team! My favorite parts are the "frozen" protical droid and the sinking crates. Overall this is an amazing build!
  18. This is a great story and great build. Glad to have you on our side
  19. Very true. Good of you to note that. The tutorial is out of date, but at least gets some ideas flowing. It's not my tutorial so please, critique away!
  20. Very true! My larger builds never look as good on film as they do in person. I think if you can come up with a good back-story then diffinitely go for Challenge C! I think, since you are working with a smaller collection, that it shouldn't be much larger than 12x16 if that's what you already have planned. One thing I think that would help improve your builds (besides work on your photography ) would be to add a base. It doesn't have to be super fancy. Just takes a few extra plates and some creativity with your bricks. Slopes work nicely for bases but you can use other bricks as well. Take a look at some of the entries for the Challenge and see what others have done for their bases to get an idea. As for the place for the minifigs to stand, if you can get a central tower from the bottom up you can build a place for them to stand. It doesn't have to be flush with your round wall. You just have to be careful about the angles of your pictures so that the gaps don't show. Hope that helps!
  21. And of course, if you are in Mitgardia, there is the AoM challenge still.
  22. Nice build, small but great detail. Is Elessar's shoulder/neck/face piece a Brickwarrior's piece or is it System?
  23. Hopefully you got some good building tips on curved towers. I'm going to be working on one of my own within the next month or so. Someone shared this link with me awhile ago and it was very helpful, hopefully it'll help you too. Advance Building As for your color palete, don't worry too much about not having white. Just set your buildings in the southern part of Mitgardia where there isn't always snow. And there are a lot of stone castles that don't need any brown pieces. Just build with what you have. It's amazing what you can create with a limited amount of parts. If you are limited, just know that your builds might not be as big as some people's MOCs, but that's ok. Small builds have the ability to look amazing if you do it right.
  24. You keep saying this but I think we are beginning to win you over. Just give it some more time and you'll be building brick-built-creatures of your own
  25. I thought for sure someone else would have said it before me but it looks like I get to be the first: NPU with the legs for the window! Absolutely ingenious!
