  1. Turkey legs are the best!
  2. Noooooo! Hans, you can't be dead, you barely said a word, who could have wanted you any harm?? Oh Susan, we're all alone now, may God have mercy on us. Rest in peace my dear husband, your death will be avenged somehow. Now who shall pay for this mess? Mr Stash, you have made a bold accusation but what facts do you have supporting your claim? You have been protected by someone, haven't you?
  3. Wow, beautiful lighting! Thriller on!
  4. I agree with your points, TLG wouldn't market any fan-designed set that would go against their basic principles. However, since they will give feedback early during the process, any such issues can be discussed and the design adjusted if necessary. Fundamentally "wrong" projects like tanks and such probably wouldn't gather much support here on EB anyway. That's a lovely anecdote! Thanks for the suggestions, a modular Bank building sounds like a great idea! Let's see what others think and get more input. By the way, I think there is already an official Sydney Opera House in the works, it was discussed somewhere on EB earlier this year! EDIT: here and here
  5. I had a look at a similar topic posted in the Technic forum by Crtlego a little while ago, and I thought that Cuusoo was a great concept that could have fans beyond the Technic forum. I didn't want to hijack that topic so I'm posting this here in the hope that there would be some interest from non-Technic fans too. As Crtlego mentioned: "Cuusoo is actually an official partner with the Lego Group. Basically, if you have an idea for a new lego design or product you "create a wish" (upload a design) with the details of your idea and if 1000 other people wish for your idea then your idea can become a reality. The concept seems to work and when you browse different topics on there page some of the ideas are labeled "available" which I interpreted as somebody's idea turned into a product." Actually, one project has already made it to the 1000 supporters level and is being readied for production by TLG at the moment: see here and here (set 21100 "Shinkai 6500"). As you can see, there's no need to submit an actual brick-built design, sketches or pictures of the actual object will work too. This can be an excellent opportunity to request new part designs or unusual colours. I submitted an idea myself (minifig-scale articulated city bus), but I realise that for this to really work, the suggested ideas must come as a result of a group brainstorming. It's not easy to get 1000 pledges, and I don't think that the EB membership would be sufficient to gather that much support for any suggestion, but if we come up with good ideas then we can get the ball rolling and find more support in the general Cuusoo membership. I'm looking for ideas, suggestions! Please keep in mind that we need to come up with designs that would be of interest to the greatest number of people, if we want to make it happen. I would like to discuss ideas in this thread, and eventually add the ones that sound the most promising to the Cuusoo list. And then your support will be essential to the wish going up in the ranks and eventually becoming a real product. Only 50 votes are enough for TLG to give feedback on the design/idea. At 500 votes, they start working on preliminary designs for production. There are dozens of wish lists of different themes all over EB, so bring your best ideas here and let's see which ones would fire up the most people! Do also have a look at the suggestions in the Technic Cuusoo thread, they are definitely worth your support! Also, if you already have wishes up on Cuusoo, this would be a good place to promote your ideas. A few random suggestions to start the discussion: - Western set? - Pirate-era building? - Classic Space-style ship or base? or Blacktron perhaps? - world-famous building that hasn't been done yet? - collectible-style minifigure? - historical set: Greek/Roman/Viking/Asian etc?
  6. Ahaha congratulations cralegoboy, actually I'm surprised that anyone survived! You're softening, Shadows!
  7. New to the board, right. I'm sure this is the same kid who's been chambered today for posting crap in the very same style. Sorry for the OT.
  8. This was fun while it lasted! Thanks Shadows for this brief gory adventure! I am curious, was I killed by scum or a misguided townie? Yes, I knew from investigating him, so there's no way he could have survived last night!
  9. Seven dead and only one intruder found? Not good, not good! (Although it did make for good breakfast) Please take your time and investigate, people! I'd hate to die again so soon. Unless it helps selling more records, that is. It doesn't matter who's wrong or right Just beat it, beat it...
  10. Ditto! But if they had replaced one of the regular cops in the small set with a detective in new light blue shirt and tie, it would have made a really neat part pack!
  11. Congratulations Lanterne Rouge! My final choice would be Dr. Ohm.
  12. Nope, and I find that highly suspicious! Perhaps the rock band members were promised the bus would return for them after 5 days? I think we have a target! I think I feel like doing the moonwalk, I'll be back in a minute.
  13. Oh really?! It wasn't meant to be very scary, but if it works then all the better!
  14. Yeah, we'll burn the intruders alive while hanging them from a tree falling in a dirty pit of rusty blades teeming with poisonous snakes. But in the meantime, let me sing a song for the children of the Earth. So this one’s for all the lost children...
  15. Impressive! This is professional design work!
  16. One more night background is on: Clear but windy. Had trouble finding the cache image address though, is it due to the new style website?
  17. 24 Background Time: Night Forecast: "Clear but windy" Message: "Hero Factory Operational Status: Maintenance required. Shut down all garbage mashers on the detention level." (a repeat message again)
  18. I never was anything but a pacific, friendly chap who loved to act as a kid -- hell, I'm sure I had an impressive Lego collection too back then! But now that I am dead, I could probably unleash my worse instincts and become a bad person. Or maybe just write a song to help zombie charities? Oh by the way have you seen my chimp lately, I don't want him playing outside with all those strangers in the village.
  19. Hi, I'm Michael Jackson, the king of pop! It was of course bound to happen that after my death I would turn into a zombie. I'm the real music star in this village, but if that pseudo-zombie rock band want to open my show, they're welcome to. I can't vouch that they will survive the gig though!
  20. Cause this is thriller, thriller night! Or Halloween, whatever!
  21. The evidence against Mr White is solid, and he did very little to convince us otherwise. Unless he comes up with a better explanation or alibi, my vote is cast: Vote: Frank White/ Whitefang
  22. Match 1 - Archer Match 2 - Buzzcat Best of luck to both remaining contestants!
  23. Very interesting prototypes! It's amazing how the police ship in the fourth picture looks like a Classic Space ship of the Galaxy Commander design era!
  24. Minifig girl theme? Harbour subtheme? Adventurers return? I dare anyone to claim that TLG don't listen to AFOL wishes! I'm glad that we just had a baby girl, I'm sure she would want me to buy her girl Lego for when she's older!
