No, it's happening to many of us. I think it's being looked into.

Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming
Fugazi replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Galen eyes the porous wall suspiciously. He looks from the wall to the hatchery door and back. Finally he speaks. "I like her, but I don't really know her. She might still have in mind to kill or capture us. We shouldn't leave her alone, she may have a way of sending sleeping gas in this room, or who knows what else." Nodding to Sylph, Galen pushes the door of the Hatchery. -

The power of Galen's last attack surprised him. "This strange weapon finally started behaving", he thought. Or was it him? He felt more confident jumping into a fight that he used to be, less worried about dying on the cold stone floor of a damp cave. "So many fights in a few days, perhaps when we return to Eubric I should look into training for an advanced class." Galen smiled as the Toxiprogg barged in. "Ah, our saviour! How do Proggs normally reach this place? Do you swim or burrow under the water? I would be tempted to find the Manor, but the bridge is now gone. What are our options?" Galen then turned to the nurse. "I'm glad that you decided to pull out of the battle, Beatrice. We won't fight you if there's no need to. Perhaps you would like to come back to the city with us, the Toxiproggs can see that you are safe until we put an end to the princes rule?" Remembering the items the Progg Psychologist had dropped, Galen pointed at the old book. "Sylph, is there anything in that book or those papers that could help us right now?" -

Galen watched as the Bomber Progg stunned Sylph in a last ditch effort. The battle was going well, but Galen was wondering if it wouldn't be more prudent to remedy the druid before anything bad happened. -
There, an idea for your next Quest! You could call it: "Between a Rock and a Hard Place"
-
And I'm going to regret having asked this! Sure, once Galen retires from Heroica! I could easily raise an army and take over the world.
-
Ahah, the players are taking control of the game! Truthfully, I don't even know where to go from here -- are humans and Proggs er... compatible? But it doesn't matter, it's just nice to meet more Proggs who are not pure evil. And if that could justify their recurring presence in Eubric as NPC or such, I say all the better!

Heroica RPG - Quest #48: Death's Homecoming

Galen was relieved to see Beatrice back away. She didn't sound fanatical like the other Proggs they had fought so far, perhaps she deserved a second chance. Proggs surviving the bloodshed would need help from people like her. Proggs were talented, inventive, they could teach humans many things. Those who wanted to peacefully coexist with the other races of Olegaia should be allowed to. That, plus he had to admit that she was charming. As for the others... Galen attacks Artillery Progg from the front row. -

"Glad to hear that you haven't forgotten them! What would they do without you? See, there's no way we're going to stop until this Progg invasion is squashed. Anyone standing in our way we kill. Barbaric, but necessary -- we're defending our homes and our lives after all. Or at least the homes and lives of those who are paying us good money to help them. You are about to follow Rhodus, The Bleeding and so many other Proggs to your untimely demise. Please Beatrice, stand down while you still have a chance. Fight with us, or at least help us by not interfering. You can still care for your younglings, make yourself useful by healing the wounds of your people, maybe even find a good nurse job in Eubric? As long as you're alive there is hope. Do you value dying to serve the princes more than living to raise your children?" Galen attacks Beatrice from the front row with his Murkwood Thread. -

"Sounds good to me." Galen takes a Remedy to stop the bleeding, all the while grumbling that in a medbay he had to care for himself. Which reminded him... "Nurse, oh nurse! We've never been properly introduced. I'm Galen, please don't tell me your name is just 'Progg Nurse'. What's your take on all this misery brought upon you, upon us all by your invasion of our city? Wounded Proggs, blood everywhere. Was this all necessary? Are you all slavishly following those hot-headed brothers who are only seeking revenge for sins long forgotten by the rest of Olegaia? Isn't there a way for everyone to find a compromise, now that many have fallen on each side, and call a truce? I know of Proggs who disagree with this blind violence, and who would rather settle peacefully here and find a way to carry on with their lives. The alternative I'm afraid is the extinction of your species, because there's no way you can win the war. Don't you have anything left worth living for?" -

"Ouch, that hurt. I hope your instruments were clean." Galen turned to the party. "I can use a remedy on Johon if someone else takes over with the nurse. Or I could remedy myself if Sylph takes care of Johon." OoC: Is a throwing weapon lost upon rolling Special Damage? -

Um... we could offer her a chance to join the resistance or something. A nurse is always handy. But maybe she's just as crazy as the rest of them. I should ask her what she thinks about this invasion business first. -

"Be careful what you wish for Alexandre, she might find that you need a Precise Incision!" "Right, never put play before work! That's my motto as well." -
What? I'm merely scouting for peaceful solutions to this conflict!

To his surprise, Galen found himself wondering what the Progg nurse was like under that hard purple shell of hers. "Oh, I see you are a very busy uh... woman, with your work here and so many hatchlings. I was looking forward to spend some time and get to know you better when this battle is behind us -- after all I predict that you won't have any patients left to take care of when we're done here." -
While not speaking for the whole staff, I have the feeling that threads for individual US states would 1) swamp the BSTF forum, and 2) be underused except perhaps for a few states. As you know, we already have a few country-based threads to post this kind of information: USA: Latest updates on LEGO set sales Canada: Canadian Eh? (in Community) UK: UK Sales Australia: Aussie sales! Share the news of LOCAL sales! And I may be forgetting some. I don't get the feeling that the general USA thread is too busy for members to also post very local findings if they wish to. Most sales are country-wide, but local findings are welcome there. Creating threads for individual US states or regions would greatly increase the numbers of topics that are of no interest to our non-US members, and I don't think the number of local findings warrants such subdivisions.

"Of course, good clean fun and education go hand in hand! Tell me everything there is to know about reproduction, while I try something different." Galen throws the Goblin Wrench at the Progg Nurse from the back row. OoC: Thanks Endgame! But you forgot to add to my gold! Also, for reference: Bomb XX - A nefarious weapon designed by mercenary explosivist XX. Deals 30 damage to all enemies and 10 damage to all allies, ignoring SP and row. (Dastan Trilogy) -

The largest USA/Canada sets of the 20th Century...

Yes, this is what I had in mind! I had no idea there had been a "predecessor" to this set with different content and packaging, but same set number. One learns every day! -

"You're tempting me, darling. I'm not sure I have the hang of this new whip, I could certainly use more practice!" Galen wondered for a fleeting moment what reproduction was like for these beasts. Then he picked up where he had left -- Progg Nurse from the front row. -
