Who are you in The Prince of Persia? THE WINNERS!
Fugazi replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Licensed
Woohoo!! I'm so excited! Where to begin? I would like to thank everyone who voted, especially those who voted for my avatar of course , and also Shadows for organizing this great contest, my Lego bricks who gave all they got for me, my parents for being very supportive throughout the contest, my wife for putting up with the late nights working on my avatar, sorry honey I promise now I'm all yours, and everyone here at EB for being a great crowd! Thanks again everybody! And I really think that the camel would be the most appropriate for me! -
Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Day 1
Fugazi replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
True, but some of our fellow citizens are still slumbering after yesterday's long day of work, and haven't all had a chance to defend their innocence in public. So alas we can't just assume that those keeping silent are all Nizam, and slit their filthy throats during their sleep! -
Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Day 1
Fugazi replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I agree with badboytje88 here, by the hairs of my camel your words sound fishy. We honest civilians have no way of knowing that the Nizam are aware of each other... so either you Alan Wake just assumed that they do, or you're one of them. Would you care to explain? One more thing... I would think that most Nizam would be eager to come forward first and pretend their innocence before anyone suspects them... So are we to think that those who haven't spoken yet are possibly innocent? Just a thought. -

So if I understand correctly, we can PM our 3 wishes even before the night falls? -
Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Day 1
Fugazi replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
No one will write anything on the side of my camels, I swear, even if I need to stay up all night to guard them! I think the best way is to live through the night is to form a protection alliance with someone. Now, besides my camels, is there anyone I can trust for sure? The Nizam are so sneaky, they can be anyone. -
Wow. I'm speechless.

How long do you wait until you open your lego?
Fugazi replied to Ratshot's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Very variable for me, from the same day up to a week or so later. I still happen to open impulses and other small sets in my car on the way home, like when I was a kid... just that now, I'm the one driving -
Not to mention that you turn an eternally recyclable toy into a plain boring toy, that you will be able to display and dust but not to modify, trade or resell. Knowing more about your motivations would help us give you better advice on how to avoid any extreme actions!

Nice MOC, I like the bright colours and joyous overall mood. My only gripe is with those spiral stairs who look a bit perilous. Where I come from McDonald's did serve pizza for a couple of years. It was rubbish though

Prince of Persia Theme Month Game: Rules and Players
Fugazi replied to Shadows's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Hi folks, you know me, I am... hmm... Firouz, the camel herder. Don't judge by the avatar, I also provide the finest camel costumes for the shah's wild parties! Anyway, this Nizam plague is getting me and my camels worried, it's not good for tourism and not good for my health. The sooner we get rid of them the better. -
Well there's a croco coming up in 2010, so why not the giga-parrot too?

Interesting, it could mean that TLC thinks that the Diver, the Dummy and the Ninja are the least interesting minifigs of the series. So no chances of finding say 4 cheerleaders in the same box then. Makes sense though, it's probably easier for the factories to implement a fixed packaging system than a partially random one. I wonder if the position of every minifig within the box is the same for every box, that would be interesting to know! Like, the first bag in the left row would always be Ninja for example. Anyway, thanks for the great review WhiteFang! Just a side comment though... I do feel a slight tinge of sexism here... you have the 'responsible diver', the 'brave forestman', the 'adventurous spaceman', the list goes on, but the 'beautiful nurse' and the 'sexy cheerleader'? Are those the only qualities you can find for women?!

There seem to be some new 1x3x2 rounded slopes (in dark grey) on the support pillars, they appear to be made to fit the quarter domes in PoP and GE... or maybe it isn't a new piece?

Yikes it's getting crowded in here, almost time to start the killing! I'm in! -

Hmm tough call, so many good ones ! I'll go for the Telemarketer Hassasin, by Inconspicuous, for he burns fear into the hearts of his victims! -
Thanks for the great review, very enjoyable! The set itself is ok in my opinion, but I don't feel this is one where printed parts are really welcome. The pizzas, the license plate I consider good choices for prints, as the base parts are common and the prints easily reused elsewhere. The windscreens and doors however are uncommon parts and would have been more useful to me as plain pieces with stickers. So I guess it all depends on whether one buys the set for display or for the parts.

Only the exclusive Lego Store/Shop at Home sets are given 10xxx set numbers, and as far as I know this is not going to be a Lego exclusive. The criteria you mention are not indicative of an exclusive set. Not to mention that we don't know for sure the number of minifigs. 'Lots of minifigures' is very a very subjective statement, 5 minifigs could still be considered a lot from a merchandising point of view.

Fabulous work! Lovely colours, and I really like the technique of fitting tiles sideways into your arches, never saw that one before.

TRAM!!! This is a dream come true! Now I really wonder what kind of tram they could have designed... the previous discussions in this very thread about the difficulty of releasing a tram set with the tracks not fitting on the road plates still hold true. Unless it's a trackless tram (a la Toy Story train set) or a set without road plates altogether, so that the trouble of making the tram fit our city becomes ours to solve! Why so? PS: Brickshop.nl has an expected delivery date of 1st October 2010 for set 8404.

True but Oky's seems to be the real thing, not an illustration.

Nice little house, I look forward to a close-up of the interior. That white jumper certainly fits a child better than an adult (re: Small Car) Could it be a reclining chair?

For me, it's often the opposite: I buy the sets for parts, and sell the figs! I'm thinking of themes like Toy Story, SpongeBob, etc that have sets with useful parts but figs that I have no use for. But yes, sometimes a nice minifig could drive me to buy I set I wouldn't have bought otherwise

Actually the scroll reads "far more powerfull"... is that old English or just a typo?

New world record for tallest LEGO tower
Fugazi replied to Matija's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
I suppose they have the wires up for safety reasons, just like the metal bar (?) running through it, and as long at they're not providing any real support the structure is considered free standing. Just imagine, that kind of structure falling down would be spectacular... and lethal!
