  1. It's like to the age issue. It's much better to leave a little discretion to the staff and as Siegfried said, tightening rules generally does not give you what you were looking for in the first place, because there would always be someone who would think of an insanely annoying signature that would just comply with the rules. Many signatures on EB probably don't strictly comply with the 'rules', but are less disruptive than what you had as a signature. And usually it doesn't hurt to take the staff's advice, they generally know what they're doing...
  2. Naaah, you're Dutch, stop denying it, we're all Dutch... At first I though you had built skyscrapers in the top-right corner of the table, bit it turned out to be your storage area.
  3. That last version looks just about right. Nice job.
  4. Really nice selection of vehicles. Too there's no real engine/pumper. That would really complete it (instead of having both a ladder an aerial vehicle). I also think the wheels - especially for the ladder and the aerial - are a a little too large, but I guess that depends on your building scale. One final thing that bothers me is the height that the two 'extensible pieces' add to the height of the aerial, but then again I have no suggestion how to easily solve that. Overal: very nice MOCs though!
  5. This looks really great. The outside looks great, and I really like all the attention you spent on the inside. All the meeting, class, and office rooms look so nicely detailed. Well done!
  6. Welkom/Welcome to Eurobricks

    City 2010

That interior looks nice. But why did they have to use that large one-piece set of wings again. I hate it most because it messes up the interior.
  8. Nice one! I like the color scheme. My only comments would be that the cab is a little large (I don't like the height) and the bed is a little high. You might consider getting rid of those wheel arches to be able to lower it some.
  9. 14 figs!? Yeah of course I knew that fact, but still... it must have been an amazing 'play set', even on its own. You're a true fan of Lego when those panels bothered you back then already...
  10. Clever use of that baseplate in a Pirate island MOC. But... you might want to avoid upsetting the moderators with those image sizes...
  11. Being French is not an excuse ( ) and what is it with guys picking 'Angel' as a nickname? Second time I was fooled by that...
  12. Lego seems to go 'classic' with many themes indeed. The City Corner and Camper sets in the 2009 and the 'Smart' car in the 2010 City theme are examples of more 'civilian' sets that AFOLs also appreciate. Pirates is indeed a clear example, but you know what happened a year after the introduction...
  13. ... goo goo gajoob ga goo goo gajoob For me it also isn't an either love or hate matter... I just 'like' the Beatles, especially the later stuff.
  14. Version 2 looks best to me. I like the placement of the cabinet over the placement in version 3. The problem Ralph S mentions with the double slope 1 x 6 with cutout becemes more apparent now. So you may want to redesign the chassis a little...
  15. He's been known to adapt to trends, so he may become Captain Orangehair soon...
  16. As an outsider it's pretty informative to read this 'after-party' thread, especially with everyone's roles being posted and the experienced players' feedback on the game. I find it hard to follow a game by just reading the 'day'-threads. I guess it's more learning-by-doing and not so much by merely observing. Maybe I'll give it a go with ImperialScout's upcoming mafia-game.
  17. That's indeed a bad mistake to make to give away all your Lego. The worst mistake you make in your opening post is to write 'legos' The plural form of Lego is Lego! But you're forgiven if you promise to never do that again If you're a girl, which your name suggests to me (but the last time I was wrong ), you may also want to check out this thread. Anyway: Welcome to Eurobricks!
  18. Opening post says June, but I remember reading August somewhere as well. Anyway, it'll be a while...
  19. It indeed looks a little like the Town Plan tanker. I initially thought you were going for something like this. Ah, that's even simpler. I thought you used these: . Still looks really good though!
  20. Great work Blackmoor! The exterior is really nice, with the anchor and wheel decorations. The roof made of 'log' bricks is also really clever. The interior is really spectacular though. Everything looks so neatly finished and the furniture is really nicely designed. But: The model ship is the very best detail!
  21. Nice pickup. However, I tend to agree with the other comments given here. I hope you'll fiddle around a little with it and post a second version sometime. That car trailer is really nice too.
  22. What type of vehicle is it based on? For a 4 x 4 pickup it looks way too long, and for an American truck - which I initially thought it was based on - it isn't wide enough for my taste. However, I really like the transitions you made between 4- and 5-wide. I like the technique used for the tank trailer: it's something I've seen before, but it's a really nice technique with those rounded slopes.
  23. I'd rather get more copies of any of the ones you have than complete the collection with any of the 'missing' ships.
  24. Nice work Zuloo. The color scheme is great. I especially like the blue and yellow on top finished off with brown tiles.
  25. Looks great JJ. The gumball machine looks nice with those shinny chromed bricks. Are you using skis next to the entrance? Wonder how that will look when finished.
