  1. Aaah, that wasn't immediately clear from your opening post. Now the requirements start to make some more sense. And it explains the purpose of the program!

Finally! Some pictures That's a nice collection of sets you have (I also own a lot of 'em, especially the newer ones). I like the little scenes you've set up throughout your town and all the trees (must be very healthy air in your Legostadt). If you'd like to expand I suggest doing it to the left side of the park and maybe replace the lower-left curve with a T-junction (otherwise it is just a rather pointless drive around the park).
  3. Pfff, who has ever seen a black sword anyway?
  4. Cool! You need 1 x 2 cheese slopes in different colors!
  5. Just think back to the first comments on the Power Miners line last year (which also started with commenting on blurry preliminary pictures). There was a lot of criticism from AFOLs back then, but now a big group likes Power Miners and its lime color scheme which was despised by many back then. As I said before: let's just wait for the final pictures.
  6. Nice one, although the gun CopMike is holding is very un-Fabuland, where everthing is solved through talking and a good whacking every once in a while. I like the effect the white 1 x 2 tiles with bars give on the first floor (second floor in some countries ).
  7. Nice first post... at least I'm allowed to reply to this MOC

I am amazed how 'sure' you can be about sets based on a list of setnames! Just nitpicking, but here I assume you mean that you have "no doubts that it will" sell well.
  9. I also have a couple of gray round shield, 1 or 2 of them suffered the same fate Oh... and did I mention my two pitchforks?
  10. Same thoughts here... the Bricklink issue is pretty serious too and - unless they will be seperated in the Bricklink catalog - will bring down the price of the good minifigs too because it will turn into a lottery which one you'll get.
  11. That's one mighty fort. I really like the design of the governor's mansion. Although the sloped walls are nice, I don't like the way they attach to the rest of the build. But then again building the walls entirely out of slopes requires many, many slopes. Can't you alternatively attach them using 1 x 2 hinges?
  12. Not really a fan of the set (little to offer to an AFOL, except parts), but you did a really nice review, with the movies and alternate model. Bravo!
  13. Absolute classic that I luckily own... the minifig count is quite high for the size of the set. Four would have made perfect sense (a red, a blue, a black and the all green torso, which I always thought to be Robin Hood), but you don't here me complaining about that.
  14. That would make a good title (I hope it's OK to ask for titles for other members )
  15. Could also be the other way round: the pic that has surfaced right now could be a preliminary design and the actual line will be everything you've always wanted to see in an underwater theme. I'm starting to see a patterns: it always starts with one blurry pic, people speculating, enhancing parts of the imagine, then someone has seen the pics, others don't believe, etc. If I recall correctly, the next thing up is blurry mobile-phone pics of pages of the retailers' catalog, which also contains preliminary designs sometimes, so that should be good for another round of speculation. Ah, good times coming up.
  16. Hehe... Welkom/Welcome, maybe you should add 'The Netherlands' to your 'from'-field, now it only says Alphen aan de Rijn. I doubt many people outside the Netherlands will know where that is.
  17. Hey, don't kill my hopes for a S@H exclusive ship and/or dock set
  18. As neither a participant nor a judge, I'm also only reading these threads. I agree that the focus should be on discussing the MOCs and I get the idea that some people responding in these threads take it a bit too 'seriously' and can't really take a joke from the other side. Up to a certain point its fun to read the comments, but it quickly gets really annoying and it takes the fun out of the competition. However, I also do realize there's a thin line between funny and annoying and it can quickly get out of hand. However, I also don't really like your point system. Isn't it an option to moderate these threads more intensively. While I realize the staff has other (better!) things to do, isn't it an option to give the judges moderating abilities for these threads? I'm not sure whether this is feasible, I just try to suggest an alternative. As a final point, I also think a lot of the spam comes from the fact that only participants and judges are allowed to post in these threads, so it comes down to one, two, or three people chatting, instead of discussing MOCs. So, if there will be another 'tournament', perhaps the rules and whole setup need to be re-thought to prevent this behavior. But it's good that you take the responsibility of addressing this issue.

They weren't TRU exclusives in The Netherlands and I don't think they were in Germany either: probably only in North-America.
  20. Amazing work... I really like the color scheme.
  21. Small? It's tiny! Seriously, it's crazy that you call this small. It's very impressive... I really like the orange (yellow for construction vehicles was getting old) and all the techniques you squeezed in. Excellent work.
  22. Interesting thought... new figurehead contest? Are you sure you're not with a penguin fetish?
  23. That's 577 more than I have... my 'army' is only 10 Bluecoats. Although these posts make me slightly envious, I also always ask myself what I would do with so many minifigs. I'm still waiting for the day that someone makes a huge battle scene with their huge armies. Right now, they're just standing there... impressive, but... We have, well at least you have. The color combo really works well, the black, red, and gold on the new shakos and Brickbeard torso.
  24. Not much to add to what's been said: it's great! My favorite detail is the doors on the deck. I agree on the bow-comments though...

Oh man, that's but so true... as long as I'm not forced to buy it.
