Cool idea! Just don't sell it...
-
...you're kidding, aren't you? TLG has never had a problem with violence providing it's not realistic today violence... for example. If you think that castles are all about princesses and parades then I see your point but otherwise...

Thanks for the review! It's an instant classic! It's quasi-new. Nah, Star Wars isn't very original. As Rufus said, it is more accurate to say it's based on War of the Worlds. I've got one in 90% complete form but I've never considered it finished. Here's a photo of it (top right) four years ago! (I'll stop hijacking your topic now... )

Very cool! Has Mikael considered programming that robot to do the job for him?

Grand Dukes can open/close their own topics. That's probably why it's there. I'm not sure why that privilege is enabled but for now it'll stay that way...

Yeah so... -
WallNager. I have a background changing obsession...

The App Inventor is rather limited at the moment and produces oversized apps. But yeah, I'm serious about the app. I've got a non-LEGO related program on the market already.

Something Wrong with my screen?
Siegfried replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in Forum Information and Help
Sounds like a font caching issue. Rebooting your computer five times while singing "Mary Had A Lamb" should fix it. -
More Lego to win in the raffle & one more week to go!
Siegfried replied to dels_tesis's topic in Community
It's OK, and I've replied. (Creating multiple topics on the same subject just bumps down other topics and starts bumping wars....) -
Pirates of the Caribbean: Flying Dutchman Petition
Siegfried replied to Mr_Malfoy's topic in General LEGO Discussion
....OK let's not go silly here. I'm sure TLG will make a Flying Dutchman if they can. This petition will make no difference at all so... -

Please stop creating new topics; just re-use your existing one. I'll merge them later. Other questions I'll ask you personally... EDIT: Merged. -
Does anybody else like Motorcycles around here?

Reluctant sale? Care to explain or should I mind my own business? -
Updated! I've added most of the new and upcoming sets, and for the forums that I've indexed in the past all recent reviews and sets should be in there. Pirates now has a greater presence due to Pirates of the Caribbean, but History is still at about 0% completion. Yes, it is good! Does this mean I/we will stop work on this? No. For one, it's obviously not EB user based, but also I want this database for several reasons. For example I want to create an Android based program that has a complete offline set catalog with EB links. It's a dream of mine... When I finish this (I am catching up, not falling behind so I should) I think the sites should try to work out a standard so we can all update at once; Brickset has an excellent interface standard which makes it possible. If I added something similar the sites could talk together and do the work for us! I do plan to allow anyone to edit this once I'm mostly complete, but at this stage the moderation/confirmation involved would roughly equal the the work needed to create the database in the first place so I can't see the point.

I love this set, but oddly it's one of the few Atlantis sets I haven't bought yet. Thanks for the review!

Sorry, but I converted those images to links; they are way too big.

Nice opinon but you've clearly got the wrong friends. My friends and family use Facebook to plan their next party. (Many definitions of Gen Y include 70s as well, and many definitions of Gen X include 90s. It's nice though to at last know who you're generalising about.) No, the hackers should go to jail like all criminals. My profile is correct. Please don't question my honesty and I won't question yours. Exactly. Thus why should I be concerned? I check my credit card statement several times a week for odd transactions, and I've never had a single problem or loss over the 12+ years I've had one. Thus I'm not concerned. Please tell me why I should be concerned. None of this information is actually private in reality. But I never said I wasn't concerned about that anyway, I was talking about my credit card. Please don't misquote me. Indeed it does. Thanks for posting the good news.

Anybody selling Minifigure series 1?
Siegfried replied to LEGO AFOL's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Please don't bump sales topics. -
Very good review and I'm especially impressed with that first photo; the background blending work is excellent! I'll have to buy this set now; I've got the old one in a semi-broken state due to my recent move but I'd much rather this one.
-
You and your Gen Y rubbish. You are aware there is no clear meaning to that term? I could be one depending on what know-it-all-generaliser is making the lecture and selling the book. Besides, I think you're more talking about Gen Z... As for the Apache server stuff, there's no actual facts in regard to that so I have no comments on that for now. Even so, I don't buy into the logic of people deserving problems if they don't take every single precaution. I hope you're equally philosophical when bad things happen to you. Besides, Sony may have been slack and failed to keep servers updated (which is harder to do on a big system integrated than a lot of people realise), but what happened to PSN is a crime. Yeah, more money wasted on patches rather than new features. Thanks hackers. Yeah, that does suck. Sony does have my credit card details but I'm not concerned at all; Commonwealth Bank have already posted that they aren't concerned and they'll cover any fraudulent use. If a bank isn't worried why should I be?
-
Nice review! BTW, your intro photo is much better than the box shot. (Theirs has too much reflection.)
-
Very true, how dare Sony try to use that law thing on criminals. They should have just taken the matter into their own hands; make a bigger botnet and crash their servers. That'll learn 'em. Yes, I'm being sarcastic. What exactly did Sony do wrong here? Yeah, they removed the Other OS feature (one which 99% of users don't care about) and lawsuits on against Sony that are pending. People boasted about how they have bypassed Sony's PS3 security, so Sony sued them over it. The way I see it Sony didn't start this whole suing thing, they are just being defensive. In any case, why do they "kinda" deserve more criminals to target them? I wish I knew. It'd be nice if Sony would give some hints. What they're saying now is "As we get closer to restoration of service". Luckily I don't play on-line games.

Over 200 Lego Star Wars Sets plus lots of Minifigs
Siegfried replied to kyphur's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Official Answer! He can post here, but you can't create topics here. No hacking necessary. -
Thanks for the review! It's good timing as I'm working on an index update right now. (It's nice to have sets to add for Sci-Fi again... ) I'm loving this new theme! (As requested criticism ;the photos. I'm not sure how you're lighting them, but if you modify your "white-balance" you can fix that easily. Other than that it's a great first review.)
-
Great review! So far I want all of these sets, mostly for the detailing parts. I'm surprised though that you're sounding unhappy about the small box; isn't it a good thing?
