  1. Sorry, you have to have been abroad at least once. Naah, welcome to Eurobricks Isaac. It started as a pan-European AFOL community, but quickly took over the world. The name never changed, the current subtitle - "Uniting LEGO Fans around the world" - should tell you you're welcome here.
  2. I agree with Erik. If as a member you're asked to not use quoting excessively, why does it have to be enforced by technology? We've had a similar discussion about the size of signatures and there were some members who stayed just within the limits but still had terribly annoying signatures. Excessive regulation tends to have these unintended consequences. Besides, there is a very common situation where you have many people commenting on a MOC or an idea and you'd like to reply to them all in one post or you'd like to reply to a number of arguments brought forward by one person. The unintended consequence of limiting the number of quoted lines in a post would be that you'd have to reply in multiple posts instead of one.
  3. That's more or less the same with Brazil: World Cup in 2014, Olympics in 2016.
  4. Check the index of tutorials.
  5. Not exactly what I would imagine when thinking about an entry for this contest, but that's a good-looking rescue truck. I also like how you've done the tire marks in the snow. Don't think I've seen this before.
  6. 'Photo' shows in the box in the top-right corner and as a photo on your profile, 'Avatar' shows next to your posts.
  7. ... and as always, all about ranks and tags is explained in this topic.
  8. Re-using set numbers has been done before, especially with sets that were only released in Europe or the U.S., 6075 and 6375 come to mind. But it certainly has not occurred recently to my knowledge. Furthermore, whereas they are probably designing for 2012 already, I doubt TLG is at the point where set numbers and names are finalized.
  9. You mean a new (sub)forum? If you ask me, I'm totally against it, because I usually prefer the more 'peaceful' LEGO themes. But I think this discussion has been brought up many times before, so let's not go there. All of the theme forums so far have actual current or LEGO lines from the recent past backing them up. So that at least seems to be one criterion for setting up a separate theme forum that a (contemporary) 'war' theme doesn't meet.
  10. I really enjoyed your Western series, but the graphical presentation of this is nearly as good, if not as good. I really like the completely new town style you've created for LEGOpolis.
  11. Nice work. I like the snow covered track and the roof. The cheese slopes work really well.
  12. Nice idea for a store Skalldyr and I really like the little scenes surrounding it. The guitar case is brilliant.
  13. That's some insane SNOT-ting you've achieved.
  14. Nice first review! This is better than I thought when the first pictures leaked.
  15. I also am the proud owner of those two sets. The Bus station, until recently was really something unique. Until City Corner and Public Transportation Center, TLG didn't do buses (forget about the Sports buses) for 30 years! These two plus 361 Garage are my only buildings with three-digit set numbers, so one of those three must have been first.
  16. Agreed, plus wouldn't they want to see your receipt and see that you got 50% off on your second item?
  17. Nice minifig part usage on the elves. Whereas the face works really well, I was wondering whether there would be another face available that works well for an elf to make them look a little different?
  18. Thanks everyone!
  19. The '[media]' BBcode seems to be the way to do it, but I've been playing around with it, but only got as far as 'Flash videos are not allowed'. Guess it's time to ask Sieggy.
  20. No, it's the foot of the minifig's right leg. Don't you know your minifig anatomy?
  21. Make that BBcode. But yes, you're right. 'Share this', then 'Grab the HTML/BBCode', and tick the 'BBcode' box. Copy/paste and you should be done.
  22. Well, their chances of finding the remaining mafia are going to increase after one or two townie kills the coming night.
  23. Thanks for another early review TheBrickster. The plane (as all modes of transport in PQ) looks great in dark-red. And that pilot jacket is an excellent torso. I also like how they incorporated a play feature in this set, even though many will detach this the instance they built it. Been doing some time-traveling?
  24. Such an nice idea for a Winter Village entry. The train, especially the carriage, fits the theme perfectly and the building looks really nice too, especially with such a detailed interior. Excellent work.
  25. Rick

    Baby girl!

    Congratulations pedro and Mrs. pedro!
