There are four more weeks left to get in your entries for the Summer Friends Building Contest. You can enter in four categories and there are lots of Friends prizes and goodies to be won! Entries are due by August 31. Full details can be found in the Town forum. The Summer of Friends Avatar Contest drew many fantastic and humourous entries. However the raffle continues, and new entries are still being added. Don't forget to check if you're a winner.

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Sign Up Thread
Rick replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
As Pandora indicates, the game is designed for 16 players and of course we'd like to stick to that number of players. But that's not the main issue. We could always try to make it suitable for fewer players. Because we left signups open longer than planned, we can't guarantee that we'll have enough time to host this game right now. The start of the game will simply be postponed a couple of months, but we have every intent to host our Mafia School game this Autumn. We hope that the new students who signed up are available then as well. Should there be any spots left, we'll happily allow some players who have already played a couple of advanced games. Thank you all once again for your interest. -

There will be one round of voting as it's quite a bit of work to tally all the votes and I'm afraid that, after voting in the first round, some people might not bother voting again in the second round. There will be plenty of time to vote. Unfortunately, funds for these competitions are limited and we can't always offer more than one prize, especially when there are three categories. Please watch your spelling and refrain from silly replies like this. You're replying to a months' old post.

Please edit the opening post and present your two buildings as one (32 x 32 studs) entry. If you want the title of the topic changed, let a member of the Town staff know by posting in this topic (or by PM).

We're very pleased by both the quantity and the quality of entries for the Modular Madness contest. Just a reminder that the deadline is approaching fast and you have (a little under) 28 hours from the timestamp of this post to post your entry.

Pictures of this year's Winter Village set, 10229 Winter Village Cottage, have surfaced. Head over to the Town forum for more pictures. Thanks to GRogall.

Mafia School: Police Infiltration - Sign Up Thread
Rick replied to Pandora's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
In case it wasn't clear from the discussion in this topic, players who have played in advanced games (excluding mafia veterans, i.e., players with a mafia tag), are not currently playing in Bob's game, and feel like they could brush up on their mafia skills are welcome to sign up. Priority will be given to new players, but it looks like there will still be a couple of places available for more experienced players. Anyone who hasn't played a mafia game on EB for a long time is encouraged to sign up for a Mafia School game. -
Thanks for posting. I have updated the first post of the topic.

Let me guess: 1 x 1 bricks sideways?

Congratulations Oky. As you already have (more than) the maximum amount of tags for regular members, could you please let us know which tag the red flower tag should replace? Thanks. Congratulations to you two as well. Enjoy your new bling.

Since I posted the same question here over a year ago, I have found a quite simple solution. I put bits of clear tape in the sockets. You have to experiment a bit with how much gives enough friction, but it works. The same can be done for loose legs. Just stick tiny bits of clear tape to the side(s) of the legs.

Not in this one I'm afraid. That spot is still open. So, if you're a mafia noob and available at least 23 hours a day... and have an interest in play-writing: sign up now! -
Excalibur 2.0: Confirmation and Discussion
Rick replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
For example, if you're Town and have a power role (night action), you could use the wording and structure of the Role PM to confirm other townies with night actions. A Scum (or a townie without a night action) wouldn't be aware of the exact wording used in your (Town) Role PM. To counter this behaviour Hinckley used random role names in Steampunk Mafia. An alternative, for the host, is to disclose the basic Town and Scum Role PMs publicly. -
With his review of one of the most sought-after Classic Town sets, 6399 Airport Shuttle, mostlytechnic obtains his Gold Badge and is now officially a Reviewers Academy Teacher. Visit the Train Tech forum for the complete review.

Excalibur 2.0: Confirmation and Discussion
Rick replied to Bob's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
How rude. You didn't even ask how his server is doing right now. He may have really hurt himself and that he's still down, and will be for a while, doesn't sound good at all. Let's hope he wasn't carrying a big tray of beer.
