  1. With the help of The LEGO Group, Eurobricks is proud to present a first look at the Friends Summer wave of sets. Reviewers Academy Teachers Pandora, Erdbeereis, Big Cam, and LuxorV review the first four sets. Check out all the reviews in the Town forum and stay tuned for more Friends reviews and more Friends Fun coming to EB this Summer. Thanks to TLG and to CopMike for making this possible.
  2. I don't think there was a lot of confusion about it being a Monster Fighters exclusive to begin with. All further discussion about the Haunted House goes in the Action Themes forum. Topic closed.
  3. Ever wondered how Vampyres escape from those pesky Monster Fighters? Reviewers Academy Teacher Clone O'Patra brings us an in-depth review of the Vampyre Hearse. Check out the review in the Action Themes forum.
  4. Thanks so much (I rearranged the title a bit too).
  5. A snow ball launcher of course. Last year's advent calendar also had one.
  6. No, we'll keep her Friends in Town.
  7. Friends is becoming immensely popular, so we felt we needed a staff member dedicated to the theme. Please welcome Pandora as the new Friends Regulator.
  8. Great work. The exterior detailing is great: I like what you managed to achieve using very common pieces and relatively simple SNOT techniques. The interior detailing is equally impressive. I particularly like the note on the fridge (or is that a LEGO magnet set? ) and the use of 2 x 2 round grille bricks as lamp shades.
  9. Great series of MOCs. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Thanks for sharing. I moved this to Special Themes as it's most closely related to the Architecture series.
  10. Yes, see this guide for the exact placement on straight and corner buildings.
  11. Please don't bump ancient threads. See our Site Guidelines and more specifically our rules on 'topic bumping'.
  12. Nice work. I always like it when builders take their time to make a scene 'come alive' like this. Agreed. I think it could make a nice entry in our competition.
  13. Yes, TLG is known for its good customer service. This review has a picture of the unopened bags.
  14. Happy Birthday Sieggy. Enjoy the fishcakes.
  15. Cattle horns have been used with its predecessor. For example:

Henrik Hoexbroe is busy creating some sweet classic cars for his "MegaMOC 2012". He's up to 13 now and planning to make more than 20. Follow his progress in the Town forum.
  17. You revived an ancient thread with your post. I created a new topic for you instead. For our policy on topic 'bumping', please refer to our Site Guidelines (more specifically here).
  18. He posted this comment to the LEGO messageboards. See this thread for more information.
  19. I merged it with the general discussion topic about the Minecraft Cuusoo set. In the future, please look for topics like this before creating a new topic to ask questions like this. Thanks.
  20. Indeed, and I'm looking forward to what everyone can come up with. The only rule change has been that new members can now enter. The way I see it is that, through contests like this, we might be able to attract builders who did not post their MOCs on EB before, join and become active on the site. All the other points addressed by the staff were clarifications. As far as I know, most EB contests (except for raffles) allow new members to enter, but not vote. I honestly don't quite understand what you seem to be getting so worked up about. We simply want as many high-quality entries as possible in this contest and if we can get a few people to join EB and enter then that's good for the contest and the site. It will be a 'rule' once voting starts. This is to avoid entrants asking their friends and family to join just to vote.
  21. Congratulations on obtaining Gold and becoming an RA Teacher. Over the past year, you've certainly become one of the best, and maybe I should just say the best, reviewer on EB. I really like the sets you choose to review and I always enjoy reading your reviews a lot. You have most definitely developed your own unique reviewing style. This review is no exception of course. I really like your in-depth review of all three models. Like many others, when the first grainy pictures of this set surfaced, I wasn't too excited about the colour scheme (mainly because it looked like regular blue). But the medium blue and red really make a 'fresh' combination that sets it apart from the rest of the houses in the CREATOR line. And it's not just the colour scheme. The building style also makes this house unique. I like the detailing that TLG is adding to these sets recently, while still maintaining the brick-built look of the CREATOR line. The highlight of the first model is obviously the shower, which you seem to have discovered too. I have to agree with your ranking of the models and I think that's mainly because of the slushie machine in the third model. Thanks for another great review of a must-get set for me.
  22. Thanks. I'll merge them instead.
  23. Please note that the rules have been changed so that members who joined after the contest announcement was posted are allowed to enter. Members who joined in May 2012 or later will not be allowed to vote for their favourite entries though.
  24. No, most importantly because we don't want to hamper your creativity, but also because it'd be impossible to 'enforce' rules like that. Just don't overdo it.
