All right, few hours left and still no conviction. Time for a list! - Irena: Two days have gone by and you are still evasive and non-committal. I don't know it you're on my side or not, and I don't have anything to base a decision on. And that's a problem. You of all people surely know that a Loyal not helping his side by being pro-active, and making it obvious that he's Loyal, is just as bad as the scum. I understand where the votes against you today are coming from. - Richelle: Where are you? Just like Irena, you're not helping us gauging you. You have voted with as much enthusiasm and conviction as if you were going to the dentist. It's not as if I could chat you up privately to find out where you're standing. - Petra: You've been on my back all day, and you're defending Irena without obvious motives. On top of that, you made sure that we knew that you would have voted for Sammy yesterday... given more time I presume. Things add up slowly. I'm not putting Dragana on my list, but she's not far from it. Starting a vote against Amy when there were already three people claiming she's suspicious is not very risky even for a scum, isn't it? This is all for now I think. No, Amy is not on the list, haha. She may be foolish to claim her trust, but that's what a Loyal would do publicly when unable to communicate privately. Think about it. Anyway, until I hear from her: Vote: Irena Spankowa Spalkowa (Shadows)

So I thought a bit longer about the recent events, and it would seem that we have a credibility issue. Please bear with me. One of the clues in the Otoko murder (wedding ring) was revealed by a suspect in the Flutwuck murder (Scotty Pie) One of the clues in the Flutwuck murder (no wedding ring) was revealed by a suspect in the Otoko murder (Mugg Kupp), although Mugg's clue doesn't change the suspect list. Two of the clues in the Flutwuck murder (cape and fleshie) were revealed by the same person, Roweena, and while one has been confirmed (the cape), the other (fleshie) has not. Roweena was heard defending Carly the Dark One on Day 1, so she's not beyond suspicion in my book. The problem is that the Otoko clue and the fleshie clue should be validated before someone uses their Investigation card. If either one has been falsified, it could lead us to waste the Investigation card on the wrong suspects. We still have a few Witness cards, probably more than what we need tomorrow. So I urge those who are not current suspects to confirm the clues mentioned above before the Investigation is performed.
-
Ok, so it was indeed a man who fled the Otoko murder scene. As expected three clues were all we would be given about this murder, now it's up to you if you want the other clues confirmed as well. Now is one of the four suspects more likely to be a Dark One than the others? The investigation later today should probably focus on the case that is less obvious of the two.

My, what a headache! I feel like I was drunk for the last three days! Mrs. Le Goninja, I really do think that your Brickton Special is just a tiny bit too potent. Well, let's see if I can still think strait. There being a killer in each of the two groups, I don't think that any of the suspects should be investigating either of the two deaths. I'd be happier if at least one of the Otoko murder clues was confirmed by someone else. I would prefer to keep my remaining witness card until tomorrow since I'm pretty much a confirmed townie, but then I'll probably end up dead tonight for the same reason. So what the heck: I would like to investigate the death of Craig Otoko.
-
Actually the reason why you weren't on my list was that you had spoken twice, while Richelle and Rupert had only spoken once by that time, simple as that. Besides, it wasn't exclusively a list of quiet people, but a list of people I thought were suspicious for different reasons -- and Harry's wild accusations probably had the opposite effect on me.
-
You don't understand. I didn't vote for Sammy merely because he used my list, or that he suggested someone investigate the people on that list. I voted for Sammy because instead of being reasonably wary of my list like everyone else, he seemed to believe it unresevedly, voted right away and also suggested to investigate all of the people on that list -- to make sure that our investigator would be busy for the next three nights. I had the feeling that Sammy knew that my list was useless and wanted us to focus on it so that the real scum would be unhindered. What was it that doesn't make sense? Which is...? If I were communicating privately with anyone, I wouldn't need to publicly state that I trust them.

Wow! I'm not familiar with whatever-punk nomenclature, but I love the gritty and retro-futuristic feel of this MOC! Well, not gritty like Alopex's New London but like industrial machinery in daily use. I don't know where your Ancients tales will take you, but somewhere down the road I'd love to see the factory this monorail is part of! The rail support pillars are perhaps a preview of nice things to come!
-
You were lucky for that. Although at this point I wouldn't want to be associated with those who knew that Sammy was Loyal. It's a good thing that you have an excuse for missing out on the vote. Well I would say that a spoken clue is different from a pictorial clue -- but what do I know. And I agree that it doesn't clear Dragana from being Not Loyal. I appreciate the thought. We need to work the best out of the situation despite the constraints. You may have a point Irena, in which case we're no closer to finding who Henry's killer is. What also troubles me is that in the absence of private communication we have no idea whether Henry and Sammy had important roles in this family. Let's hope that we were lucky and the Not Loyal didn't manage to eliminate any of the people who could have helped us the most in solving this unfortunate situation.
-
Interesting choice the killer made, going for Henry instead of letting him face the consequences of initiating a misguided lynch yesterday. I'm not sure exactly what that tells us about the Not Loyal though. Does this clear Dragana from being the killer, or are we talking about another lover?

The Lego Collector's Guide is one possible reference, if you have access to it. For sets 6553, 6387 and 6444, the Guide mentions availability both in EU and US. Do let me know if there are others you need to check.

Congratulations, SPECIAL themes moderator! No wait, I meant SPECIAL THEMES moderator! It's probably not an easy task keeping this hotchpotch of a forum well organised, but you're doing it brilliantly!

Great find! I'm posting the picture for reference. 2276 pieces for $199.99 regular price, pre-release end August -- expensive but it looks like there's a boatload of dark red in there!

Whatever happened to the LEGO Legends line?
Fugazi replied to Piranha's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the Legends line was a great concept that lost a lot in translation. As far as I can tell the boxes were nothing like the originals, the obsolete parts were replaced by newer versions or simply eliminated, the colours were converted to their modern versions, the instructions reformatted... I fully understand that for TLG it was the only reasonable thing they could do, recreating closer versions of the original sets would have been prohibitively expensive. But it may be part of the reason why the line didn't do so well with AFOL who were acutely aware of the differences between the originals and the copies. -
The 'manufacturer's description' seems quite legit though: The textile pop-up roof part is quite surprising. Looks like TLG went all out for this model!

Stand a chance to win a random Series 4 minifigures
Fugazi replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Woohoo! Thank you WhiteFang, I look forward to finding out which of the minifigs will come in the mail! And congratulations to the other winners! -
Vote: Sammy Spalkowa (Sandy) I'm not sure of this vote, and I'd be willing to change it if anything better comes up. However this seems the best option so far. Sammy has been a bit too eager to jump on the silent/suspicious players list, when there was barely any evidence against them. We all know that such a list is hardly authoritative at this point in the ordeal, yet he would have had them all investigated or voted off. Was this an attempt to mislead our investigator and have him waste a night action? I don't know, in this family of devious schemers it's hard to point the finger at anyone in particular, but I don't see wasting a day lynch as a viable option. Oh and Daniel my dearest husband, I need your warmth and support, where are you? Not in a dark corner with that brat Amy, I hope?
-
It would seem that some of you didn't like my mentioning the possibility of revealing our roles, or coming up with a list of silent people. Sorry for trying to make people speak up, trying to generate a debate when everybody was going 'OMG this is terrible what should we do' Actually this has worked just fine, you've all spoken up and now I think we're in a much better position to vote based on something rather than completely at random. Should I have added Amy? She didn't strike me as silent, but feel free to add her to the list. Anyway, I do find anyone clinging too much to that list suspicious. It's not scientific, just another means to make people talk.
-
Right, I'm back. With the whip! Let's see who's been acting suspiciously around here... Irena -- Good spirited, clean funny girl. Nothing constructive though, looks like she's trying to fly under the radar. Dragana -- copy-paste: Good spirited, clean funny girl. Nothing constructive though, looks like she's trying to fly under the radar. Richelle -- very quiet, probably busy chatting secretly with her dark allies. Rupert -- very quiet too, likely busy with Richelle. Of course I don't believe they're all Not Loyal, and perhaps the most treacherous are not on this list. Opinions?
-
That is quite possible, as there are a few people here either sitting off on the sidelines, or just laughing their a$$es off without contributing anything useful to the design of a Loyal strategy. Perhaps they're spending too much time in secret meetings to be bothered? I'll go over the list and come back with names.
-
Are you kidding Cornelia? With this heated conversation going on, we're all pretty much set on who to vote for already! Anyway, it appears that we're all stuck in this room together, with no way of talking privately to one another. Every suspicion that we share, every action that we plan together will also be witnessed by the Not Loyal among us. This is something I'm not used with, and we must think of the most appropriate strategy in these unfortunate circumstances. We do have a few options. We can shut our mouth, rely exclusively on our own deductions, and hope that those among us who can do something about the threat will act wisely during the night. Our actions will remain hidden from the scum but we won't able to join forces and coordinate plans, and we'll be heavily handicapped. I don't think this is a viable option at all. Another solution would be to reveal our role only upon discovering vital information. It has pros and cons, pros being that investigation results and such will be revealed and help us getting at the Not Loyal. Of course, once revealed the important roles can become targets for the scum -- but also for the protectors. The last option I see would be quite audacious. We could all reveal our roles right away, today. We could plan all of our actions in the open. It would be quite dangerous, but would also make it easier to find the liars among us, those whose actions do not match their claims. It would make this ordeal quite different from anything we might have encountered before. I welcome any comments on this matter. In the meantime, I'll go and refresh my make-up.

Intriguing! While I'd love to join in, I'd probably better stand aside and leave the place to someone who didn't make it into the current Mafia. However I'd be more than willing to take up the assistant position if you would have me, I'm online quite a lot during your night time. How many players are you aiming for? -
